coasterking2981
Well since a lot of people here think its a prototype I guess we can entertain the idea of B&M building their own version of X2, aka the "spinning" B&M someone posted earlier And I dont think I would be wrong in saying it wouldnt be the first time B&M has built their own, but much better, version of a ride design by another company. Inverted Coasters are pretty much smoother and all together better versions of a Vekoma SLC.
DarkStitch626
Does anyone else see that on one of the labeled track pictures "SC" is also listed which could mean "south carolina" under part number?
ParkTrips
^ That's been discussed a lot already (rtft), and "Sitting Coaster" is probably more likely. I'm bored at 4am, so I just read the whole thread. I'm really sad that aquatrax was only brought up a couple times.

I thought that Superman The Not Clone at SF Great America was the first inverted.

Hercules
Actually, that is all incorrect. I do believe the first inverted coaster was at Paramount's Great America, not the Six Flags Great America that you speak of. It was then Top Gun, and is now known as Flight Deck. The first flying coaster by B&M was built at Six Flags Great America, and I'm guessing that is the "inverted" coaster that you guys speak of. montezooma
No, No, No...it was Superman at California's Great America that was the first Inverted coaster.

televisedconfession
Batman: The Ride at Six Flags Great America was the first inverted coaster. It opened in 92. Top Gun opened the year after. Miltonmx
Well, I have another theory. As you know, SF Mexico, is building the Batman Dark Knight Coaster that was originally planned for SF New England. Before this coaster was announced, the rumors claimed that the first B&M coaster for Mexico could be the next big project for this park. On the press conference, Shapiro told the media that another important atracction will come for the 2010 season: Source: http://www.elfinanciero.com.mx/ElFinanciero/Portal/cfpages/contentmgr.cfm?docId=155877&docTipo=1&orderby=docid&sortby=ASC Destacó que también se tienen planeadas una serie de inversiones en mantenimiento para el próximo año, y la llegada de otra importante atracción para 2010. Also there is somethings else that supports this theory. Batman The Ride is the only yellow track coaster of the park, and it will be repainted to change the colors at the moment unknown. The boomerang coaster is now at this process and will change from red track to purple, and blue supports to green. I have no more arguments, but as all theorys, this is one possibility. Batman Top Gun Or are you all joking? This thread is hard to read... No. It was called Superman, and then repainted the next year and called Batman. And the one at Great Adventure opened first, but that was after Top Gun, but before Mr. Freeze.

Changing color schemes on an existing coaster isn't proof of anything, after all SFA repainted their SLC yellow & orange in 05 while, halfway across the park there's another yellow coaster known as Batwing. This ride is not for SFM,they already have a hyper so the production schedule doesn't fit & SFI is not in the financial position to afford expensive rides from B&M at the present time. Matt6885
Could it be somthing that might fill this huge piece of reclaimed land at Thorpe Park? *hopes*
TPDave
No. Firstly, it's not a huge piece of land, secondly it's a new infill and would need about a year to settle, thirdly they haven't filed planning yet and it would be odd to have the track made before planning was granted. Oh yeah there's also the new coaster that's already built and ready for '09 Dave
Matt6885
ahh well... I can still hope for something cool there! This pic is quite a long way out of date after all... the reclaimed area might be bigger by now! and SAW the ride does look fantastic http://www.projectdylan.co.uk/Construction/
TPDave
I think it's more likely that flats will go on that land if they make it park of the publically accessable park. The problem with the west of the park is that's the residential side so it could be harder to push a louder ride through planning. larrygator
^Can you tell us about the brakes associated with this mysterious track?
TPDave
I believe the brakes will be on a slightly steeper incline than the B&M gradients of late. This will allow the mystery coaster to negotiate nearby rides in the mystery park. Hope that helps...
