J man
The water dummies are T-1000s!!! My gosh, I feel so stupid for not seeing that. Screw John Connor. Robb can spot terminators with his eyes closed. In all seriousness the ride does look really good. I think I may have to set some money aside and make my way back over to SFMM so I can ride this bad boy. robbalvey
I'll be taking pictures of Terminator, and hopefully it will be testing, before the evening, I want to see this coaster in person, and I am sure it's a beautiful sight. I'm told they cannot start testing until 6pm. --Robb

robbalvey
^ I know it's been covered here already before, but there are a lot of other crews also working on the ride - guys doing theming, queue areas, onride photos, lockers, landscaping, etc, etc, and they really can't run the ride where there is all kinds of people all over the field. When those crews leave, they are able to do testing. --Robb

It should be interesting to see the final product after the media day coverage!

andyuk200523
Just 1 more reason to be jealous of peeps living in America!! I would imagine the large box at the rear of the train carries the on-board computers for the audio possibly, similar to the rear car on the Rock 'n' Rollercoaster trains. Ok, so I finally watched the Video with audio as I couldn't the other day, Robbs awesome commentary obviously beat me to it here! D'oh

Sir Clinksalot
^ I also think it has a lot to do with WHO posted the video. Let's face it, you've built up a 15 year fan-base and it's deserved.

BeemerBoy
I think it's the Tyvek home wrap. With fewer new homes being built these days, construction workers around the world are interested in seeing it for old times sake.
ebl
When was the last time a wooden coaster opened in Southern California? That may be part of the popularity of the testing video. And perhaps because of the degree of theming for a woodie? I have a feeling that it's going to be VERY crowded at SFMM this weekend. And not just because of the holiday. Manic Monte
Yeah, as much as I'd like to ride this, there's no way I'm setting foot in SFMM this weekend. And I wouldn't be surprised if Terminator is not on the q-bot list for this weekend either.
topthrill2
isnt it ironic that they are making this roller coaster (themed out of a heavy metal, guns, and insane futuristic robots) out of wood? it just seems ...stupid
Manic Monte
By the way. I recently saw an advanced screening of Terminator: Salvation, and I haven't decided if I liked it or not. Very well done special effects, and a terrific performance from a relative newcomer named Sam Worthington (first cyborg to get and oscar nod?), who completely steals the movie from Bale. He's the one you'll remember from the movie much more so than John Connor, who in this film comes off very grim, humorless and almost unlikeable. Very stylish direction from McG, who gives the movie a very distinct grainy look, and the "machines" in this film are creepier than ever. But the movie was so cold, grim and humorless that although it was effective in the early moments, it really starts to wear on you about the halfway point. I was sitting there missing Arnold and the sense of "fun". The movie was better than expected (if you were expecting it to be crap), but it really wasn't all that good either. Of course the movie is left WIDE open for a sequel, so SFMM should be able to milk this theme for many years to come!
alpengeist04
Who would have thought that many people all over the world wanted to see Terminator testing??? --Robb People probably thought they were getting a bootleg of the movie. Just kidding, I think Sir Clinksalot hit the nail on the head. It had more to do with who posted the video and the quality that is always delivered. Guy T. Koepp
^^^ That is ironic. I don't think any one has mentioned that yet in this whole thread. That's very observant of you.

Calicoasters
10,000 spoons, when all you need is a knife. I'm glad I have plans all weekend. So even I wanted to go to SFMM, I can't. I bet the park is going to be packed! Good luck to those who can make it, hope you have fun and review it here soon!
coastermoosh
Stuff that never, never, ever gets old: 1. The Macarena 2. Political commercials during election season. 3. Susan Boyle. 4. Complaining about a wooden coaster being themed to Terminator.
