Invertalon Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 Son Of Beast when sitting over in an axel seat opening year. Funny thing is, the two rides prior were in the middle of whatever car we sat in and the ride was glass smooth. Crazy how much difference there was...
Heth Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 I've been on 4 wooden coasters ever, and the worst of those was Gwazi by absolutely miles (the other 3 were the 2 Joris en de Draak coasters at Efteling and Wodan at Europa Park).
corn4ahead Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 Timberwolf at Worlds of Fun and I also agree about SoB over axle seat, or any seat that wasn't the very front really.
coasterbill Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 Roar at SFA is complete crap. Honorable mention goes to Son of Beast, Gwazi, Hercules and the Coney Island Cyclone.
biker7766 Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 Wildcat at Hershey or Rolling Thunder in the year 2008.
Rollercoaster Rider Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 Blue Streak at Conneaut Lake Park Mean Streak at Cedar Point
diggerg56 Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 Agreed on sitting over an axle on Son of Beast. Man that was brutal.Definitely the worst I can remember. It took three chiropractor visits to get back into shape after the last ride I took on that one before it was demo'd. I've had some really bad rides on The Boss at SFStL and also on Mean Streak at Cedar Point.
coaster-mm Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 Despite the fact that I've ridden Bandit( moviepark germany) and Gwazi (BGT), the worst wooden coaster ever.......Mean Streak@cedar point last May. It was bad........really bad. Paul
bert425 Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 for YEARS was Ghostrider at Knott's then we rode Wildcat at HersheyPark. (shiver) my back just screamed even typing the name. ..
jonskinny12 Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 Does Villain at the old Geauga Lake count? Steel supports with wooden tracks, but it was really bad.
gerstlaueringvar Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 I don't even want to type Hades360 because my spine hurts whenever I see that word, but I think I have to.
RCjunkie Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 For me it is Mean Streak at CP followed closely by Hades360 at Mount Olympus. I have never been on Gwazi so I have that to look forward too.
JJLehto Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 For me Villian at Geauga Lake. I like a rough ride honestly, so it really says something when I say: that one was too much. Honest feelings of "I'm going to die" were had
lbeeler Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 (edited) Thunder Run KK before RMC remodel. and T2, SOB Edited August 2, 2014 by lbeeler
Woodie Warrior Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 I got to ride both Hades 360 and Avalanche/HellCat a week ago. Hades 360? Did not understand the hate at all. Amazing layout, awesome tunnels, and while I wouldn't call it a smooth ride, I definitely wouldn't call it a rough one. Avalanche however, was the roughest coaster I've ever ridden. It's the first ride I've ever been on where I've actually wanted it to end quicker.
tororific Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 Gwazi is just about unrideable nowadays. I understand a smaller park not being able to keep up with the track, but Busch Gardens should be ashamed to let passengers ride on that.
booink Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 All the woodies at Canada's Wonderland are terrible and very rough Wild Beast is the worst, closely followed by the Minebuster.
