iplf Posted May 17, 2009 Posted May 17, 2009 Can't wait to ride it on my first trip to SFMM... Although the lines will be huge!
A-kid Posted May 17, 2009 Posted May 17, 2009 Nice. That actually hammers around that track! Â Looking faward to seeing more of this beast!
nowaymang Posted May 17, 2009 Posted May 17, 2009 WANT!.. Â I love the way that ride seems to glide along. Â I need to realistically figure out how to make it to California in the next 2 years.
GriffonFan09 Posted May 17, 2009 Posted May 17, 2009 Awesome update! Looks like another great wooden coaster
Manny In England Posted May 17, 2009 Posted May 17, 2009 I wonder when they'll start using the theming with Christian Bale shouting at people to "get off his ride".
michielh3 Posted May 17, 2009 Posted May 17, 2009 Ofcourse the big box in the back is not for the audio system, that would just be plain stupid. It's obvious that you can put your bags and hats in it , so you don't lose it while riding !   And what to say about a coaster that's testing .. wel .. it's running smooth .. and .. making coaster sounds  I can't wait for media day though , POV
cooksta77 Posted May 17, 2009 Posted May 17, 2009 This ride looks great. I think Magic Mountain has a winner here. Only 6 days until I get to ride this thing. Thanks again Robb.
coasterdude5 Posted May 17, 2009 Posted May 17, 2009 Man that thing really hauls! I like the post-lift drop, I think it's gonna make the second larger drop alot cooler. Thanks for posting the video!
cfc Posted May 17, 2009 Posted May 17, 2009 You know, I've always been suspicious of those water-filled dummies--creepy looking bastards! Â Thanks for the video, Robb--the ride's looking good.
Vffreak07 Posted May 17, 2009 Posted May 17, 2009 Looks like a fun ride, but not anything huge or spectacular. I think Prowler definitely gets the edge in the best GCI for 09.
robbalvey Posted May 17, 2009 Author Posted May 17, 2009 Looks like a fun ride, but not anything huge or spectacular. I think Prowler definitely gets the edge in the best GCI for 09. Yes, because you can absolutely make that decision based on an at-dusk filmed video taken from one side of the ride.
nrdyboii Posted May 17, 2009 Posted May 17, 2009 Sweet Ride, this Ride Seems to be one of the fastest Wooden Coasters I have ever seen. Â Is it?
Vffreak07 Posted May 17, 2009 Posted May 17, 2009 Well I haven't ridden either so I can't firmly say "Oh this is better than the other", but from what I've seen (and in my opinion), Prowler looks better. When I take a visit out to Cali next year I'll have a ride it & see how it actually compares to all the other GCI's.
robbalvey Posted May 17, 2009 Author Posted May 17, 2009 ^ I can accept that. Â Sorry, it's just a pet peeve of mine when someone makes a hard opinion on something they've never ridden. Â I think Prowler definitely gets the edge in the best GCI for 09. Â Had you said for example, "Based on all the photos and videos I've seen, it looks to me like Prower has the edge over Terminator, but I'll report more when I've been on both..." Â Would have sounded a bit better. Â I know everyone has their own opinions and that's fine, but I do think sometimes people should conisder their "delivery" or "presentation" on their opinions and how others will react to them. Â Honestly, I'm just trying to make yours (and other peoples) posts sound a bit better and be more well received. Â --Robb
KGA29 Posted May 17, 2009 Posted May 17, 2009 The ride looks great and it seems to keep a really fast speed throughout the entire course. Almost open....
Calicoasters Posted May 17, 2009 Posted May 17, 2009 This coaster looks even better in action! While I can't really see what the front car looks like, it looks like it is low and compact. Looking forward to riding this bad boy when I can get out to the park next time! Â Now I'm off to KBF to be excited only by Xcelerator and Montezooma's
CreditCrazy Posted May 17, 2009 Posted May 17, 2009 Terminator looks great it action! From the video, it looks like it just flies through the course with great pacing. It looks like it just fits in the area next to Deja Vu so well. They needed this coaster so badly and now they have it! Â On another note, is there any more news/construction going on with the queue?
robbalvey Posted May 17, 2009 Author Posted May 17, 2009 I've also just posted the HD version of the video to CoasterTube as our first HD test. Please let me know how you all think it compares to the original one I uploaded! Â [coastertube]http://www.themeparkreview.com/coastertube/play.php?vid=terminator_testing_qb9l[/coastertube] Â Enjoy! Â --Robb
Calicoasters Posted May 17, 2009 Posted May 17, 2009 Looks Great! I wish I would have watched this version first! Â Thanks again Robb!
SlammedNiss Posted May 17, 2009 Posted May 17, 2009 Looks like a fun ride, but not anything huge or spectacular. I think Prowler definitely gets the edge in the best GCI for 09. Well, I'll let ya know in a couple weeks. Although, I will probably be a bit partial to Prowler since it's my "local" park. Â Glad to see this thing in action. Great video robbalvey. (and dedication too!!)
atem122 Posted May 17, 2009 Posted May 17, 2009 Wow I honestly didnt expect it to go that fast, especially through the pre drop part, now my excitement to ride it has literally gone through the roof!
UberBeavis Posted May 17, 2009 Posted May 17, 2009 Thanks for the video, Robb. It looks great, and so does the ride.
Troll Posted May 17, 2009 Posted May 17, 2009 Am I the only one who thinks that those water dummies - I mean 'Terminators' - have the best job in the world??
