Gerstlauer1
This coaster is just beautiful! And why don't gerstlauer make a car with 3 rows and 4 seats across?! Just one more row on the Eurofighter 1.0 trains !
A.J.
I wonder why Gerstlauer have changed the profile for the lift/first drop? Especially when you compare the Lift tower to the UK Eurofighters, Maybe they are trying to sort out the "Jolt" that sometimes happens at the bottom of the first drops (although in all fairness I have only ever experienced this on Saw, others have mentioned it can happen on Speed sometimes) It's the trains. If a Eurofighter such as Speed had the three row trains, the quick drop-off over the narrow crest would have unbearable forces for riders in the very back. It's the same reason why Fahrenheit has an even wider crest than the three-row Eurofighters - itself having six rows of seats to keep the forces in check for. Ahh, thanks for clearing that up, didn't realise that DDD was going to have longer trains than usual......(will teach me to pay attention to the whole thread and not just the odd page here and there!) SharkTums
I just really hope this new Eurofighter runs better than the other 'new style' one at Belantis.
MayTheGForceBeWithYou
^Ooh, yeah, almost forgot about that one. The new cars made it really rough, right?
coasterfreak101
Is there a particular reason that Gerstlauer ditched the two-row, eight-seat cars for the three-row, six-seat cars? Sure, the views might be better, but doesn't it seem weird to go backwards in capacity and (apparently) smoothness?
Skycoastin Steve
^I highly doubt they planned the new cars to be rougher than the old ones. As far as capacity is concerned, who knows?
Ace Of Spades
Well, this one is supposed to have lapbars, so that should help a little bit...one would hope.
Ace Of Spades
Well, this one is supposed to have lapbars, so that should help a little bit...one would hope. True, but the style of lap bar still doesn't effect how the vehicle tracks the...track. Of course you might not hit your head but the ride can be still be rough (sorta like Rockit). Well...yeah, I was mostly referring to the fact that at least headbanging could be kept to a minimum. But lord knows that depending on the headrest type, it could turn a simply poorly-tracking ride into a nightmare. Still, really looking forward to how this turns out! dragonskeep
DDD looks really cool. I atually just got around to watching the POV in case I can attend DSB. I't been a while since I have been to the park so I have never ridden Goliath either.
Jerrykoala2112
I really like the way the ride looks! Especially the main lift-drop tower, the supports are pretty eye catching. The area the ride is in looks a lot better now that a bright colored ride is placed there. Hopefully, the screams on the ride will liven up the area. I do agree that a euro-fighter with a 2 hour line might not be worth it, but if you're only at SFOG for one day of the year, one would probably wait through the line... (Or see if DDD is on the Flash Pass system!) If I'm hearing some good reviews for the ride, I should consider coming down for Deep South Bash! Especially to pick up the missed credits from my horrible 2009 visit!

I remember Elissa saying something about them from last year's Euro Tour. Do they vibrate too much?
coasterbear30
^^From what I heard, the trains are already on site and are back behind the amphitheatre. I have not seen them as of yet though. Was there yesterday and it is looking really awesome. All the track work is done, the tunnel was closed in, some of the theming is up and a lot of the station house is done already. It shouldn't be too much longer before they start testing.
SharkTums
^Constant vibration and bad shuffling. Again, hopefully this was a unique to Belantis problem. Also, with a lap bar only it won't matter quite as much.

Right now, construction is focusing on the station and transfer area as well as electrical work.

Just imagine Anubis with those... OOPS I JUST DOO DAA'D MY PANTS AGAIN... Okay... out of curiosity, did you make a double-post here on purpose to express your feelings? It would be a lot better to just edit your first post. Anyway, here's what I think of these brand-new trains: It should look even better when all the theming is put on the train, and hopefully, it will produce some excellent airtime along with the inversions. Hopefully the ride runs well. Along with Untamed, america should have 2 excellent Eurofights for guests to coo and go crazy over!
