Belgiumcoasterfreak Posted April 30, 2015 Posted April 30, 2015 New 'making of' movie (with english subs): That Machineroom... Wow.
Sven Posted April 30, 2015 Posted April 30, 2015 This wil be beautiful with these working engines source: Twitter @Rob__Schulte source: Twitter @Sjiebert
RCT3Bross Posted April 30, 2015 Posted April 30, 2015 Didn't realize the bell was already hanging. But I have to say this theming lookls so good I'm completly out of words. Really like it when a park puts so much efford in theming instad of slaming some corrugated sheets on a iron frame and a cheap looking logo on that. Anyway looks good.
scbt Posted April 30, 2015 Posted April 30, 2015 Wow, It looks like you're going to be able to get up pretty close to the ride based on the pictures on the last page. That should provide for some interesting photo ops.

BDG Posted May 4, 2015 Posted May 4, 2015 Why not post the actual photo? I don't need to know how much battery you have left on your phone. And from the park's Twitter: photos: Efteling
RCT3Bross Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 I like it's the same shade of the track and that the restrains are a lighter green and the standard black seatings. Compliments each other well. I just hope they stay away form sticker village and adds the Barons logo (Shovel and pickaxe) in a bronze circle like the Efteling e on the Python trains, that would fit great with the coasters theme.
Max.schollen Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 There is a train spotted in the station [youtu_be] [/youtu_be]Source Themepark.nl
Heth Posted May 8, 2015 Posted May 8, 2015 Baron 1898 has been spotted testing after park closing: Source Stefan Schulte on Twitter. EDIT: I have found a copy on Youtube as well.. Source: Loopings.nl (Youtube)
Dar Posted May 8, 2015 Posted May 8, 2015 Looks like it really flies through that first immelmann! Can't wait for a full POV!
coasterfreak101 Posted May 8, 2015 Posted May 8, 2015 Is there no holding brake on this one? I think I missed that part. If not, that should make for a great first drop in the back row!
Paradox Posted May 8, 2015 Posted May 8, 2015 ^No there is. If you looked at Oblivion's first test runs earlier this year it first tested without a holding brake.
RCT3Bross Posted May 9, 2015 Posted May 9, 2015 I always have something to do when the best parts happen. Anyway good to see them testing really look forward to it and that Immelmann looks to be a good experience, this one might not be your standard roll out dive coaster but we will see can't judge what you didn't ride.
Coaster Hero Posted May 9, 2015 Posted May 9, 2015 I like how the wheel thing at the top of the lift actually spins. It's nice attention to detail.
RCT3Bross Posted May 9, 2015 Posted May 9, 2015 considering the first test phase the ride is slower then the actual ride, this one has some serious speed. Didn't expect that.
KingRCT3 Posted May 9, 2015 Posted May 9, 2015 Nope, actually here it's likely to be the opposite. Dive machine do their first test run without the stop at the top. Once it will be activated, it will be atad slower. A tad, tough, not that much, but it's unlikely to be faster then.

If my memory was right I remember watching Oblivion tbh test video had it really crawling through that heartline at the end but in later videos made a easy roll through it. But I have to rewatch the videos to make sure.
KingRCT3 Posted May 9, 2015 Posted May 9, 2015 Ha, I actually haven't watched any testing video of Oblivion because I wanted to keep the surprise forwhen I rode it. Anyways, the speed on Oblivion is, like on any B&M, perfect (read: not intense, though). So I'm not worried for Baron.
BDG Posted May 9, 2015 Posted May 9, 2015 Excellent footage from every possible angle: That helix looks amazing.
Nrthwnd Posted May 9, 2015 Posted May 9, 2015 Man, talk about antici............................pation, after that lift hill LOL! Great test run video!
BDG Posted May 10, 2015 Posted May 10, 2015 Two quick clips from the test runs this morning: Now in delicious 1080p60:
