Sexy No Jutsu Posted November 30, 2006 Posted November 30, 2006 The art is not terrible. It's a thousand times better than what I can do, but I will agree that it could be better. And no SB? They're probably removing that too!
CP_RULES Posted November 30, 2006 Posted November 30, 2006 Also, I would like to note the crappiness of the concept art and I have to wonder who the heck hired that guy? Concept ART is not always all about the accuracy ya' know.
DerekRx Posted November 30, 2006 Posted November 30, 2006 I dig the name, much better than another Woodstock's Express. This things "late" opening at least has solidified my plans to skip Solace next year in exchange for finally coming out in October and doing Haunt.
kraxleRIDAH Posted November 30, 2006 Posted November 30, 2006 Also, I would like to note the crappiness of the concept art and I have to wonder who the heck hired that guy? Concept ART is not always all about the accuracy ya' know. In addition, it's just a simple artist rendition. Gnome, FYI, artist renditions of rides are not meant for an accurate detailed depiction of the ride. It's there to serve as a simple visual as to what it will look like in its surroundings or in other cases, highlight the focus-point of the ride, such as in Scream!'s 2002 artist depiction.
Gnome Posted November 30, 2006 Posted November 30, 2006 Also, I would like to note the crappiness of the concept art and I have to wonder who the heck hired that guy? Concept ART is not always all about the accuracy ya' know. Disney always seems to do a good job on thiers, and I wasn't thinking accuracy, I was thinking about the general shaping of objects.
Wes Posted November 30, 2006 Posted November 30, 2006 A distinct lack of trees in that concept art. Hopefully it's more woodsey and not another concrete slab (yeah right)
CP_RULES Posted November 30, 2006 Posted November 30, 2006 ^^Once again, art doesnt have to have "good shaping," that's why its art. OMG, what kind of idiot could have drwan that ill proportionate woman?
vjgx Posted November 30, 2006 Posted November 30, 2006 Hmm... looks pretty good for a family coaster... The concept art makes it look like a bigger, spinning Gadget's Go Coaster to me... Oh well, another credit!
kraxleRIDAH Posted November 30, 2006 Posted November 30, 2006 Anybody else want to chime in with what's missing in the artist rendition of the new coaster? People...GET OVER IT.
DallasAlvey Posted November 30, 2006 Posted November 30, 2006 Where's Jaguar? There trying to pretend it's 1993. And Xelerater is missing too.
eric1334 Posted November 30, 2006 Posted November 30, 2006 Anybody else want to chime in with what's missing in the artist rendition of the new coaster? People...GET OVER IT. Xcelerator. Damn Dallas beat me to it.
the ghost Posted November 30, 2006 Posted November 30, 2006 Scheduled to open in Camp Snoopy, Sierra Sidewinder Sorry guys but I think we are dealing with a kiddy coaster. I live in So Cal and know that camp snoopy is the kiddy area of the park
Wes Posted November 30, 2006 Posted November 30, 2006 Scheduled to open in Camp Snoopy, Sierra Sidewinder Sorry guys but I think we are dealing with a kiddy coaster. I live in So Cal and know that camp snoopy is the kiddy area of the park Welcome to this thread. Try reading the other pages.
Primogen18 Posted November 30, 2006 Posted November 30, 2006 kiddy coaster lmao, its 62 feet tall -Allan "867-5309" Bray
waterviper Posted November 30, 2006 Posted November 30, 2006 Sorry guys but I think we are dealing with a kiddy coaster. Try viewing page 6 and you will see how much kiddy coaster this is not! Also about the concept picture and missing things, who gives a crap!! It is just a concept painting! Which I might add is to show how the new coaster may look like. Not to get accurate and fill in every detail of the surounding area.
Primogen18 Posted November 30, 2006 Posted November 30, 2006 exactly /\ Its just there to make it look purdy, the layout is what counts for accuracy. -Allan "867-5309" Bray
Sexy No Jutsu Posted November 30, 2006 Posted November 30, 2006 Who says kiddie coasters are not fun? Considering the specs of this ride, I'm going to compare it to a coaster at Disneyland. Space Mountain? Matterhorn? C'mon, Matterhorn is 26 MPH and Space Mountain is 35 MPH and they still pack a punch(or atleast an exciting ride). This ride is about the speed of Space Mountain. If the themeing is done well, and the track layout proves to be promising(which seems to be good), we can get an exciting ride! I'm still thrilled for this to come out.

SharkTums Posted November 30, 2006 Posted November 30, 2006 I would classify this as a 'Family Coaster'.
the ghost Posted November 30, 2006 Posted November 30, 2006 Thats wierd because right now the biggest coaster in camp snoopy is 15ft tall
DallasAlvey Posted November 30, 2006 Posted November 30, 2006 ^ Dude why can't you just except that there actuley going to build somthing good in Camp Snoopy. By the way don't go ripping on Timberline Twister that's like the best kiddie coaster EVER.
Sir Clinksalot Posted December 1, 2006 Posted December 1, 2006 I would classify this as a 'Family Coaster'. Ditto. Anybody have the stats on Jaguar??? Does it go faster or slower than 37mph??? Could be an early indicator of a height requirement. Question ... IF Jaguar is slower, can they possibly put this LESS than 48" and leave Jaguar where it is??? Or ... can we possibly see a change in Jaguar's height requirement. Oh wait ... it's Knott's. EDIT: According to Ultimate Roller Coaster Jaguars Stats are: Height: 65 feet Drop: 45 feet Angle of descent: 25 degrees Top speed: 35 mph Length: 2,602 feet Ride time: 2 minutes, 20 seconds Trains: 2 - 30 passenger Of course, it's really only 1 train empty, one train full.
socalMAN123 Posted December 1, 2006 Posted December 1, 2006 If this is a kiddie coaster, my name is Borat. LOL Honestly, this will probably be more like Jagaur than anything else. I'm really looking forward to this. ---Brent
