Weekdays at Knott's during October are dead due to schools being in session, in addition to Knott's Scary Farm being around. However, be advised as the park will close earlier in the day in prep for haunt if you go Wednesday-Friday, but you shouldn't have a problem riding everything you want multiple times.

Great shots Hanno, always a huge fan of your photos . I miss Liseberg and Pontus, such a great day of the tour. -
The last few times I went, I didn't see Silver on the track at all. Why would that be? Was it in the shop all that time since JUNE 2013?! Kinda hard to believe... Oh well, glad ol' SIlvey's back. Silver has been in rotation since September 2013, must've been one train days when you went. Also Silver Bullet is back up to two trains now.

Thanks for your reply! On average, what are the wait times for the rides on a weekday? Are they ever over 60 mins? And how busy was it yesterday? According to the Knott's Website, Fastlane is available for presale on 21st, which means the park is expecting around 7,000 people minimum. However, 7k is still a very light crowd so I'd follow the advice of waiting until the day visiting to consider buying fastlane. As far as crowds go, yesterday our line at Ghostrider averaged around 20 minutes all day, and the budget was 11,000. This is pretty low because Ghost is one of the most popular rides in the park, and today our budget was only 5k. For the 21st, I don't think your crowds will be too bad, probably a 30-45 minute wait at the most for the more popular attractions in the park. I don't know if I'll be working that day, but if you get a chance, come stop by and say hi to me at Log Ride and i'll hook you guys up with a backdoor if I can. Wow thanks! You're awesome!! Since our dates are flexible (we get that whole week off) would it be better to visit on Tuesday or Wednesday, since its farther from the weekend and might have less people? Tuesdays seem to be the least crowded weekday, but it's only a minuscule difference. Just go whichever weekday works best for your party.

Glad you had a good day! Hopefully monte will go back up soon. Just found out last week I'm getting transferred to Log ride next weekend, can't wait . You know what your schedule will be for Sunday? This sunday ill be at ghost from 945-615. It'll be my last day there as my primary ride as I'll be training at Log Ride the next weekend.

We only sell fast lane wristbands if the park is budgeted over a certain number (I believe it's around 7 or 8 thousand). If we don't hit that budget, we won't sell fast lane because it would be a waste of peoples money. Because of that, the days you are trying to buy fast lane for probably aren't budgeted high enough, and therefore they won't sell them online to avoid people wasting their money. However, if the budget changes to be high enough, they will be sold at the park on the day of operation. "Budget" is how many people the park is expecting to visit that day.

I was there last Thursday and it was running one train then also. I'll most likely be there this Thursday. But for some reason riptide has not be open the last 3 times I've been there. Riptide has been down for a while now, they were doing some refurbishment work on it and as far as I know they are awaiting approval from the state to reopen soon. I don't work again until Friday, but hopefully Ghost will be back to two trains this week. If the state has to approve their work, they are doing more than just a rehab. Something had to have been modified or someone was seriously injured if the state is involved. Yeah not sure exactly what it is since I don't work that area, it was just reported to me by a lead. I'll find out more if I can.

I typically Work Friday-Sunday at GhostRider, but hours vary.

Out of curiosity for those that have done this before...can Jaguar! actually start causing motion sickness after a period of time? I liken riding Jaguar! to sitting shotgun in a car. I guess what I'm asking is...how can the entire train NOT come in first on this? EDIT: Just realized that the prizes are for fundraising...oops! No motion sickness whatsoever after staying on the full time 3 years in a row. I'm not very sensitive to motion sickness, but it gets really uncomfortable because the seats have no padding.

I participated in the Knott's event the past three years and it was a fun event for a great cause. I work there now so I won't be able to participate this year, but hopefully if I get trained to Jaguar or Coast Rider I'll be able to operate for it. It's nice to see them expanding to Coast Rider in addition to Jaguar this year at Knott's.

Most ludicrous height restrictions

I have a faint memory of it being 46" back in the day when I was a young kid and my mother worked at Knott's. Did it change when cedar fair took over or am I just imagining things? Regardless, 48" is ridiculous. -
Do you get to test GhostRider or does some other crew do that? Maintenance does most of the testing before we do anything. Basically, once they're done testing everything they sign off a sheet for us and then we basically do the double check testing. We check the seatbelts and lapbars on each train, send each train for a test cycle, and then send a test rider on each train. I'll usually volunteer to test ride if we need one.
