When I went on Wed, May 3rd, had a great time, went on Lightning Rod, my very first RMC, loved it, holy shit it was nuts lol. Went on FireChaser Express for the first time, can see what makes this a family coaster, good starting coaster for the little ones, pretty fun imo. 3rd trip to Dollywood, always enjoy it here, good food, really nice people, wait times overall weren't too long and the weather was nice, couldn't really ask for much more. Also got to ride on Drop Line on one of its last Technical Rehearsal days, just happened to stop at the pizza place across from it to eat and as we got finished, noticed they were letting people on so I decided to give it a whirl. Not as tall as Drop Zone at KI but I thought it was the perfect height, not so tall that it becomes really intimidating and I got an absolutely gorgeous view of the park and the mountains, loved it ! -

Cedar Point, only because I went to WDW and USO/IOA in 2010 for my honeymoon and I haven't been to CP since 1999. -

I rode Invertigo during the TPR KI Banshee Bash about 4 pm or so I think, must have gotten it up and running later in the day or something. First time riding it since 2012 I believe, not a big fan of it either, once a year or every other year is definitely fine with me lol. -
So what were the best new coasters of 2014?
PrismTx replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Banshee hands down !! Rode it 101 times, first time I have ever ridden a coaster that many times during a season. Non-stop action from start to finish and I've been waiting 15 years for Kings Island to finally get a Full Invert so for me, it doesn't get any better than this. Also imo, she is as fun to look at as she is to ride, truly a modern work of art. -

^ Its the old Action FX Theater, used to have some really great short films in there, Days Of Thunder and James Bond 007: License to Thrill, man those were the best, then they had some Sponge Bob film in there in 2007 and then they used it in conjunction with the Dinosaurs Alive thing and now it doesn't appear to have done anything this year, I really hope they revamp it and do something good with it. -

They're called Chinese Donuts. Fried dough is fried dough, all the same thing really, just fry it up and put something on it lol -

Those basically remind me of those little fried balls of dough or biscuits that you find in many asian buffets, deep fried and coated in sugar I believe. -

Vortex is not that bad, it is most certainly nowhere as bad as SoB was in its last years, that thing was a chiropractor's wet dream. And I too feel that it is an iconic attraction of Kings Island and it is not going anywhere for a long time, needs some TLC maybe but thats about it imo. -

Walt Disney World - Went there in 2010 for my honeymoon and inside the China area of Epcot, there was a restaurant that has the best orange chicken I have ever had in my life. -

Banshee - Been waiting 15 years for KI to get a full Invert and could not be more pleased, shes awesome, non stop action from start to finish, little bit of a rattle in some places but shes still new, give her time to settle in, best set in my opinion is middle of the front row, smooth as butter. She is as much fun to look at as she is to ride as well, truly a modern work of art. Diamondback - The only Hyper I have personally ever been on but still awesome, one of the best rides in the park, imo, the only ride in the park that I love to put my hands and arms fully up on from start to finish, best seat, imo is any seat that is on the outside pairs of seats, feel so free and alot of good air too. The Beast - Always gotta ride it at least once, a good Woodie, a pretty impressive one also considering when it was designed and built as well, always prefer the non wheel seats usually towards the back. The Bat - Pretty good for a Suspended coaster, packs a nice little punch from the drop to the end, wish it was a bit longer though. Vortex - The coaster that made me into the enthusiast that I am today, best seat is definitely 5-1, keep your head out and centered as much as you can, usually helps a bit. Flight Of Fear - Good ride, definitely needs some TLC in the off season, hasn't been a good year for this guy unfortunately, bit smoother towards the front or in the front, the closer you get to the back, the closer you become to becoming a human pinball. Backlot Stunt Coaster - Fairly good ride, usually try to ride this every time I go, a bit better now that the fire effects are working too. -
What was your first B&M Coaster?

1999, went to Cedar Point for the first time and rode Raptor, definitely a good coaster to spark my interest in Inverts. -

Yeah, had my senior prom inside of Moonlite Gardens, fairly nice, could have been just a bit bigger though, that was in 2000, not really sure what else they use that building for if they still use it anymore.
