bert425 Posted March 28, 2014 Posted March 28, 2014 How do they do the morning test run if the coaster only moves if you are screaming? They just put this little guy in the coaster each morning and let er rip! [youtu_be] [/youtu_be]
gerstlaueringvar Posted March 28, 2014 Posted March 28, 2014 Looks like a lot of fun! The concept is really nice. I didn't find there is visible speed difference on each launch though.
Guy T. Koepp Posted March 28, 2014 Posted March 28, 2014 That was just odd. Weird, awesome and odd. I love it!
attack7 Posted March 28, 2014 Posted March 28, 2014 So I'm at home today and on Vicodin because of a root canal. I'm sure that I will think that this was just a weird narcotic-induced hallucination. But it looked like a lot of fun
urzishra Posted March 28, 2014 Posted March 28, 2014 That's a funky ride. Looks super fun. I think screaming element should be added to more rides.
Whodey Posted March 28, 2014 Posted March 28, 2014 Does it actually wait for a scream? What if you don't scream? Or is this just a gimmick to get you to scream? Either way it seems like fun, except the many times you said ouch on the brakes.
frozenflames Posted March 28, 2014 Posted March 28, 2014 This has got to be the most bizarre coaster I have ever seen. It's an interesting concept. I never thought that combining lifts with tries and launches would actually work together, but clearly it does. I think that the multiple stops might make it hard to enjoy, though. I'm not personally a fan of when coasters constantly lose momentum.
jokey Posted March 28, 2014 Posted March 28, 2014 that is a STUPID AWESOME idea! It IS stupid but it is really cool!! I think that this is something that would work well at other parks just to make rides more immersive and interactive.
glouthan Posted March 28, 2014 Posted March 28, 2014 Never knew such a thing existed...what an interesting concept.
IronWolfman Posted March 28, 2014 Posted March 28, 2014 I like the idea! Maybe SFMM will put the concept on YOLOcoaster.
Her0ofLime Posted March 28, 2014 Posted March 28, 2014 I wonder who's going to be that one jerk who doesn't scream and shuts down the whole coaster
bert425 Posted March 28, 2014 Posted March 28, 2014 that is a STUPID AWESOME idea! It IS stupid but it is really cool!! I think that this is something that would work well at other parks just to make rides more immersive and interactive. "Stupid Awesome" is a compliment so yeah, I liked it a lot!
rcjp Posted March 28, 2014 Posted March 28, 2014 I just can't get enough of hearing those people screaming before the launch! What a bizarre idea! The ride itself also looked very weird.
Nrthwnd Posted March 28, 2014 Posted March 28, 2014 Scream-driven or not... This - thing - goes - on - for - e - ver. But hey - it's a Japanese Coaster!
Yamez Posted March 29, 2014 Posted March 29, 2014 Interactive coasters? I could dig that. I would love for the US parks to start thinking outside the box for their newer attractions!
Coaster19 Posted March 29, 2014 Posted March 29, 2014 That is one of the coolest family coasters I have ever seen! I love the idea of the screaming! It is true that you have to scream?
SingleRiderCam Posted March 29, 2014 Posted March 29, 2014 That is one of the coolest family coasters I have ever seen! I love the idea of the screaming! It is true that you have to scream? As I saw in one of Robb's YouTube comments, you don't have to scream. Instead, you can just not scream and just slowly launch.
Nrthwnd Posted March 29, 2014 Posted March 29, 2014 I think I could still give it my all for a really good launch, lol.
The Yeti Posted March 29, 2014 Posted March 29, 2014 That backwards Togo coaster looked awesome, I must say. It had some pretty sweet looking drops. The family coaster doesn't look bad either. I would actually love to see a higher quality, well-themed version!
Woodie Warrior Posted March 29, 2014 Posted March 29, 2014 Possibly one of the most unique and coolest coasters I've seen. However, it seems to slow down rapidly right after the launch. But it is a family coaster, so it is still pretty awesome.
TroyWD98 Posted March 29, 2014 Posted March 29, 2014 That was such a strange, awesome coaster. "Only in Japan"! haha
Woodie Warrior Posted March 29, 2014 Posted March 29, 2014 I'm hopeing that's not a togo..... RCDB says it was manufactured by Hoei Sangyo Co. Is it really a brand-new coaster? Did you guys plan your trip around its opening on purpose?
Caliboy718 Posted March 29, 2014 Posted March 29, 2014 I see "Monster's Inc. Roller Coaster" written all over this.
jimmiemac02 Posted March 29, 2014 Posted March 29, 2014 This is really the coaster for the lift hill enthusiasts...
