Woodie Warrior
As long as the station looks awesome (crossing my fingers), I really don't care if there are shade canopies. I mean, they need something there to give people in line shade, and trees wouldn't be fully grown by summer.
ajfelice
I'm just happy there are shade canopies. Gatekeeper's queue doesn't have any of them in the portion of the line that's actually full all of the time, but they have plenty over by the lake in the part of the queue that's only full when the line is huge. I never realized that, but you are completely right. I was lucky that the day I actually waited in line that it wasn't very sunny. But anyways, this is an "amusement" park we are analyzing. The queue is shaded, has some fun visuals, and it's a high capacity ride so the queue should move well. What more can you ask from a Cedar Fair park? We are not going to find Disney and Universal-esque queues in most amusement parks. Heck, this is much better than what I have seen from the likes of Six Flags. Even a more unique place like Kennywood has more terrible queues than this. Just look at how cheaply they installed Sky Rocket and Black Widow to name a couple. In my opinion, this entire Banshee installation looks impressive. It's simple, yet has personality, and can be easily maintained on the amusement park level. thrillseeker4552
Like others, I'm just glad there are shade canopies. When Knott's added shade to the Coast Rider/Boardwalk rides queues, it helped out a lot during the hot California days. I really don't have a problem with this queue. coastercoaster5
Just checking, is this a new sized B&M track?
traincrossin
Just checking, is this a new sized B&M track? I believe the track is normal, but the spine on the lift is thicker.
Diamondbacker27
Hope they aren't taking the Six Flags approach.
Koasterking48
Yes, they are going to have French's Mustard train wraps on Banshee this season... That webpage has always been there and as far as I know, the way they are advertising these products hasn't changed.

BeJayDoubleyou
Just checking, is this a new sized B&M track? I've been wondering the same thing. It appears to be a little larger, like they may have used their flying coaster track for this ride. Does anyone know if these new trains are any wider than the older ones? Maybe they needed a slightly larger tack for that? Just a thought...
rollercoasterbuff
Hey Guys, Are TPR members invited to the media day event? If not, what coaster clubs are invited? Thanks, Cyrus
ccharle2
Just an FYI: They've been testing Banshee continuously for the past 10 minutes or so! Makes me really excited for the 17th!

TheZachMan28
Hey Guys, Are TPR members invited to the media day event? If not, what coaster clubs are invited? Thanks, Cyrus Yes, they are. But you have to be already signed up for it, the deadline was in March. Pretty strict with the entry of this media day. I'm not sure if any others were like that, this will be my first. ^ lol, beat me to it.
thatonecoasterjunkie
Are they not going to include Banshee with Fast lane or Fast lane plus? Banshee and The Bat both don't have a fast lane or fast lane plus sign beside it.
PVA62
^Banshee is on Fast lane Plus, Bat doesn't look like it is on either.
coasterbill
I'm guessing it would be way too much work to put Bat on Fastlane due to it's insanely long and narrow queue line. They probably couldn't divide it so they'd need to build a new path. That's a shame as it's really one of the best coasters in the park.
alilstronger
When I was there over Memorial day weekend 2 years ago the Bat did not have long lines early in the AM and late PM. It is such a good coaster in my opinion.
Diamondbacker27
I've always wondered why it didn't have fast lane. We always skip it because of it. I've also wondered why kings Island and kings Dominion's drop towers look so different. I mean they are both designed and built by Intamin. thrillseeker4552
Intamin designs and builds several types of drop towers. Why do Kings Island's and Kings Dominion's have to be the same? It's good to have variety. Each park probably wanted their own specifications. That's my guess.
TheZachMan28
^ Exactly. The drop towers would be too similar if they didn't. I prefer the look of the one at KI. The drop towers with a more large diameter for seating look awkward IMO. V The best part is that it spins an exact 360 degrees, so whatever direction your seat is in on the ground will be pointing the same direction when it falls. alilstronger
I like that KI's drop tower spins slowly as it goes up.
Diamondbacker27
They don't all have to be the same, I was just wondering why they looked so different. And it is to have a good mix up of different ride styles at each park.

I've also never seen the line over 15 minutes, outside of Saturdays during the Haunt. Most days it only has about a 2 train wait. This year, I would expect lines to increase a bit, however, due to its proximity to Banshee.
