CoasterLine
I couldn't make the full trip, but coincidentally I ended up being at Waldameer (home park) anyways the day that TPR was there... Thanks to Robb again for the TPR band and ERT time... it was the most unbelievable experience riding in the blinding rain, thunder, and lightning. It was so unbelievably fun and insane. It was cool to meet a lot of you, and to leave it with one thing. I'm only happy when it rains... Thanks for day Robb!

MixedDrink
Mods, I apologize if I'm missing something here, but the Hoffman Girl's "stalker" has nothing on this guy. What about mine? She's asian and is at CW everyday (except for Behemoth Bash ! Yay!) I've been there so far this season.
TheRapidsNerd
^^ Jeff that's awesome! Glad you said it since you have more clout in this merry band of enthusiasts than many of us. Was wondering same, but didn't want to create a problem by asking, kidding or otherwise. Looking forward to all the stories and pics when everybody get's back safe. No doubt, this will be epic. Oh, and what's the the deal with "The Sauce" or "Sauce Factory? Well, somebody has to ask! Cheers and best to all on the trip.
OldJJman
I like your creative use of umm, resources? Actually, I just copied a picture from the photoshop contest that happened during the Spain trip last year. Oh, and what's the the deal with "The Sauce" or "Sauce Factory? I have NO idea! But I'm looking forward to it like everyone else!! JJ
MixedDrink
^No I understand how you did it, it was just humorous.
dandaman
Hey Jeff, The thought struck me on "The Fly" at Behemoth Bash... if we substitute your name into any John McCain joke, it'll work 90% of the time every time! EDIT: As far as DelGrosso's goes, we can see that the food division comes before the park "thanks to the World Wide Web"! http://www.delgrossos.com/
MixedDrink
Speaking of The Fly, did everyone have a fun time at the TPR takeover of the Multi-Faith room?
dandaman
I actually only got there just as the (exclusive!) group was leaving. It seriously looked like an employee entrance with the nondescript door... is it even on the map? In the same vein, it amazed me just how much of a 'melting pot' CW is. I remember on Sunday hanging out by the boat splash and seeing people of all faiths laughing their heads off with each other on the bridge; it was a great thing in its own little way! MixedDrink
^ CW seems to bring people together a lot. I once got into kind of a fight with a couple of friends, and they were at CW a day I went. Low and behold, no more fighting!
robbalvey
Sorry for the delay on updates. Day 2, Part 1 – Darien Lake Announcing a brand new TPR trip wristband color….HOT PINK! (The panthers should be happy!) While yes we know that Moto Coaster is the parks big new attraction, Supe….um….Ride of Steel is still the star of the show! Superman? I don’t see Superman anywhere around here… Mmmm….Intamin sexiness! How does an hour of airtime filled Intamin ERT sound to you guys? The Intamin airtime gods have spoken! Ejector airtime all the way into the final brake run. In previous years, Darien Lake’s “Ride of Steel” was the least favorite out of the three, but this year, man it was really hauling ass! There was some serious airtime all over this sucker! Oh, yeah, there was also some ERT on Predator! “Hold on to your boobs because this here is the wildest ride in the wilderness!” Moto Coaster was the sexy new ride for 2008. Fun ride…definitely more for families, however it has a fairly high height restriction which may make it difficult for families to ride together. The best part of the ride though is that TPR’s own Bruno is on the cover of the park map! He’s doing his popular “thumbs up ” pose. HI BRUNO!!! Ahh, Viper is next…and that’s going to make one person VERY happy… Jahan, you have a choice – Arrow coaster or the girls. You decide! He chose Viper….yup! We found out that Bethany is actually a transformer and on this trip she has taken the form of a cute teddy bear. Weird, huh? “Old and Stupid” Yup, we have some Vekoma rides to do next… I pray to Buddha that the boomerang will not crush my skull! “I GOT VEKOMA SPOOGED!!!” Theme Park Review + Intamin = better than anything on YouPorn! Robb! DO NOT EAT THE VEKOMA SPOOGE!!! “Banger” or “Ranger”….you decide! “Um, excuse me, but is all the padding really necessary?” OMG! It IS the banana boat looping starship from Roller Coaster Tycoon! To continue our tour of “Flat rides that look like other things” we have the “UFO” Please! NO ANEURYSM!!! Tyler does his impression of “When I worked at Cedar Point.” Here is Tyler working at Camp Snoopy after being told he was hired for Top Thrill Dragster. Here is Tyler walking off the job 30 seconds later…. Don’t even THINK about taking my stuffed animals away! Yup, we still have the Vekoma SLC credit to get…. Beer is the perfect cure for an SLC headache. Hmm…I wonder if he’s going to eat that….” BALLS ON FACE!!! “Hi, my name is Jahan and I’m going to be your bag bitch for the day…” OMG! I’m riding with Matt Damon!!! We had an AWESOME day at Darien Lake! It’s so nice to see this park improving after it’s been sold off from Six Flags. “There is nothing to see here….please move along….”

Millennium Force 44
Thanks for another great update! I really enjoyed Darien Lake. I was very impressed with the park. It was really clean and nicely landscaped. Thanks Darien Lake for surprising us with the ride-exit passes and the on-ride photos! Out of the two (superman) Ride Of Steels that I have been on, I can honestly say that Darien Lake's version, compared to Six Flags New England's version, has a better first drop. TheRapidsNerd
Rich, thanks for the humorous Sauce story. I can rest easier now. Sorry for the delay on updates (Cringe) Man, I feel all bad now....Well hey, you are on vacation after all, but we miss you all, so thank you from the bottom of our vicarious hearts. No more b*$#*ing from the mullet brigade. Jahan's choice and Tyler's impression were great, however, Jahan, while I share the Arrow and frozen coke love, we must talk about your priorities. Happy riding everybody! EDIT: (Raises eyebrow at the last picture.) Uh-oh, here comes the speculation storm....
307
I actually only got there just as the (exclusive!) group was leaving. It seriously looked like an employee entrance with the nondescript door... is it even on the map? In the same vein, it amazed me just how much of a 'melting pot' CW is. I remember on Sunday hanging out by the boat splash and seeing people of all faiths laughing their heads off with each other on the bridge; it was a great thing in its own little way! It's not on the map. I checked Just a very weird space. But I think it's been used fairly frequently, judging from the odd smell of feet that permeates the air, and the arrangement of the carpets in the rooms. I think Robb has some exclusive Multi-Faith Space POV from his trip up here in May.
dandaman
Much like any Arrow looper, Diablo's eyes are totally burrowing into Jahan's skull. Great update, Robb!
Zen Coaster
Hmm. Well, the one at Darien Lake became my #1 -- until I did the New England version, mind you, which replaced it. I refuse to include more than one instance of a coaster in my ranking just now. Coaster Survivor ... It's All About The Sauce! Great update, I'd love a higher-res version of me on RoS. We really do need to sit around the lobby this time, missed that happening on the Behemoth trip. Or maybe setup base camp next to the vending machines Seabreeze and DL were fantastic parks and a pretty gentle introduction to the mini-trip. They looked after us well. TheRapidsNerd
One more thing, Diablo, being the forward thinker and expert planner she is, actually captioned the following photo from her Magic Mountain TR/Tatsu ride. simlesa
East Coast - Day 2 Day 2 was Six Flags New England, Quassy and Lake Compounce. --Luko The "surprise" ERT of the night - kiddie coaster at Lake Compounce ...followed by some rain. thrillgeek
^OMG some serious credit whores! Lol thanks for the updates. And don't worry about the delay. simlesa
East Coast - Day 3 More Six Flags New England followed by a surprise park (Rye Playland). --Luko Superflight at Rye: Can anyone say Zamperla Volare? Damn, those height limits. Mouse coaster at Rye: Denied! Q-bot: "You want to reserve a boomerang? Are you insane?" Anyone needs a statue credit? Superman: Ride of Steel ERT was awesome! ginzo
That was amazing and Ride Of Steel must kick a$$! Is it better than Expedition Geforce? Well, I guess if you're the type that prefers two big helices over airtime and great laterals, then maybe yes. But, otherwise nope. Also, EGF has much, much better restraints than Ride of Steel (Darien Lake) does.
