JaYmoNeY12 12
Can someone please tell me the top 10 in order from longest wait time to shortest wait time is for rides ? Thanks In my opinion, wait times never stay the same from day to day and are usually kind of unpredictable. Usually Superman has long lines because of how long it takes between dispatches, King Da Ka has long lines because it has to wait for Zumanjaro. El Toro, Nitro, and Bizarro handle crowds very very well. Some weekdays in June, a wait for a ride won't reach 20 minutes, but also with schools coming to an end lots of schools may go to the park and cause increase in wait times. Most weekends during the summer are packed with wait times that could reach well over 2 hours. It really just depends on when you choose to go. coasterbill
Safari USUALLY has the longest line. After that it’s a crapshoot.
sixflagsjuice
Ok so if we get there on a Thursday as soon as the park opens would it be wise to go on the safari first or hit Kingda ka and Superman then do the safari right after?
coasterbill
Honestly... Kingda Ka first, then El Toro, then Safari. It’s your first visit, and you’re (probably) coming for El Toro. Just ride it early even though the lines won’t be bad. El Toro is a pretty reliable ride, but if you missed a ride on it because you were out on the safari and it went down for an extended period of time you’d be so pissed at yourself. But ride Ka first because it’s unreliable and it gets huge lines. Wait a few extra trains for the front. It’s so worth it.
Jason Maier
And as far as the Safari goes (and I found this out on my own) it closes down between 4-430 pm.
BoulderDash
What happened to Kingda Ka? I went to the park yesterday and had two absolutely terrible rides on it. I haven't been on it in a few years but always knew that the very front was the best seat. First ride was front row after a two train wait and it was noticeably rougher than I remembered , it was bad but it wasn't un-rideable. Just for fun I rode again in the 4th row and it was probably the worst coaster experience I have ever experienced. Insanely rough and it vibrated the entire time. My restraint came down way too far at the bottom of the hill and the shoulder harness was digging into my shoulders. It was absolutely dreadful and a disgrace. This ride needs an overhaul big time. Total embarrassment compared to TTD. My brother wanted to go on Green Lantern for some reason but my feet and head were hurting just by looking at it. I walked through the exit and noticed a lot of welding was done to the track ties and I also noticed this messed up looking part of a track piece. No idea if it was like this before but looks pretty messed up to me. Toro was down and Bizarro was stacking big time with three trains, makes no sense to me. The park felt a little run down and rides didn't seem well maintained. Bizarro's chassis and wheels had rust all over it and the wheels looked terrible. I was very impressed with Justice League though, it was very awesome and fun, really hope SFNE gets one in the future.
YoshiFan
I think Bizarro runs better with 2 trains. With only 2 people checking restraints, it's difficult not to stack the trains and when 2 trains are running, one train is usually getting to the final brakes when the other train is about to dispatch. I also agree about Kingda Ka. When the front row line has a long wait, I will go for the 2nd row and once in a while the 3rd row. I avoid the rest of the train. The soft straps that other Intamin coasters got would help make the ride more comfortable.
3Mutts
Looks like some maintenance employee backed his truck into it. Also Ka has always been a rusty hunk of garbage, I swear they used trash Chinese steel
thrillseeker4552
At least in my opinion, I don't think soft straps would really help Kingda Ka. Aside from the front row, I found the problem to be in the extreme vibration and almost jackhammering of the train rather than any sort of head banging. I think I remember reading somewhere (maybe it was on here) that TTD is way smoother because of the lap bar trains and their lower center of mass (plus, well, CP maintenance). I think new trains like those on Red Force would help KK, but I doubt that will happen.
boldikus
^^^^Pretty sure that steel was simply melted by Bill and his blowtorch.
B&MIntaminGCI
Yeah, Ka is insanely unpleasant to ride anywhere but the front. I don't know why it's like that but they should do something about it. The front isn't even that pleasant anymore. Going down the top hat it almost feels like the trains are running square wheels.
bill_s
I enjoyed Ka last year in row 3 but more as a just crazy thing, there are 2 moments you can't even see for the vibration. It's intense but 3 rides max. for me. I didn't wait for the front because it was 38 degrees at the time and I was already cold enough I had no need for 128 MPH in the front row, and it could have gone down for the night at any moment. Allegedly blowtorches were involved in getting it to open at 2 PM that day. The vibration seems just like I305 when a wheel starts going bad, but then they take it down to fix it. coasterbill
Great Adventure takes forever to replace bad wheels on Nitro. I’d imagine it’s the same here.
jamesinclair
And as far as the Safari goes (and I found this out on my own) it closes down between 4-430 pm. During peak summer weekends, Ive seen them close the line at 2pm because a 2 hour wait means the last riders are getting out at 5pm.
sixflagsjuice
How long is the Safari? and do they make you get off halfway and then you have to wait to get back on another bus?
Canobie Coaster
How long is the Safari? and do they make you get off halfway and then you have to wait to get back on another bus? We were forced to get off the one time I rode it since the queue on the outpost was lengthy. But it's my understanding you can sometimes stay on. coasterbill
Honestly, you should get off. Camp Aventura is sometimes the best part of the safari depending on what animals ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶p̶a̶r̶k̶ ̶d̶e̶c̶i̶d̶e̶d̶ ̶t̶o̶ ̶p̶u̶t̶ ̶o̶u̶t̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶r̶e̶ ̶b̶e̶c̶a̶u̶s̶e̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶y̶'̶r̶e̶ ̶c̶u̶t̶e̶ ̶o̶r̶ ̶b̶e̶c̶a̶u̶s̶e̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶y̶ ̶w̶o̶u̶l̶d̶ ̶b̶e̶ ̶k̶i̶l̶l̶e̶d̶ ̶b̶y̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶o̶t̶h̶e̶r̶ ̶m̶a̶l̶e̶s̶ ̶i̶n̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶p̶r̶i̶d̶e̶ ̶ had first time moms who rejected them so the park had to intervene and separate the cubs and hand raise them and now they're in Camp Aventura so you can see how cute they are but they'll be reintroduced to the pride in a few years. Last time I went, people stayed on. I recommend getting off though. I keep seeing people saying to get off however I'm only going for one day and am traveling 5 hours to get there. I don't want the safari to take up 2-3 hours of time at the safari I feel like I wouldn't be able to see most of the park in that time
njcoasterguy34
There are trucks stopping at Camp Discovery every 5 to 10 minutes or so, so stopping there won't take a whole lot of your time. They do have a neat collection of snakes and lizards to check out.
B&MIntaminGCI
Had an AMAZING day at the park today. 100% made up for the last visit. There was tons and tons and tons of school kids but not a line to be seen. The longest line we waited in was for Kingda Ka which was only as long as it was because of 3 break downs. They transferred the green train off, ran it for a bit, and then transferred it back on. Also, what happened to the Dark Blue train? That's my favorite and it was NO WHERE to be seen? Only the orange, green and teal trains were running. We marathoned Toro like 4 separate times throughout the day, same with Nitro. Justice League was a walk on. Got to take this photo as the last ride of the night.
