While I admit that the GASM was one of my favorites during the 90's, nothing comes close to El Toro for being the best coaster in the park right now.

My top 5:

1.El Toro

2.Batman-TR

3.Medusa

4.Nitro

5.Kingda Ka

Nitro, it's my favorite coaster at the park and my #2 steel coaster. I really like the horseshoe turn and the turn after the first hill and the helix before the MCBR.

I like GASM and don't find it that rough at all (sometimes a little rough in the corkscrews but not too bad) so I don't think it deserves the bad reputation it has.

7) GASM

8) Dark Knight

I've haven't been able to make it up there yet but the coolest rides to me are:

Kingda Ka

El Toro

Nitro

Medusa

Dark Knight (I know yall hate it, but it looks fun-ish )

I'd have to place my vote for Superman: Ultimate Flight. It's the closest B&M flyer to my location (prefer Tatsu but so far away...) and I try to make it my first and last ride when I visit Great Adventure. I ride at the back and the approach and entry into the pretzel loop dive gets me every time. Just absolutely exhilarating.

Follow that closely with:

El Toro

Nitro

Batman

Medusa

(makes my top 5)

El Toro is by far the best coaster I have ever ridden (wood or steel) so its an easy pick for me. Heres my full list:

El Toro

Nitro

Batman The Ride

Kingda Ka

Medusa

Superman Ultimate Flight

Great American Scream Machine

Rolling Thunder (left side was actually pretty fun)

Skull Mountain

Runaway Mine Train

Dark Knight

Blackbeard's Lost Treasure Train

I'm amazed anyone could vote for GASM...I wanted off of it as soon as it left the left hill....and Rolling Thunder was only slightly more enjoyable...

El Toro beats out Nitro by a hair for me.

1. El Toro

2. Nitro

3. Medusa

4. GASM

5. Kingda Ka

I don't know how anybody could vote for Superman Ultimate Bore.

I'm ok with DK but let's not waste a vote too.

I voted El Toro - OLE!!! Easily it is the best coaster in the park.

My Top rides nearly every time I go now:

1. Toro

2. NITRO

3. Medusa

4. Blackbeard's Treasure Train.

Usually my fifth choice is a mixed bag choice. The most I usually ride in a visit is six coasters.

Oooo, this is tough. I was there last Saturday soo...

I wish everyone would stop bashing the Kingda Ka. It was a good ride, a fast and awesome launch, lots of Gs on the way up, a good view, and an awesome drop. My only complaints were that it is totally unreliable and that the line is way too long for such a short ride. It almost tied with El Toro, but El Toro is reliable, has not that bad lines, and provides a long airtime filled, intense ride. I still say Intamin totally rocks no matter what...

El Toro

Kingda Ka

Superman: Ultimate Flight

Nitro

Medusa

Batman

Rolling Thunder

GASM

Dark Knight

For me it has to be El Toro. Toro is my all time favorite roller coaster just for so many reasons. The best first drop I have experienced, the abundance of ejector airtime on all the hills, and a long and smooth ride. Right behind El Toro is Nitro because of it's amazing first drop and awesome floater airtime. Kingda Ka comes in third at the park because of the amazing launch and overall intense coaster.

1. El Toro

2. Nitro

3. Kingda Ka

4. Medusa

5. Batman the Ride

For me it's El Toro by about a thousand miles! It is truly a masterpiece, and only a hair behind Voyage for my #1 woodie spot overall. That could change with rerides on Air Bull, but lines were obnoxious during my lone visit to the park in 2006, so 1 ride was all I could manage. And for the record, I loved Nitro a ton as well, although it just pales by comparison to Toro's out of this world greatness!

My Top 5 there:

1. El Toro, FTW!

2. Nitro - Exceptional, but no Bull

3. Medusa - Favorite Floorless currently

4. Kingda Ka - Great, but really, why the dang OTSR's??

5. Batman: TR - Classically great

El Toro El Toro El Toro.

I doubted this coaster before I rode it. I figured it had to have been over hyped. How wrong was I.

El Toro is easily the best coaster at the park in my opinion, and probably one of the best in the world. The airtime is just unbelievable, and the drop is one of the best on any coaster I've ridden.

Nitro is also good, but just nowhere near El Toro.
