The first ones I've ever gone on were little ones at the Del Mar Fair back in California. But the first one at a theme park would have either been Woodstock Express or Taxi Jam (both a CGA) but I would have been too young to remember any of it.

17 now and used to live in Anaheim. My mom worked for Disneyland and KBF so as far as I can remember I was probably 2 or 3 when I took my first ride on Timberline Twister at KBF .

I am 23 & for one pretty amazed that the majority of members on here are 12-15yrs old. Jeezus. haha

My first roller coaster was the LITTLE DIPPER when I was very young prob around 5-7 at its original home, kiddieland - Melrose Park, IL. I am very thankful that SFGAm has it now so I can enjoy my first coaster (practically) anytime I want. I love my park with an extreme passion & I gained another world of respect with the decision they made to bring in LD!!

No option under 12?

I was 2 when I rode my first coaster, Barnstormer at Magic Kingdom. Scared the absolute shizz out of me. Didn't ride another coaster till I was 6 on a trip to Australia, went on the wooden wild mouse at Aussie World. Bad idea. That thing put me off coasters till I was 10 when I rode Spingear at Sega Republic in Dubai, when I finally got over my fear.

So you could call Spingear my first coaster that didnt leave me scarred for years.

I am now 12 years old. I fully got into coasters when I moved to Australia a year ago, which sucks as now that I'm here I only have limited coasters to ride, while when I was younger I travelled to New Jersey, Florida, LA, Toronto and many other places with awesome coasters, but I wasnt interested back then.

Luckily this year I'll be travelling to UK and maybe Florida and I'm planning to ride as many coasters as possible.

I'm sure that there was a kids' metal coaster available to me,

at my local annual fair (the PNE) when it came by, every year.

But I would like to think - the first honest roller coaster

I ever rode, enjoyed and wanted to ride again?

The Matterhorn at Disneyland - I was ten - it was Easter, 1963.

Not to mention the rest of the New TomorrowLand,

(Monorail & Submarine) having only opened

a few years earlier, in 1959.

Not only that - but it was me and my mom riding together.

Both of us, not really understanding it was a true coaster

we were riding on.

No. To us, we were riding on A Disney Adventure.

My first "big" coaster was Silver Comet at Martin's Fantasy Island summer of 2000 or 2001. I was 8 or 9. Unfortunately the photos don't have a date stamp.

Edit: I'm 20 at the time of this posting.

My first coaster was technically Tiny Toot when I was 4 (2002), but I don't count powered coasters now, so I consider mine Timber Terror when I was 8 (2006)

My first looping was Corkscrew at the same park.

I must have been about 3 or 4 when I took my first spin on the Serpent at Astrowolrd with my mom! That little dip under the bridge after the first turnaround after the lift used to get my stomach every time and I'd grit my teeth! Momma got me hooked on coasters and she still rides with me today!

My first "big" coaster was The Flying Princess (Now called Kingdom Coaster) at Dutch Wonderland. My first steel coaster was Steel Force, and my first inversion was on Laser, both coasters being at Dorney Park.
