Thanks for keeping us updated, another reason to look forwared to a visit to Holiday World. Plunge looks terrifying but in a good way.

 

Holidog is probably cowering at the back of his doghouse at the prospect of taking the plunge.

If Pilgrims Plunge is testing in this weather, it'll be more like a recreation of the old Russian ice slides.

 

But I wish the best for the ride. It looks like it'll be fun once it's open.

Hang in there, Adam. It's just the first day of testing ... watch as we make our way through the week; there'll be all sorts of adjustments going on.

 

Should be testing the elevators toward the end of the week.

Thank you for the testing video!

 

It was interesting to see it hit the water so violently. You can see the boat jerk up and down. I know this will be fixed and has to do with the water level, but it was funny to see.

Will there be a current when in regular operation? The boat seemed to just stop after the splash ended. Also, how big is that wave on estimate? Perhaps having a video on the side to compare to the height of the ride?

 

It looks like fun though. Why wasn't the elevator lift being used?

I was wondering if anyone else notices the, what seemed to me, an abrupt jerk up and down as the boat hit the water? I know it's the first test, but it looked like something serious to me.

It probably has to do with the water level. It must have hit the water with quite a lot of force considering the boat stopped not far from the drop.

Testing continues this afternoon ... with a lower water level in the pool.

 

The elevator testing begins later in the week ... and we should have full-circuit runs early next week.

 

Sorry about the webcam's capacity...we need to look into that.
