mikeykaise
I'm just saying in general outside of the pool and there was 0 social distancing in the wave pool.
Midgetman82
On top of that, I'm ALSO just now learning that KY State Fair switched ride vendors this year from North American Midway Entertainment to Kissel Entertainment! This feels similar to Bluegrass Fair in Lexington who switched from Belle City Amusements to Kissel Entertainment last year, and the ride lineup was SO MUCH better for it! I'm hoping the same can be said for this year's State Fair ride lineup. NAME's midway felt like it had been... lacking, the few times I've been back to the fair. Welp, the fair just confirmed it is closed off to the general public, so no midway this year. https://kystatefair.org/covid-19-plan/
hey...hey
A quality park employee also confirmed the RMC raptor possibility Monday when I was at the park. He said it will be going back by the Larson Loop Eye of the Storm. If that holds water, that will be the 3rd Schilke designed rollercoaster in the park. Pretty sweet. He also said that the park has a 200 ft height limit due to the airport vicinity, and that Kentucky Flyer was almost a hyper. And BTW, I preferred my Monday at KK over my Sunday at HW by far. Better selection of coasters

DoinItForTheFame
A quality park employee also confirmed the RMC raptor possibility Monday when I was at the park... Wait... So someone confirmed the "possibility" of something? So basically this means nothing... Anyone can "confirm" the "possibility" of something. Doesn't make it true. DBru
On the other hand, my KK employee friend recently had a conversation with Mrs. Hart and she apparently heavily implied that the raptor plans are cancelled. So...maybe we should all take all things all employees say with a teeny tiny grain of salt. Lol

PKI Jizzman
Is T4 a long running joke like Magnum sinking our are they really trying again to make T3 better with different trains? The keys to the kingdom event itinerary mentions getting a first look at the T4 train and there's an "ask your favorite youtuber if they are coming to T4 media day" time slot lmao

New Vekoma vest trains would be great though.
Waltrane
I went there to Kentucky Kingdom today and it’s more like Covid Kingdom. Masks and social distancing definitely was not enforced at all. I spoke with management about it and she blamed me for not reporting it (except that’s why I was talking to her.) I was there a whopping thirty minutes and left after being denied a refund. I was really looking forward to riding Storm Chaser but it’s not worth it after that level of poor customer service.
mikeykaise
^ I agree with this to a certain extent, I'm glad it's so much closer to my house (like just 10 mins) but with as slow as the ques can be, and all the obnoxious teens dropped off to run wild. I'd rather go to Holiday World, that's a much better day out for the family.

Wow I can't believe you left so quickly. usually the back corner by Storm Chaser is dead. You should of been easily been able to social distance your self there. I was there a few Sundays ago and got six zen rides first thing in the morning before anyone else even made it back to that part of the park. Personally, poor customer service would never stop me from getting a ride on a great RMC especially if I've already paid to get in.
boldikus
Yeah Waltrane that's some Karen level behavior right there. Calm down, put yet mask on and ride the dang RMC.
jconsolmagno
Flying into Louisville for my first trip to Kentucky Kingdom Friday. This is the best year to be an enthusiast, cheap hotels and cheap flights. Knocked a lot of "new" parks out for me, excited to see what Kentucky Kingdom has to offer this weekend. Midgetman82
Just FYI: Tickets still going on for Sunday's event, and no coaster club membership required. https://shop.kentuckykingdom.com/webstore/shop/viewitems.aspx?CG=specialevents&c=keystokingdom
jr7010337
Had a great time at SFKK last August. I only had a few hours before my flight out of Louisville, it was raining, and I was soaked... but I had a great time. Operations were a little slow, but then again, there were probably fewer than 100 people at the park. And everyone was polite. The woman at the parking booth called me "honey," and Bugs and Daffy gladly took a picture with a crazy, soaked out-of-towner.
tanthonyam
My first time visit to KK was a couple of weeks ago. I could not believe how cheap the flight was to Louisville, and park tickets were super cheap also. Oh and this park is very close to the airport! Just a few miles away. I decided to go for it even though it was going to be over 85 degrees. Let's just say I made good use of the waterpark. I was impressed with the wave pool and I could have stayed in the lazy river all day. The dry park was ok I guess for a small city park. The coasters were fun but did not really blow me away. The RMC and Chance coasters were the best there. The woody Thunder Run was average at best and was horrible in the back seat. T3 rattled too much, and almost made me puke. Well it could have been the heat too. I am not used to being at parks in the summer heat. Spending the rest of the day in the waterpark helped out perfectly. I felt much better after a while. Kentucky Flyer was ok, but its really a family coaster. I shied away from the new enterprise ride they had with floorless seats. I thought the heat and the spinning would not work well together. If you are driving thru I guess its worth a visit, but its not a destination park unless you throw in Holiday World in Indiana also which is about a hour and a half away. Much better wood coasters there! Anyway on to the pics. I go there so early nobody charged me for parking. Pretty average entrance plaza. Nice touch. Not very busy in the morning. Most all rides were walk on. It was hot! I find it hilarious they have spectator bleachers for a Super Loop/Fireball ride. Skipped it due to it being too hot. Skipped this too, but really wanted to try these new style Enterprise rides. I do like the look of these seats. This park actually has a road running thru it. They had attendants stopping cars to let pedestrians cross over. I swear this was the loudest lift hill in the park. That thing was noisy! This road splits the park. I was told this ride came from King's Island. Walk on. Average at best. Another walk on! You can get right up close to the ride right outside the park. I was able to get some good shots. ehhhhh Another walk on, for obvious reasons. I found the restraints to be a bit unusual. This was actually quite relaxing, and the air helped. The park does have a few shady areas. Added plus was the waterpark included in the already cheap admission. You can get very close to this coaster right outside driving by. That's all!
