coasterdad
I wonder who will be the one to fish the boat out of the splash pool?

spaceace12
Tried watching. Webcam was either not connecting or was freezing upon coming up.
alpengeist04
Congrats and good luck on the testing today, Paula. While I can't make to the park this year, I'll definitely be visiting in 2010. See you then.
downunder
Thanks for keeping us updated, another reason to look forwared to a visit to Holiday World. Plunge looks terrifying but in a good way. Â Holidog is probably cowering at the back of his doghouse at the prospect of taking the plunge.
Raven Maven
Just posted a brief video of one of the test runs. Sploosh! Â More tomorrow ... with a variety of water depths. Â Thanks for your kind comments. Â Paula
ebl
If Pilgrims Plunge is testing in this weather, it'll be more like a recreation of the old Russian ice slides. Â But I wish the best for the ride. It looks like it'll be fun once it's open. Â Eric

Raven Maven
Hang in there, Adam. It's just the first day of testing ... watch as we make our way through the week; there'll be all sorts of adjustments going on. Â Should be testing the elevators toward the end of the week. Â Thanks, Paula
gotdane
Thank you for the testing video! Â It was interesting to see it hit the water so violently. You can see the boat jerk up and down. I know this will be fixed and has to do with the water level, but it was funny to see. Â Whiplash, anyone?
PKI Jizzman
Will there be a current when in regular operation? The boat seemed to just stop after the splash ended. Also, how big is that wave on estimate? Perhaps having a video on the side to compare to the height of the ride? It looks like fun though. Why wasn't the elevator lift being used?  Try reading the caption above the video, dude!  I was wondering if anyone else notices the, what seemed to me, an abrupt jerk up and down as the boat hit the water? I know it's the first test, but it looked like something serious to me.  Edit: Hahaha, same thinking, Dane!
MrX8991
It probably has to do with the water level. It must have hit the water with quite a lot of force considering the boat stopped not far from the drop.

COASTER FREAK 11
Thanks for the testing video Paula. I couldn't get the webcam to work for me yesterday. Raven Maven
Testing continues this afternoon ... with a lower water level in the pool. Â The elevator testing begins later in the week ... and we should have full-circuit runs early next week. Â Sorry about the webcam's capacity...we need to look into that. Â Thanks, Paula
Emiroo
Looking good, but wasn't there supposed to be a "splash bridge"?
Raven Maven
We'll have a "splash zone" area ... but not a bridge. Â Thanks, Paula
