  1. A quality park employee also confirmed the RMC raptor possibility Monday when I was at the park. He said it will be going back by the Larson Loop Eye of the Storm. If that holds water, that will be the 3rd Schilke designed rollercoaster in the park. Pretty sweet. He also said that the park has a 200 ft height limit due to the airport vicinity, and that Kentucky Flyer was almost a hyper. And BTW, I preferred my Monday at KK over my Sunday at HW by far. Better selection of coasters

  3. I was at CP the past 2 days and besides the access passes, everything was running smoothly. There are some shops and eateries closed, but they have brought in various employees from other parks to fill the gaps in ride operations. All in all a good 2 days. And I as well, was able to snag SV, MF and Maverick passes, along with a ride on Rougarou, within an hour inside the park. Got 3 rides on SV on Wednesday. BTW, a transplanted Carowinds supervisor informed me Carowinds will stay closed this year
  4. I would rather have Moes or Qdoba over Chipotle, cause I want queso on my burrito. And as far as I know, Chipotle does not offer it.
  5. AGREE...this things looks spectacular. From the theming, design, and the color choice, this has to be one of the best pieces of rollercoaster eye candy.
  6. I would count it as a new credit for the fact you change from standing to sitting. As for new credits, for me it is based upon a layout change (Texas Giant) or seating change (Rougarou) as stated.
  7. I thought that there was a rumor that they were to get a RMC Goliath clone...maybe, maybe not?
  8. Like Fury325, Shambahala, and Banshee. But I really like the ones with the paint job that goes well with the surrounding land and theming, such as BBW and BARON among others.
  9. The green piece of track kind of looks like BARON track, but aren't they done with track over there?
  10. Everything looks spot on. Love the merch, especially the two shirts in the first store picture.
  11. Take notes Cedar Fair and Six Flags, new attractions on opening day. Don't remember, did Outlaw Run open on time?
  12. ^I know right. Even people here at work who hardly ride rollercoasters come up to me and say, "Man, have you seen that new crazy fast rollercoaster at Carowinds." Fury 325 is everywhere right now...which is not the case for Tempesto.
  13. Man, the theming seems to be so top notch. A lot of those European and Asian parks do go the extra mile for that. If only some of the parks around here would do that. Outside of Disney and Universal, not too many parks would put that kind of money into theming. Other than that, the ride looks great.
  14. The building to the left of the new entry has some similar façade as Cedar Points new entrance...I am sure it is all going to look great.
  15. I am pretty sure Kings Dominion had an Intamin Flight Trainer or something like it.
  16. ^^I will never forget when the lights came on while I was waiting in line just about to get on. I had ridden it about a dozen times before, and never had the lights come on. Then, there we were, my brother and I were just about to board when the ride broke down. It was a surprise to both of us. Kind of a little bit of a deflator.
  17. I am sure it has been posted, but the Q&A on Facebook said they DO NOT have an exclusive deal with Six Flags, they just keep them busy and are easy to deal with.
  18. 17 bucks...is that how much it is now...JIMMINY CRICKET. I rode it once, but never again...especially not at that price. And I never noticed how bad that turn looks after the dive loop before the hill into the brake run. Good night, that looks like one of those Chinese knock-off coaster turns.
  19. I believe I am correct in saying the new entrance to the park is right where the tunnel is...right?
  20. From the looks of it, I couldn't had agreed with you more about WoF and Dorney. They both have pretty much the same line up of coasters, as well as flats. The only thing really different is the lack of a descent wooden coaster at Dorney, and the lack of a Possessed "style" ride at WoF.
  21. I love B&Ms, but totally agree that they build more for the "GP" side. But also the park or franchise owner has a lot to say about it too. It would be nice to see a park owner open up and tell B&M to go "no holds barred" on a future project just to see what they can do. I am hoping that Thunderbird and Fury325 will be a step in that direction.
  22. The more I see actual photos of this thing, the more it reminds me of a "Shambhala meets Maverick". A B&M hyper with a sweet turn, along with some low to the ground speed maneuvers.
  23. New record breaker accelerator with a loop on the return. A little addition to the one trick pony. Will have to wait to see some more info on it, and if it actually gets built.
  24. I think whatever coaster goes by "__ Inversion Coaster" takes the cake for me. It is like calling El Toro the "Out and Back Coaster."
  25. Amen to whole strip mall thing. Plus, it seems every Civil War battlefield is slowly shrinking (Antietam, Manassas, etc...) That is except for Gettysburg. It would have been cool to have Disney in our "backyard".
