  1. ^ Unless it is absolutely pouring down everything stays open
  2. Disneyland Paris seems to be wasting no time during the closure of the resort, they seem to be fixing everything - New themed umbrellas for restaurants - Snow White ride is being fully repainted - Technical updates for a more comfortable ride on Indiana Jones (whatever that means) - Work on It's a small world's fountain Repaving of the entrance plaza for Walt Disney Studios is almost complete Buzz Lightyears's refurb is almost done, the facade have received a new design at the entrance (Seems to be more fitting with Discoveryland's theme than the old design) As soon as they are done with Buzz they will start a complete refurb of Orbitron, and after this Space Mountain is rumored to be getting a new theme and refurb - Sequoia Lodge is getting it's facade refurbished - Newport Bay is getting a redesigned entrance area and the lighthouse is now fully refurbished The town square gazebo is being replaced with a new one. And Pinocchio is also going to be repainted That is all for now. Great to see them using the time during their closure to make the parks better
  3. Disneyland Paris had an Inside ears fan event last night talking about upcoming projects in 2021. Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast has been under refurbishment for almost a year now and will open in February 2021 with completely renovated and modernized lighting, black light paint, vehicles, all the animatronics as well as completely refurbishing the buildings facade. The rethemed Hotel New York - The Art of Marvel will also open next year. The rethemed Backlot tour will open as Cars: Route 66 Road Trip And there is also a new show coming to the studios park: Disney jr. Dream Factory Sleeping Beauty Castle will undergo a full refurbishment starting in January 2021 until the parks 30th anniversary (2022). This will include a full repainting, replacing some of the turrets and fixing all the little details. (The castle will be covered in a massive themed tarp and the inside of the castle will still be accessible during the refurb). The resort is also currently working on new permanent security buildings, to do this two big planters are being removed (Just before you enter Fantasia Gardens where a gate used to be) This will replace the ugly tents they currently have. New turnstiles are also being installed to the entrance of Disneyland Park. (These have been tested in a small section in the entrance to the Studios park in the past year and are much better than the old ones, especially for people with strollers and wheelchairs. And finally a collectible key and a book will be released next year for Space Mountain. What is interesting about this is that books for Pirates of the Caribbean and Phantom Manor have been released when they went through massive refurbishments, so maybe this is a sign of Space Mountain finally returning to it's original theme which have been rumored for a while, and also the new trains they installed in 2017 screams Jules Verne so there might be hope
  4. Don't worry about it seeming rude to not know the language, nobody in Europe thinks that. We have so many different languages here in Europe so nobody can expect everyone to know all of them I for example do not expect anyone speaking Norwegian when they come to Norway, English is fine
  5. ^ Yeah out of Paris, Hong Kong and Shanghai, Paris is my favorite (Disneysea is my favorite but out of the castle parks I have been to Paris is the best)
  6. I have just spent 3 days at Disneyland Paris and I am seriously impressed. They have very clear markers on the ground for social distancing and people where mostly following them. ( Apart from a few people that are apparantly blind...) Everyone was wearing masks, and they where organizing the entrance and food lines wery well. The longest I waited was 30 minutes and considering it’s july that is amazing! The parks where looking fantastic now, it is clear that they have been painting and fixing things during lookdown, (for example new cobblestone flooring in fantasyland that looks great!) They where also in the process of painting all the small railings around the park. All in all I had a fantastic time and can’t wait to go back in the future
  7. I visited Tusenfryd yesterday, they where finally allowed to open for the season on saturday. They have the same measures as most parks operating at the moment (prebooking tickets, lower capacity on rides, social distancing markings in queues etc). It is clear that they have done a great job in fixing up the park since my last visit because the park was looking great! And they have also finished refurbishing Thundercoaster and it was running absolutely AMAZING, very smooth and it is running much faster over the first hill than before resulting in major airtime Can’t wait to return next year to try the new coaster
  8. 1 - Tokyo DisneySea, This park blew me away! The theming, the rides, the atmosphere and the cast members where all fantastic Also I love the concept of this park, and steampunk is one of my favorite themes 2- Disneyland Park Paris, This park is amazingly beautiful, they have a fantastic Space Mountain, Big Thunder & Pirates, and I loved Phantom Manor. And again LOVE the steampunk themed Discoveryland. The park seems very well maintained and all the cast members I met where wonderful And personally I thought the food was great. (Mind you I´m used to Tusenfryd´s food and well... The less said about that the better ) 3- Hong Kong Disneyland, I found this park really charming. While it's quite small the attractions they have are great! Especially Mystic Manor. The location of the park is great and the mountains surrounding it looks beautiful. 4- Shanghai Disneyland, Now I did not have that much time to spend in this park as I had to squeeze it in while at work. However they have some really great rides (Tron, Pirates), however I was not really a fan of their version of Main Street as I found it a bit to wide and open. The park is HUGE and really quite beautiful, especially the pirate area. And their Tomorrowland is gorgeous. 5- Walt Disney Studios Paris, Now this is a strange park, the rides are good, really liked ratatouille and their Tower of Terror is good, especially now with the new stories and drop profiles. Crush´s coaster was okay but certainly not worth more than a 40 minute wait. I actually really like the entrance area as I found it quite cozy and it's great when it is raining I'm sure this park will be MUCH better once the expansion is finished.
  9. ^ It’s scheduled to open together with the avengers themed area next year, it is currently beeing rethemed to Iron Man
  10. I was expecting a longer ride considering they said it will be their biggest investment ever, however this will be a good fit for them, and the new Gerstlauer’s are great so i’m sure this will be as well
  11. Great report! I really like Hong Kong Disneyland, I found it to be a very charming park with kind of a cozy feel to it. It also helps that the two times I have visited there have been very little people resulting in many re-rides and walk on space mountain
  12. ^^ This is exciting news Please let this be a really good one, we need some more coasters in this country... And I need to try the new and improved Thundercoaster too so this is another good reason to visit
  13. Great report! I love Hansa Park, it's such a charming little park that keeps getting better every time I visit Kärnan is my favorite rollercoaster, that exit out of the overbank must be one of the most intense elements I have ever experienced, somehow it combines ejector air, crazy laterals and heavy positive g-forces all at once
  14. ^^ I rode the tram tour for the first time a couple of weeks ago and I agree with you, the only good part was catastrophe canyon... So this is excellent news as anything is an improvement over the existing ride. I also got to try two of the new drop profiles on tower of terror and thought they were fantastic! Non stop action from beginning to end, and the new show scenes are way scarier than the old ones!
  15. ^I'm sure you will get to do all of those during your stay without problems since mondays are usually not that crowded and operations are absolutely fantastic resulting in extremely fast moving lines. On Silver Star you should do back row as I find that row the best (And the wait for the front row is usually very long.) I would also say that Arthur and Voletarium is must-do rides. (Voletarium have fast pass actually, works the same way as Disney, you scan your park ticket and get a return time )
  16. Visited Thorpe for the first time since 2014 today. The park is looking a bit run down in places, however one thing that has improved significantly since my last visit is the operations! Everything was running at full capacity and operated very efficiently with little to no stacking Saw was also running great, colossus not as great. And the new soundtrack they recieved for the whole park from IMAScore a couple of years ago is fantastic! All in all I had a great day at Thorpe Park
  17. 3D was put back on yesterday, the reason they where running it in 2D was because the machine that clean the glasses was broken
  18. Thanks for the tips We did not manage to be there before opening, however we managed to get on all the rides we wanted and even rode Indiana Jones and Journey to the center of the earth twice! We had a fantastic day and I can’t wait to go back and explore all of the Resort in the future DisneySea has now become my number one park
  19. I am going to Tokyo DisneySea for the first time tomorrow and I wondered if anyone have ant tips on what not to miss? I know it will be absolutely packed tomorrow because of public holidays in Japan, I only have one full day since I work on a cruiseship and we sail the next day. So any tips on how to get the most out of my day would be great
  20. Definately Europa Park. Great food, great rides, great atmosphere and fantastic operations!
  21. ^ Last time I rode it it gave me a headache, in the last couple of years you could feel every track connection Good to hear it is smooth again
  22. I mean ideally I'll be going to both Haven't done either, just have no idea how busy either of them are really around this time of year, never been to Germany before. Sounds good I don’t think it will be very busy during that time so you should be fine
  23. ^ If I where you I would go to Hansa Park instead as it is about the same distance away from Hamburg and you will have a much better day there Regardless of where you go weekdays will be best as weekends are usually significantly busier.
