Yes please hillflyer, just put it on hold. This roller coaster is THE LEGEND, Fred Church's ultimate, and needs a model of it built. You have done such an amazing job so far. I wish I could send you the money you need to finish it, but sadly I'm poor too. I'm an amusement park NUT, and I haven't even been to a park since 2012 because of my financial difficulties. Please let this be a temporary stop. This model is WORTH finishing when you are able. YOU ARE AWESOME.

The bull crap of RCT and RCT2, or should I say the BIGGEST BS, is that Arrow hyper, Arrow/Vekoma looping, Vekoma SLC, and mine train tracks do not include the banked curving rise/fall piece that all the other tracks have.

Except that when the mid-course block brakes aren't applied heavily, the bunny hops on the Morgan hypers do provide airtime. I don't know where you got the info that Morgan hypers aren't supposed to have negative g's, but I always got the impression they were going for a less aggressive version of Magnum.

1) The seats on the StarFlyer (Six Flags' Sky Screamers) are in pairs, so you could ride with a friend/family member if you're worried you won't hear the ride ops' spiel about remaining seated or the okay to disembark. 2) It is obvious even without being able to see when the ride stops spinning and a moment later is lowered to the ground. You just need to pay attention to what's going on at the end of the ride. You should be hyper aware after your previous experience, so I wouldn't worry about forgetting this time and trying to get out before it's safe to do so. As others have said, you should be okay keeping your glasses on during a Sky Screamer ride. I have ridden the Sky Screamer at SFStL several times without even thinking twice about losing my glasses. The best part of the ride is the view.

I hadn't responded in your thread yet because I was waiting to see the final project and then tell you you're amazing and Fred Church reincarnated, but this is just making me so angry. I just got out of a 6 year relationship with a self-centered baby, and I'm feeling your pain here. I hope you're joking about the other 2 options. Please fix the model and put it somewhere that the dumbass can't damage it more. Is he possibly open to anger management counseling? It sounds like he needs it. EVERY park has ghost rumors, whether they be patrons who died in the park or people who lived on the land before the amusement park was built. The SFStL stories are 1)the ghost of the man who owned the farm the park was built on called "The Pig Man" and 2)the ghosts of the people who died on the 2 fatal accidents in the park, the girls who died in the skyway car fall and the woman who fell from the Railblazer coaster. I'm surprised you couldn't find more information on park hauntings in TPR's forum. I've seen several other websites with information on amusement park hauntings. Good luck with your research.

I thought substandard construction was SOB's failure. Wood support structure undergoes a lot of stress with that much weight and force, and RCCA just didn't build enough support structure to keep the ride from shaking itself to death. I think structural steel, or more if they did have some, in key places would have made SOB a better ride. As far as standup coasters, the issue with your head being farther away from the track is the biggest problem I have seen for a lot of people. When you're already standing up, going through the twisted maneuvers B&M put on some of their standup coasters just flings your body around much more than a sitting coaster. Just look at riders on a bus or train. When the vehicle makes a turn at higher speed or an abrupt stop or acceleration, standing riders' bodies jostle around more than sitting riders' bodies. B&M put some crazy quick transitions in Iron Wolf, Vortex CGA, and Mantis. Head banging from the quick transitions and shoulder harnesses that are in the perfect position to bash riders' temples and ears is the biggest complaint my friends an family have had with standup coasters. And of course the bicycle seat is not the best answer to stabilizing the body at midsection. Maybe if someone could re-engineer the seat area and find an efficient way to get Schwarzkopf style adjustable shoulder restraints that are comfortable and hug the shoulders without shifting down during the ride we might see another era of standup coasters.

Your pathways are too complicated with too many zigzags. Peeps tend to get turned around if there are too many corners. Perhaps if you don't want to change where your paths meander you could use a trainer to give every peep a park map. I don't know if that would help, otherwise you are going to have to make your paths less complicated.

You just need to make sure they are placed in your Rollercoaster Tycoon 2 ObjData folder on your computer. Your computer should either give you the option to place downloads in a specific folder before downloading, or if your computer automatically places them in a file folder like "downloads" you just move them over to the ObjData folder.

The only problem that I have with Rougarou is recognition. It's not like Sasquatch, a name that almost everyone knows is synonymous with Bigfoot. It's a pretty obscure Cajun bayou legend. It would make more sense in a park in that region of the country. But it's similar to the way the Schwarzkopf Monster at Six Flags Over Mid-America was named MoMo. We thought it was just a monster or maybe some lake giant octopus myth. MoMo is actually a Southwest Missouri bigfoot type creature. So I don't think many people will care too much about the name, and the swamp re-themeing and explanation of the name will add another culture's werewolf legend to most people's imagination, just as most of us on here didn't know about it until recently.

When RCT2 was released, Infogrames claimed that peeps could handle 2 across paths without getting confused and lost. From what I've seen playing parks with 2 across paths throughout, like the SFMM recreation that comes with the game, peeps meander back and forth between the 2 sides of the tarmac often, don't seem to head straight for rides, and often get turned around and just randomly find a ride with no real intent at times. You can't have 2 across paths on inclines and declines, the game separates the 2 paths on the stairs. So it seems to me to be more about aesthetic and scale to the real world than actual effective planning to have 2 across paths. The way to get around this is to not have the multi-tile pathways actually connect, but to have each path separated from parallel pathways with wall pieces while designing the park and then removing the walls once the park is open. This works especially well with custom designed pathways that take up a whole tile, so that when you remove the walls there is no visual separation between the separate pathways. Another way that I make it appear to be a large plaza or wider pathway is to use one of the full tile gray pathways and the other "paths" are actually a gray flat roof scenery piece. Just remember that when a park starts to get busy, peeps on single tile pathways will constantly complain about how crowded the park is. That's where the "make all guests happy" feature on 8cars comes in really handy.

Not to be too nitpicky, but wasn't Cedar Point's Corkscrew designed concurrent with Revolution but opened later in the year because of Sandusky, Ohio's climate and CP's later opening date? So I would give the first vertical loop a tie between Schwarzkopf/Intamin and Arrow. No Fred Church fans? I'd have a monument just to him besides a Rushmore style multi-face memorial to influential coaster designers.

I just got a new computer with Windows8, so I can answer your question. I have to run rct2 in compatibility mode for XP on my new computer. Before I set compatibility mode for an older version of Windows the graphics would wave across the screen. I didn't have the crashes and freezes that you're having, but I hope you can go into your settings - maybe someone else could give you the specifics - and play the game in compatibility with a former version of Windows.

^Ride-Ops are supposed to be trained to check for lifts or platform shoes that artificially raise a child to above the ride minimum height. ^^^There was an incident at Six Flags St. Louis with a very skinny boy who exceeded the height minimum but his small size allowed him to slip through the shoulder harness and fall out of Batman. The ride manufacturers use "typical" body dimensions for their height minimums in their consideration of what is safe for a particular ride, and this boy was thin enough that the safety restraints did not keep him in the seat.

When Timber Wolf was new everyone I know who rode it loved it. I loved it. It was an awesome ride. Maybe it's just you. And that's okay if you didn't like it, but most of us did.
