It's a mix bag really, It'll go from stuff like to . Ironically, they actually played Mariachi music during haunt before the DJ got there which was funny because it actually fit the area. But yeah in general it's pretty outdated stuff/not popular nowadays. LOL the music they play there is kind of cheesy but I guess it's more up beat than mariachi. I remember last summer they were playing One Direction Yeah every once in a while a pop song will come on, but it's usually the former as I mentioned. Luckily I work mostly at Ghostrider now so I just listen to The Good the Bad and The Ugly Themes and folk variations of classic rock songs .

Indeed! Some of my favorite memories as a young kid when my mother worked at Knott's was playing on the bridges and in the play house. That and Kingdom of the Dinosaurs of course .

The Calico Mineride is going down the first of the year without any reason stated why, so I would suspect that would be a huge flag along with the rumors. Of course it's not 100% until they announce it, but it seems highly likely at this point.

I agree, even the employee bathrooms can be pretty bad sometimes. I'm not in park services so I can't really control this, but hopefully it'll get the appropriate attention soon.

Definitely Cedar Fair. While I'm not a hater of Six Flags, I think growing up at Knott's really made Cedar Fair have a home like welcoming effect on me, and it shows everytime I go to Knott's. Even now that I work there, the feeling of a family and community in the park has only improved and it's something that just makes me feel that much more welcome.

I'll look into the Monte brake rumor this weekend cause I'll be in fiesta, but from watching it run yesterday from a distance it seemed to be going just as high on the back spine.

Yeah thats about right, I was guest greeter a few times and it was holding steady at about an hour and 45 minutes the whole night. It's always funny to see peoples reactions when they ask how long the line is.

Haha yeah the Silver Train just got out of rehab so brand new seatbelts/restraints. Can be quite annoying though because they get stuck much easier. I'll be starting at 6 so if you see me feel free to say hi .

Glad you had a good night! Sorry about ERT being cut short, I was at guest greet when i came in at 6, but usually it takes a few extra minutes to get the second train on because they only run one during the day. We have to get maintenance to do it for us, then we have to do our opening tests with test rider and such as well so it takes a few minutes.

Silver Train is now in rotation, which is good and bad. Good news is the ride is running great and it's actually pretty re ride able right now. Bad news is the new lap bars and restraints still need to be broken in so they get stuck a lot which is annoying as an operator haha. Also, the MCBR is back to full stop so I guess that experiment on Tuesday was a bust . Also, Monte is back up.

Haha, good news is we just got Silver Train back from the rehab shop so it'll be switched out with Copper that desperately needs it. So Silver and Gold will be running and Gold has been running well.

On Tuesday at work, we were running Ghost Rider with the MCBR on half power, so you would coast through it at decent speed instead of coming to a complete stop. Rode front seat and the ride is actually running quite well. However, we had problems later in the day with one of the proxy switches and went down the rest of the day. Not sure if the faster speed in the second half had anything to do with it, but hopefully they decide to keep the block set as is because it made the second half a lot more enjoyable. I work again tomorrow so I'll update on the current situation when I get back.

Yeah it gets gorier and gorier every year haha. My close friend is actually the time card coordinator for that maze so she takes me through it all the time when I have a chance. It's definitely run it's course though and this is it's last year. I also think Delerium and Endgames will be leaving as well, but I only know slaughter is confirmed so far.

Latest reports from supervisor indicate that Montezooma's Is supposed to go back up next weekend. They have the new cable and they have the train winched out onto the back half of the track.

If you show up at opening so like from 7-11, you shouldn't have a problem getting 10 mazes done. I went on a Friday and showed up at opening and was pretty much done with everything by around that time and had the extra time to see the shows and such. Our budget for tonight was around 12k so not too bad.

Just so people going to Haunt have an idea between the crowd differences on Saturday and Sunday, last weekend our projected attendance for Saturday was 27K, the second most crowded day I've worked besides 4th of July. Sunday on the other hand only had a projected attendance of around 12k so much more manageable. If you can, choose to go Sunday or Thursday, especially with the peak weeks coming up.
