bonsaiisuperstar
Just wondering what all the enthusiasts think. If you could choose four legendary coaster people to be on Mount Rushmore, who would they be? Mine: Anton Schwarzkoph Werner Stengel Alan Schilke John C. gerstlaueringvar
Anton Schwarzkopf Werner Stengel Alan Schilke Ron Toomer These four people's success are connected IMO. I think most of the good B&M's have a lot to do with Werner Stengel so... Edited August 30, 2014 by gerstlaueringvar
CanobieFan
John Miller (created up stop wheels) Anton Schwartzkopf (first successful looping coaster) Alan Schlike (first SUCCESSFUL inverting wooden coaster) Herbert Schmeck (World famous PTC designer)
StLCPfan
Not to be too nitpicky, but wasn't Cedar Point's Corkscrew designed concurrent with Revolution but opened later in the year because of Sandusky, Ohio's climate and CP's later opening date? So I would give the first vertical loop a tie between Schwarzkopf/Intamin and Arrow. No Fred Church fans? I'd have a monument just to him besides a Rushmore style multi-face memorial to influential coaster designers.
Nrthwnd
Actually, it might be interesting if the four fave coasters could be listed as "Mount Rushmore" carvings... possible? And I can remember specific coasters more than creators/designers/builders of such stuff. Just my five cents.
