Canobie Coaster Posted November 13, 2018 Posted November 13, 2018 ^ The only downside having the two right next to each area is that the Plaza Carnival area has yet to open for Holiday in the Park, so you'd miss out on both El Toro and this theoretical RMC.

And that is fine. As a whole, SFGAdv locals don't act as self entitled as many of our counterparts. Instead of bitching about it being 10+ years since El Toro, we are grateful to have El Toro. You don't hear nearly as many SFGAdv locals complain about being owed or deserving a big coaster.
JG-77 Posted November 14, 2018 Posted November 14, 2018 ^ True; however, having regular substantial additions including a Justice League, Cyborg, three new coasters, and the world's tallest drop tower probably helped
xVicesAndVirtues Posted November 14, 2018 Posted November 14, 2018 But in all seriousness, I love the idea of an RMC and El Toro having an orgy under El Toro's airtime hill that's better than most orgasms, Thank God I don't go to enthusiast events.
ytterbiumanalyst Posted November 14, 2018 Posted November 14, 2018 Well, I for one love the idea of RMC'ing El Diablo.
DBru Posted November 14, 2018 Posted November 14, 2018 ^I can't even begin to imagine what RMC could do with that coaster's layout!

Would some screenshots (dozens? hundreds?) suffice? While (thankfully) I don't see it much here, the locals are spoiled whiney brats that sound like broken record players with that line about "no original coasters in 12 years". CoasterAuditor Posted November 14, 2018 Posted November 14, 2018 Facebook comments are an absolute cesspool of complete garbage especially on official park pages. It really frustrates me as it exposes the "ass" of humanity for what it is. We already have people in KDs comments calling Kings Dominion "neglected" since there doesn't appear to be anything new for 2019. Apparently Twisted Timbers "doesn't count" people are so dumb.
grsupercity Posted November 14, 2018 Posted November 14, 2018 If folks in New Jersey dont want a gaga discovery there are 1000 other parks that would love to take it
CoasterAuditor Posted November 14, 2018 Posted November 14, 2018 Yeah a lot of average non enthusiast type people look at rides like Pendulum style rides as "carnival rides" which is a lame way to look at something fun.
Canobie Coaster Posted November 14, 2018 Posted November 14, 2018 Those giant discoveries are better than a majority of coasters out there.
coasterbill Posted November 14, 2018 Posted November 14, 2018 Those giant discoveries are better than a majority of coasters out there. I've tried to explain that. You can't reason with these people.
Canobie Coaster Posted November 14, 2018 Posted November 14, 2018 Less people in line for people that appreciate them I guess.
thrillseeker4552 Posted November 14, 2018 Posted November 14, 2018 I rode CraZanity for the first time last month, and that thing is so wild and better than many of the coasters at SFMM. Anyone who attends SFGAdv or SFFT next year should really consider themselves lucky! The regular models (like the one going to Georgia) are still insane, but you can really feel the extra height on the 172-foot version.
CoasterAuditor Posted November 14, 2018 Posted November 14, 2018 I really need to ride one of these Giant Discoveries. The closest one to me has always been Black Widow at Kennywood which I have never been there. This should be mended next year.
Canobie Coaster Posted November 14, 2018 Posted November 14, 2018 I love the ones at SFNE and SFOT, so I'm looking forward to trying one of the slightly larger ones at Great Adventure next year.
B&MIntaminGCI Posted November 14, 2018 Posted November 14, 2018 I've been on a ton of pendulum rides. Pendulum, Delirium, countless KMG Afterburners, Street Fighters (Revolution) and more. I'm curious to see how this monster compares.
boldikus Posted November 14, 2018 Posted November 14, 2018 I haven’t been this excited for an addition here since Zumanjaro. In fact I’d say I’m probably more excited than then.
Jason Maier Posted November 15, 2018 Posted November 15, 2018 As I recall, WW:LOT is going right where Stuntman's Freefall used to be?

No, why the hell would I want to read that garbage. Let me live in the TPR world where those that post in the SFGAdv thread are reasonable. Do yourself a favor and stop reading those Facebook pages? Find something more productive to do with your spare time.
boldikus Posted November 15, 2018 Posted November 15, 2018 Do yourself a favor and stop reading those Facebook pages? Find something more productive to do with your spare time. You sound just like the voice inside my head.
michaellynn4 Posted November 15, 2018 Posted November 15, 2018 As I recall, WW:LOT is going right where Stuntman's Freefall used to be? That's right. Great Adventure History has a couple good photos from their latest trip report that show off the construction site.
michaellynn4 Posted November 15, 2018 Posted November 15, 2018 Sorry for the double post, but speaking of Great Adventure History, look what one of their posters (alden97) found speeding up northbound on the NJ Turnpike last night:
grsupercity Posted November 15, 2018 Posted November 15, 2018 Did your Super Loop not pull good numbers?
coasterbill Posted November 15, 2018 Posted November 15, 2018 This is purely speculation but it seems like Great Adventure's removals this year (King Cobra and El Diablo) are likely a response to frivolous lawsuits. It seems like they just want to get these rides out of America and send them to normal countries where people aren't so unbearably stupid. The El Diablo lawsuit was apparently because the redundant seatbelt broke and the rider injured herself "struggling" to hold on to a normal restraint that was functioning exactly as designed. The King Cobra lawsuit (for 3 million dollars) was because the riders didn't read the rules of the ride and hurt themselves because they were way over the ride's weight limit which led to excessive speed.
