terrancew_hod
LOL @ Big Mike! Can you imaging me singing in back: Get a little closer, Don't be shy... These old jingles just stick in my head! Although I didn't have the tape with the jingle to the Pro-line "Just for me" Relaxer commercial... with a remix. My best friend has that! niiicolaaah
I like how they converted that wood tracked coaster into a bobsled. It is so cool what these parks can do with the rides. I've always been interested in how rides work. Dude, bobsled coasters are the best because they are so freeform. And they let you slide and things. lol Just so you know, the coaster is called "Bobsleds", but it is NOT a bobsled coaster. The cars run on a tubular steel track. They are themed like bobsleds though.
railcarbuffvlm
Dude, bobsled coasters are the best because they are so freedorm. They let you slide and things. lol Bobsled coasters sound fun to ride. I've never been on one yet, I hope some day I get to. Just so you know, the coaster is called "Bobsleds", but it is NOT a bobsled coaster. The cars run on a tubular steel track. They are themed like bobsleds though. Thank you for the info. I've never seen one in person, seen the track or been on one. I've only been to a few parks and carnivals. I thought bobsleds was like flying turns, a GCI, which is supposed to be a bobsled coaster. Still looks fun though. Forgive me, my typing is not that great. ADMIN EDIT: Combined triple post, quotation and formatting errors. -Colin
Meteornotes
Back from Canada, where I met up with the trip yesterday. It was awesome fun, and I rode Behemoth for an hour straight during night ERT, which was worth the whole trip. Well that, and getting to torture the people at lunch when Robb had me participate in the triva contest (I'm sure many people were demanding refunds at that point, having thought they would be safe from my nonsense). I'm sure everyone had an excellent time at Behemoth Bash. I know I did. I was very excited to see that people are playing and enjoying Elissa Bingo. So much so, that I had to go out and buy more prizes! And I'll have to go get more this week to bring to the East Coast trip, as the prizes I had sent them were to cover both trips! People on the BB/Ravine Flyer trip, you rule. And don't worry, East Coast trip participants, you'll get to enjoy the Dave Experience as well. I'll be at SFGAdv with a special guest... dt
Big Mike
I don't care about any prizes that The Dave Experience buys, he will never top the ultra cool red hat he bought for me on the Europe Trip!!! The Dave Experience rules!!!! Peace, Big Mike

Schmoofy
What day are you guys going to hit Knoebels? I want to try and be down there to hang with the bunch.
Ryancrash
Behemoth Bash was a blast!! It was great to see some familiar faces from the 2008 Europe Tour, and to meet some new folks as well. Thanks to all the awesome people I hung out with, and to Robb and Elissa for another insanely fun TPR experience! (Robb - thanx also for the Behemoth schwag I won by playing dirty in the trivia competition!) Now I'm back in NYC - I was planning to swing down to Coney Island tomorrow to say Hey, but I've got a birthday dinner to attend at the exact same time. Sorry I'll miss you guys! Coney Island's a bit ghetto, but it definitely has its charms. (I still visit every summer.) You probably won't need a whole lot of time there. Some recommendations - get the pistacchio soft serve ice cream! I believe the place is called Denny's - it's on Surf Avenue, a couple blocks west of the Cyclone, south side of the street. If the Freak Show is open, check it out - Coney Island has the last ten-in-one circus sideshow in the country. There are three haunted house dark rides - none are very good, but they're all charming in their own cheesy way (Dante's Inferno is the best of the bunch, Spook-a-rama and Ghost Hole are a bit more ghetto - I usually ride all three). And when you ride the Wonder Wheel, make sure to get in one of the cars that moves back and forth. Eat Nathan's Hot Dogs - there's one on the corner of Surf and Stillwell (which also has seafood - soft shell crab sandwiches, mmm...) and another on the Boardwalk. And once again - PISTACCHIO SOFT SERVE! Have fun! I hope the Cyclone gives you some good rides and doesn't injure anyone too severely. (I still love that coaster...) Wood Dragon 1988
This trip really surpased all my expectations. I know it was a very small trip, but it really was the best vacation of my life. I think I really got a good idea of the "TPR Experience" from the past six days. Had a great time and met some great people, and can't wait till next year! Everything was great, especially the best sauce-based, family theme park in the world.
ms13
Holy freaking crap! I have to say that the last six days have to have been the greatest six days of my life! Everything starting from the power outages, and ending with a crazy puppet show was amazing! Long bus drives were made amazingly fun by great people, and I most certainly met some great people on this trip! And I will never listen to Tainted Love the same way again! Seriously, every expatiation I had was extremely blown away! Ravine Flyer in the pitch dark, and thunderstorm, is the craziest coaster ride I have ever had! Thanks for everything guys, and cant wait for future trips! I'll be starting a photo TR soon! PS- ERT on the sauce factory ride was awesome! All Clear
I'm gutted that I only did the add-on and was unable to continue on to the main trip. I have no words to describe the experience. Mainly because I seem to have forgotten most of the words I ever knew, probably as a result of riding Time Warp. The bottom line is, if you're not going TPR style, you're not totally going. I met some fantastic people and rode some amazing coasters. I also rode some dreadful coasters, but the people even made those fun. Highlights include, but are not limited to: 1. Random power outage 2. Ravine Flyer II in a thunderstorm at night on fire* 3. The 'Tainted Love' Caterpillar ride 4. SAUCE 5. The Puppet Show Now to start plotting to finance my next TPR trip... *Ok, it wasn't on fire.

dandaman
I have no words to describe the experience. Mainly because I seem to have forgotten most of the words I ever knew, probably as a result of riding Time Warp. Riding with Elissa and (I think Dave?) just before morning ERT ended, I can, in fact, recall a few choice words as a result of riding Time Warp... Dan "This lift is the best part of the ride..." Wood Dragon 1988
3. The 'Tainted Love' Caterpillar ride I'm bummed that I only got to experience the "nameless rap song" Caterpillar and not the Tainted Love version. That would have seriously rocked. Fry
I also rode some dreadful coasters, but the people even made those fun. Haha, dude, Leap the Dips is going down in history as my worst coaster ride EVER. Every time someone even mentions it my back start to hurt. BUT, it was hilarious and I wouldn't have had my 250th spent any other way. And the Toboggan, haha! Something tells me shakes over scary psycho flat saved us and our backs that day! 1. Random power outage2. Ravine Flyer II in a thunderstorm at night on fire* 3. The 'Tainted Love' Caterpillar ride 4. SAUCE 5. The Puppet Show 6. Rolo says "No Hats" and asks "Does this get you wet?" Aww, dude, you're being missed on East Coast a lot. And basically, the Behemoth trip was freakin' UNBELIEVABLE! I've hands down never hurt from laughing so much as I did those few days, and must echo what everyone else has said (as long as it was positive). RFII was the ride highlight, with Behemoth just behind, but it was everything else that made the trip. I mainly think it was the SAUCE. And Trevor! FUNNIEST SHOW EVER! Leading to possibly my favourite photo of the trip... Hahahaha! Trevor, woo!
