robbalvey Posted August 31, 2005 Posted August 31, 2005 With the amount of referals we got from Something Awful today, it made me stop and wonder "What other sites do our users check out on a regular basis?" So that's the question. What non-coaster/theme park sites or message boards do you read out there, and what do you reccomend? For me, I read most of the gaming sites (for obvious reasons) like Blues News and IGN. --Robb
Flyingcoasterfreak Posted August 31, 2005 Posted August 31, 2005 well I'm a skilift freak also. So lift-world.info. I also do web hosting. So Webhostingtalk.com
J man Posted August 31, 2005 Posted August 31, 2005 Pretty much all the sites/ message boards I usually visit are all theme park related. But I'll post anyway visionsfantastic.com, modstothemax.net, doombuggies.com, rollercoasterpro.com, and of course themeparkreview.com.
Angry_Gumball Posted August 31, 2005 Posted August 31, 2005 I mainly visit themepark-related sites such as TPR (duh!) WWS, NCN, SFMWonline when they were around, and so on... A while back, I used to participate on NewGrounds but all the guys there are what us men all have in common. They always tend to bash animations/music even if it's good. I also used to check out Norfair Depths, a Metroid-dedicated site.
Wes Posted September 1, 2005 Posted September 1, 2005 Basically just WC and Something Awful..How hard of a bandwidth hit did you get yesterday/today? I saw the thread coasterguy posted on there (BTW, who is coasterguy on this board?!)
AllisonY2K Posted September 1, 2005 Posted September 1, 2005 Well, aside from this forum everything else I go to is TS-related. Since I seem to be the only one here who is, I won't post referral links since it really wouldn't be of interest to others.
robbalvey Posted September 1, 2005 Author Posted September 1, 2005 ^^ Some guy that's lurked for a long time. I got an email from him yesterday asking to post a link to a video. Being that bandwidth starts over tomorrow I figured, why not? I told him he needs to sign up in exchange for sucking our bandwidth! I didn't actually take that much of a hit, but it sure as hell seemed like there were a LOT of people on the site today! --Robb
zburns999 Posted September 1, 2005 Posted September 1, 2005 I visit IMDB a lot. I used to post on the forums, but some of the people there are idiots. I still go to check movie "star ratings" and show times though.
ebl Posted September 1, 2005 Posted September 1, 2005 I visit Salute to Soda since I'm interested in what's new in the soda world. Eric
OzCatter Posted September 1, 2005 Posted September 1, 2005 1Up, Red Vs Blue, you name a game site, I'm there. -Cal

I still haven't signed up for it. When I'm home I will do so and post a link if anybody is interested.
4718 Posted September 1, 2005 Posted September 1, 2005 My hobby is radio controlled cars, so my forum memberships follow accordingly.....except for this site. www.ultimaterc.com - First site I was a member of, now I'm a mod. www.lsarc.com - Second site I joined, spinoff of above forum, also a mod. www.rccrawler.com - Radio control and rock crawling, what could be better? www.rc-monster.com - Excellent retail site, cool forum community too.....not a mod, yet!

I am the financial coordinator of the association for Bremen North. smells_like_team_disney Posted September 1, 2005 Posted September 1, 2005 All boards I read just happen to be theme park-related. I don't feel the need to venture off into other boards because the boards I do read are so well-rounded. TPR, for example, covers EVERYTHING from sports, concerts, movies to birthdays, grocery store trips and having your wisdom teeth pulled. Other theme park boards I read just happen to cover religion, politics, cultures, traffic & weather, etc. etc. etc... along with their regularly scheduled programming .
Chrissie Posted September 1, 2005 Posted September 1, 2005 I divide my time between here and a Robbie Williams fan site Called The Robbie Williams Site...Lol! I used to post on Robbie's official site but it got hacked n they closed it down
