  1. Hey everyone I would like to share my photos from a very fun day/night at Hershey's Christmas Candyland with a bunch of friends. Enjoy! On the way there, we saw this sign on a bus that I really liked so we attempted at getting a picture of it... We are here!!!! We arrived a little before the park opened to get some snapshots from the road by Lightning Racers. GCI sexiness My friend Kina and me Storm Runner!!! Gotta love the street lights Great Bear from... outside of the park No way, Dunkin Donuts! Entering the park Oooo lights Now this is what I was looking forward to ride Waiting in line for the Reeses Peanut Butter Cup Extreme Challenge ride, which is where we met up with Dan, Bubba, and Hannah. And yes, they are twins. Kana is on the left, Kina on the right Storm Runner. Man it was killing me not being able to ride... This was the first time I saw Fahrenheit in person You probably can't see it, but this is the Kissing Tower. Notice the lights at the top. We met up with Matt here. Fun on the Kissing Tower I don't know if Matt and Dan were having as much fun. you decide... Hannah and Bubba riding the cars Dan's up next Asian Persuasion Getting on the slide. Bubba snuck in this picture :o Obviously, we are coaster enthusiasts... Look who got stuck on the Comet More lights T!ts Awesome!!!! Me licking the t!ts Walking out of the park Bye Hershey Park! Next, we all met up at Sonic to grab a bite to eat! When we got back home, Kana and I turn around to find Kina passed out in the back seat. Thanks for reading!
  2. Wow the park looks beautiful. The setting around main street is absolutely gorgeous.
  3. Great updates Adam! What did you guys have to do to get the intamin wheel? Adam, this is going to make you really jealous, but I rode Boulder Dash 70 times yesterday! The park was completely empty due to the terrible weather forecasted, which didn't arrive until around 4 or 5 in the afternoon.
  4. Hey guys. Here is my brand new video. All the footage was taken the day that this trip report is about. Enjoy and let me know what you think. http://xtremecoasters.com/index.php?act=watchVideo&id=48
  5. Nice work with another great park report. Ravine Flyer II ERT was my most memorable part of the trip, and one of my most memorable roller coaster riding experiences I have ever experienced. It was definitely the most intense and insane coaster riding I have ever experienced and will be close to impossible to beat. What an amazing night. Oh yea, I probably haven't posted it 5 times somewhere on the forums already, but Ravine Flyer II is my new number 1 wooden coaster.
  6. Wow Adam! Awesome job so far. You must put a lot of time in to get all the pictures together and to write such detailed reviews. I am excited to see the rest of your trip report, especially of Waldameer, home of my number 1 wooden coaster, Ravine Flyer II!
  7. Great photo trip report! Ravine Flyer II is also my number 1 wooden coaster. It's just that awesome. I love how the ride just throws you around and is gives you that out of control feeling. I've been a hardcore El Toro fan for a while, but Ravine Flyer II is just that amazing that it beat El Toro for my number 1 wooden spot. I also love how the tunnels are so loud, especially the one at the bottom of the first drop. I freakin love this coaster!
  8. Nighttime ERT on Ravine Flyer II in the thunder storm was awesome! Best coaster riding ever!
  9. Yesterday, August 19th, my friend Jenna and I took our first trip to Lake Compounce. Boulder Dash was running a little slow in the morning, so my two morning rides did not live up to the hype I've been hearing. Later on in the day, man did that ride deliver. My number one wooden coaster is still Ravine Flyer II without a doubt, but after my evening rides on Boulder Dash, I can safely say that it is tied right now with El Toro for my number two wooden coaster. Here's a quick list of what we rode: Boulder Dash x5 Wildcat x2 Zoomerang x2 Down Time x1 Thunder N' Lightning x2 American Flyers x1 Wave Swinger x2 Rotor x2 Saw Mill Plunge x1 Ferris Wheel x1 Ghost Hunt x2 Twister x1 Enterprise x1 Sky Ride x1 We were the first ones in the station, even before the ride ops! Here I am all ready to ride Boulder Dash for my first time. Some of the new bracing that was added this past off-season. No love for the green train today. Noted! This enterprise was really intense. Once the ride starts, you basically do two rotations or so before the ride starts to move into its vertical position, making the cars swing A LOT. (Notice the cars in all different positions) Sweet setting for a pirate ship ride. This shooting dark ride was actually really fun - fun enough to get me on it twice! Skyha… I mean Thunder N’ Lightning Here is a little bit of themeing for Thunder N” Lightning. When we first came across this, I actually thought there was a real person inside providing weather status for the park. Jenna was really happy that the soft drinks were FREE! Rotor! I was the youngest one on the ride both times I rode it. Here is a close up of me before I knew the floor was going to drop about 3 feet, opposed to 3 inches like the one I rode at Great Adventure when I was younger. The main reason we came here. Wildcat was actually so smooth that it surprised me. Cool picture of Down Time. Dummy party! Nice setting for the water park section. Here I am getting a drink. Did I mention they are FREE!? I will leave you with a few more pictures of Boulder Dash. I wonder why they call it BOULDER Dash… This shot courtesy of Jenna. Thanks for reading!
  10. Hmm very interesting topic. I would definitely count Steel Hawg's first drop as a drop and most definitely not an inversion. As for V2:Vertical Velocity, I would say that is an inversion because the rides are being completely flipped upside down 360 degrees, as well as for inclined loops. What I think is questionable are elements like the one after Silver Bullet's vertical loop and elements like Black Mamba's "Jr." Immelmann. It's a very controversial subject matter. I would say it should be up to the designer whether or not he/she wants to classify the element as an inversion or not.
  11. ^Yup I see that now. I thought it was Pandemonium at SFNE, but I really couldn't tell since the picture is kind of small. Great work!
  12. ^Hahaha yes that's a great picture! The one after it kept me laughing.
  13. Dude that is freakin insane! Awesome work! Let's see, I spot Dominator (Geauga Lake/Kings Dominion) (actually just went on it today!), Batman: The Ride, Fahrenheit, maybe a Backlot Stunt Coaster, and not to sure what the wooden one is in the back. Is it Grizzly (Kings Dominion) or Wild Beast (Canada's Wonderland)?
  14. This last update makes me sad. Your trip report was a good taste of reliving the trip, but now even the photo trip report "trip" is over. =( Thanks for putting this trip report together Matt! It was awesome to see pictures of the greatest 5 days ever from another person's point of view. TPR trips are truly as good as they seem in pictures- actually, even better! The best way to visit a theme/amusement park is with a group of TPRers on a TPR trip. You meet awesome people, you get awesome park perks, you get crazy ERT sessions, oh yea, and you ride A LOT of great coasters! Thanks for everything Robb and Elissa. Can't wait to see everybody again on a trip next year!
  15. Ravine Flyer II ERT=best roller coaster riding experience of my life! It will be tough to beat the insanity of that ERT session! Great pictures and videos Erik. It is kind of sad to watch the videos because it makes me wish we were still on the trip, but at the same time, it's awesome because it is like reliving the greatest 5 days ever. Thanks for all your work putting these videos together. It is very much appreciated.
  16. Holy sh!t. Night time ERT in the pouring rain with lightning and thunder on Ravine Flyer II was the craziest and most fun experience ever! Simply insane and incredible. What an AWESOME night! Ravine Flyer II was completely out of control. It is probably my number one wooden coaster right now- yes, beating one of my favorites, El Toro. There are no words to describe those ERT rides on Ravine Flyer II. Best ERT session I have ever experienced!
  17. Awesome pictures Natalie! I had the time of my life on this trip. I can't wait to go on another TPR trip. There is no better way to enjoy an amusement park than with Robb and Elissa and a whole group of TPR's! By the way, do a lot of cameras have that slow shutter speed capability.?Or can you only do it with one of those Digital SLR cameras?
  18. ^hahah. Yup they were really there. Josh pointed them out to me when we were getting on a ride and called them ninjas, so being as gullible as I am, I thought they were kids wearing ninja costumes, not even thinking it was a religious outfit. These "ninjas" were all over the park. There had to be over 10 of them.
  19. Silver Comet was awesome! Truthfully, I didn't even know the Silver Comet existed before I signed up for the trip. After I looked at where we would be going on the trip, I found out about this unknown woodie. The Silver Comet really impressed me. It had some nice airtime and had great pacing. It is really an unknown, underrated, world-class wooden coaster. It is definitely in my top 10 wooden coasters. Night time ERT on the Silver Comet was a lot of fun. The ride ops. were extremely friendly and interactive with us and even let the train roll through the station after our last ride for one more extra run! It was a great way to end a great day.
  20. Can someone post a picture of Darien Lake's enterprise? I remember looking at it and realized that it seemed a bit smaller than the common enterprise, but I never got a chance to get close to it to get a good look. *edit- nevermind about the picture, I found one
  21. I wish I joined you guys on your enterprise ride. I wanted to ride it, but I never got a chance to that day.
