  1. Saw that video too, and I have to say that is one cool one. Also think the launch lift concept in the video is pretty cool too.
  2. I would love an Incredibles ride. Would be perfect with the sequel coming out in a few years! I already kind of assume that we'll get some sort of iteration of the Monsters Inc dark-ride. I would personally love a Tron attraction, but seeing as the sequel hasn't been greenlit and nothing has been said in a while, I doubt that's gonna happen. Maybe an upgraded version of the Indy ride at Disneyland could find it's way to Florida too. Also, agree on the 5th gate. The TRON ride in Shanghai appears to already have the green light, so TRON at DHS wouldn't be that far-fetched. But a Star Wars Land or Cars Land would be a big hit for DHS.
  3. At least paint the supports black or something...just to break it up.
  4. ^Yeah, hopefully this will get some more manufacturers to push the limit with the height limit. It kind of reminds you a little of alton towers, instead of going up, they went down. We will see.
  5. ^^^I agree. Like the article said, they are just trying to stay ahead of the weather with getting the paint done. One less thing they would have to do if they have another rough winter.
  6. Stayed at Breakers a while back, so I had ERT. First ride for ERT was Maverick for my wife and I. Made her step up her running that morning and ended up front row on like the third train of the day. On that day, Maverick did pack up. Meanwhile we rode MF next with ERT and it was walk-on.
  7. ^Glad you are feeling better as well. Thanks for the update.
  8. Went the week after they filmed the Xmas parade, which was like the first full week in December. Unfortunately it was quite cold, but I think the lines were pretty reasonable.
  9. ^Holiday World seems to be pretty quick at Thunderbird as well...but they did have a little head start.
  10. Really big crane onsite, I guess for the top of the immelmann...
  11. They already have the next support up...man, they will have the immelmann done in no time.
  12. Couldn't agree more with Thunderhawk. Defenintly not re-rideable. As for Talon, that is one good B&M invert.
  13. I am sure someone already noted this, but the paint scheme looks exactly like Goliath @ SFMM. As well as Goliath @ SFOG.
  14. Steel Force-Last Car-Middle Row...nuff said.
  15. ^Couldn't agree more. Leave Toy Story Mania and Sunset Strip, then scrap the rest and redo.
  16. Man, there is a lot of hate for Wildcat. I love the ride, and would probably rank it second behind Skyrush. The back seat is the best. Plus, it is the first GCI coaster to boot.
  17. Interesting. I was pleasantly surprised by it as I had read mixed reviews here. And I actually think that the most forceful parts are after the immelmann: the turn right after felt pretty forceful and the last turn after the corkscrew was very forceful (you almost go 90 DEGREES). That combined with a few pops of floater air (which I rarely get on inverts) meant I liked it a lot. Of course, this is me and after all it's all a personal opinion. Have to agree with rcjp. The time I rode it, it also seemed it was really forceful after the immelmann. Especially the two roundabouts after the corkscrew that comes close to the ground. I thought it was great B&M invert...but not the best.
  18. Guess you haven't ridden Skyrush then...hahaha.
  19. ^When I rode GASM the year Medusa opened, it was a little rough needless to say.
  20. I feel like the reason Loch Ness Monster is good is because it avoids every element that makes other Arrow coasters rough. The worst things about Arrow's are any inversion that's not a loop, curved drops and high speed turns... this ride has none of those. Every turn is taken at a low speed (either because the train doesn't have any momentum yet or because it's high up in the air) the drops are all straight and there are no corkscrews so there's no awful transition leading into them. Loch Ness Monster is smooth because it was never given the opportunity to be rough. Arrow avoided all of the problem elements they had on their other coasters. Bingo, I think we might have a winner.
  21. ^Yeah, more wooden rollercoasters for the US...especially some Gravity Group coasters. They struck gold with Voyage, but now they seem awfully busy in China.
  22. Never noticed how uniform those supports looked back then. Someone on another post commented about how nice the Arrow supports looked.
  23. Steel-B&M, but Arrow would be a close second for being a pioneer and paving the way. Wood-GCI...RMC coasters aren't really wood like GCI or a CCI...closer towards a steel coaster most of the time (except for Outlaw Run and such).
