Batman: The Ride, SFGAdv

No, if any "Batman: The Ride" clone should happen to be the first defunct B&M coaster, it would be the original one at Six Flags Great America. There was a "Batman: The Ride" at Six Flags New Orleans that almost became the first defunct B&M coaster until it was moved to Six Flags Fiesta Texas as "Goliath"!

Mine would have to be Kumba at BGT, considered one of if not the best old school B&M's. I remember riding it in 1996 and this thing blew my mind. A few months later I got my first trip to Cedar Point and was introduced to Raptor my first invert. The rest as they say is history.

Batman the Ride at Great Adventure in 2002. I was 10 years old and scared Shitless.

I second this. Batman was my first B&M. I didn't know it was B&M at the time, all I knew is that I thought I was going to die as it was my first invert coaster!

The Incredible Hulk... I was 8 so I rode it back in 2006. I ended up riding Dragon Challenge later in the day, but the Hulk was my first B&M. It also happens to be my least favorite, but that's due to an incident that happened in 2011

Tell us everything.

Because I am too nosy to stand for vaugeness.

It was the Ice side of Dueling Dragons at Island of Adventure back in 2000. I was 9 years old and have a slight memory that we started with Ice after a ride-op saw that and I was really nervous and recommended it as it wasn't as intense. Can't really remember if that was the case but still a nice gesture!

  • 3 months later...

Montu at BGT, followed later in the day by Kumba. For some reason I was far more terrified of Kumba than Montu, which I saw as the less notable little brother. That's how big of an impression being around Kumba was before I was old enough to ride coasters like that (I attended the park shortly after it opened, which was a HUGE deal).
