Kings Island (KI) Discussion Thread

They sure do have a thing for those Dinosaurs at Kings Island. I NEVER see people paying to see it. I did once see a corporate group going together and a few random little kids. I just don't see how it makes any money. Maybe it just me. /shrug

I think maybe for little kids it is neat, but for an older person, i think it has no popularity. Maybe I'm wrong, but when i went to KD last year, there was nobody in it

I think it must be making Cedar Fair money because they decided to put another D-Alive in Carowinds. At least KI is in the woods and not in an open field like Carowinds. I got a good view of theirs while waiting in line for Afterburn. Now I don't have to spend 5 to see it. At KI I usually see a trickle of people going back there while I am riding Racer.

I think all the money CF is putting out to install DA attractions at thier parks could be put to better use in other areas of the parks, but thats just me. I dont see them being all that popular, especially as an upcharge attraction.

^ The one at Carowinds is not very popular at all. I can see inside the exhibit from the steps going into the AfterBurn station. Usually there is no one in there, but when it's busy, there may be up to 3 people there.

It is one of the better rides. The line does move a little slow so hitting it early is usually a good idea. It works out since Firehawk is slow too and they are right next to each other. I would say don't miss it.

I actually think Flight of Fear is the best ride in the park. These are very underrated coasters.

Yes! FOF at KD in my opinion is awesome. It is so underrated and packs a puch! I feel they are very smooth too

Not wanting to add too much to the hype or overrate it, but it is my favorite indoor roller coaster, and favorite coaster in the park aside from Diamondback.

^^Flight of Fear's line is not too bad. The usually get the trains dispatched pretty quickly.

 

Full inside queue is about 45 minutes to an hour. Same as a full Diamondback queue which is exactly 45 minutes from the entrance to boarding the train.

Indeed. No one, especially dinosaurs, should be exposed to the '70's.
