I was looking for coaster DVD's and ended up on 'emusementparkstore.com' (which i think no longer exists).

They gave Robb's DVD's a big thumbs up, so i bought em.

I now have them to blame for spending more time on TPR than actually working....

I found TPR several years ago, because I was a dork and I was looking for videos of Roller Coasters. At the time I had been spending lots of time on thrillride.com looking at pictures and stuff, and reading Ride Reports...my hunger for coasters grew, and I wanted to see videos of coasters in operation...so I googled Roller Coaster Videos....and luckily found TPR.

I lurked forever!

When I started working at Screamin', I realized that it wouldn't be long before I saw Robb and Elissa in the park. One day I was working the unload position when I looked over at the queue and I recognized Wes. I thought "Hey, thats Wes!" and then I noticed Robb, Jeff and Derek (Elissa was sick ) ...and I thought "Holy Sh*t!, they're here!"

I realized I had 36 seconds to figure out some way to say hi!

So, the train came into the station everyone loaded and as I checked Robb's restraint(Like a big dork!) I said "Have a good ride Mr. Alvey!" Robb gave me this really confused look, and I continued on and dispatched the train.

I felt really dumb, and my co-workers were like who was that guy...and after explanation of who Robb was, and a glimpse into my coaster dorkiness...they were like "You're weird Chuck!"

What was worse, is that I had 3 minutes before the train returned to the station...What was I gonna say then!?

Robb actually approached me and said "Hey, Are you a member of the site!?"

I said "Yes! I am a huge fan!"

The rest was history!

That happened in November of 2005.

Needless to say, I am no longer a lurker! And I still heart TPR!

This story begins with my lovely brother. One day he really wanted to find footage of King Kong on the tram ride at Universal Studios. After many failed attempts here at Theme Park Review he landed. Me and Chris both share the love for amusement parks and schiesty people(just kidding about the schiestyness of you guys)he showed me and soon after took me to my first event where we got ert on viper and x and goliath. That was only the second time ever I had been to Sixflags in my entire life. then after a nice teeth freezing ride on viper I saw Robb and Elissa walking on the std sidewalk of Sixflags along with there normal pack of cronies lol it was the best. To people that don't live in california robb and elissa are celebritys. it was a lot of fun !! I love TPR events and you should too!

Was looking for info on parks in Europe (Movie Park Germany, I think), and landed on the MASSIVE European Trip page, and then subsequently kicked myself in the ass because I could have totally gone on that had I even know TPR even existed. Whenever I'm bored at work, I look at reviews and such to pass the time, then finally regged on the board when more Euro trips were coming out. Now I find myself going to Phantasialand to meet up with the crew for some Black Mamba ERT. Might post a Disney Cruise TPR if I get really bored at work

I Don't really post here much, but I kinda stumbled over here, and started reading all the TR's, I noticed the friendly 'humorous' atmosphere you guys have established over here, so I decided to sign up!

Hi!

I know I voted Google, but it wasn't Google. It was another search engine called AllTheWeb. I was just looking for Roller Coaster POVs and I pumped into your site. After being a little frustraited with the "Members Only" section, I decided to login.

And that's my story...

Oddly enough it happened last night. I was having a conversation with my husband when he asked me if I knew what was going on with SFNO. Having no idea as I haven't heard anything I proceeded to start googling things and ended up here! Then proceeded to spend most of the night going threw the fourms and checking out thread's that seemed to appeal to me.

So, thats how I ended up here!

I think I found it at first on Google, but didn't really like the way it was set up. A while later, a family friend asked me if I'd ever been to TPR, and was saying how awesome it was (I believe he described it as

"a bunch of rich people who go around riding every coaster on the planet. It's soo funny!"), which kind of inspired me to go back on. I slowly got more interested, and now I'm madly in love with TPR.

I found this site a long time ago, well before the forum. (Probably around 2001 maybe)

I was searching for roller coaster sites, mainly looking for pictures of different theme parks I hadn't been to. The only pictures I could really find would be publicity/promotional shots. There were very few amateur photos that existed over the internet and that is what I really wanted to see. For example, I had seen "the picture" of the Loch Ness Monster, but what I really wanted to see was pictures of other parts of the ride or from other angles.

I really liked this site from the first time I found it and immediately bookmarked it waiting for another trip report to be added. I liked how Robb and Elissa really captured the atmosphere at the parks and gave you a much more complete picture of what each park had to offer. Plus, there were so many parks all on one site.
