PhantomNick
El Loco looks like a sweet coaster with some awesome elements! The hangtime looks pretty sick too. Definitely need to hit up the dome the next time we venture out to Vegas!! (I'm missing the Canyon Blaster credit as well.....it was closed the week we were there in 2012). Nrthwnd
Love this particular shot. Twisty everywhere, LOL! And I really really REALLY want one of these in my home park! Playland are you listening??? I love all the track mixed in there. Like a bowl of spaghetti.
sonofrollercoasters
John is very right. The pictures Don't show the real depth and reality of how big that ride really is. When i got there, I was about to chicken out because it was SOOOOOOOOOO Big! you have to go in order to realize it.
GrapesLie
I may be going out to Vegas for a business conference in April and I will definitely get out there to ride this thing! It looks amazing!
adamd
Went on today. What a FUN coaster. The drop is easily the best part of the ride and the twists throughout make it a very fun ride. The last inversion is crazy it seems like your hanging upside down forever. Well worth the $10 to ride! Every park that has a boomerang should replace it with a ride like this! Ride is very smooth and there are some serious moments of airtime. Huge winner here! Double0Kevin
I'm thinking of hitting the dome on Sunday or Monday to get more rides in, if anyone in the area would like to meet up.

What Now
I was there today, but I'd be willing to go again tomorrow. El Loco is awesome, btw. It's kinda like a mouse on crack.
mmkaycomputer
I'm late to post this, but I covered the EL Loco media event for my publication (Las Vegas Weekly) on Tuesday with my boyfriend and we had a blast. Thanks to the super-short line, we rode it three times and loved each trip. There are few things more gratifying than leaving the office early to ride and report on (actually, review) a new roller coaster. We also met John (Mr. Stratosphere) and Seth from Orlando, who were both really nice. I just noticed above that John snapped a photo of my BF and I in the front row going over the first drop on El Loco (the last of that series of rider/drop shots). I know you didn't shoot it for us, John, but thanks anyway -- it was fun to discover it!
rctneil
I'm really glad that this ride is creating positive reviews. It does look great and i'm sure it fits in really well at the Adventuredome. I'd love to get back to Vegas sometime and am bound to I guess. It's nice to see a new coaster in Vegas to take over the loss of Speed.

It's nice to see a new coaster in Vegas to take over the loss of Speed. I was just about to say the same thing. Its great to hear nothing but positive reviews for the coaster. Perhaps other small parks will add a few of these after hearing the reviews. It's to bad no one was able to put Speed back together but this coaster definitely helps ease that loss. GreatAmericanCoaster
I went to the Adventuredome on Saturday. I started the drive near SFMM at 5 in morning. This picture was about...well the middle of nowhere. There's Desperado. Didn't do this coaster, beause it was like 9 in the morning. Is it just me or does that Ferris Wheel look tiny! As soon as we arrived a German guy who spoke little english was trying to get directions to LA. His navigation system of coarse was in German. Look it's the Fright Dome car! I heard on this thread that it looks bigger in person. To me it's tiny. If you'd guess I have the opposite of a fear of hights. I have a fear of not being high off the ground. Loco Time! It always makes a clanking noise going over the last inversion. This is the small station use to be used by Rim Runner. I thought the logo was painted on? Hey Dummy! The lines did get long, like 25 mins. I'll post part ll later today. It will include Manhattan Express and the LINQ.
GreatAmericanCoaster
Adventuredome and Vegas Trip Report 2/22/14 Part ll Best Part of EL Loco Rim Runner! There is a lot of that ride left over! This what the under side of an EL Loco car looks like! Trick Track! What a weird element. Time to get away from EL Loco. Spongebob 4-D is really good, but I do prefer the old Spongebob one to the new one. Chaos is still awesome and always will be! I love these rides. Why did all the other parks get rid of them, but Adventuredome? I mean I know they had problems, but why didn't Adventuredome get rid of theirs? Rim Runner again. I forgot to take a picture of Canyon Blaster. So this was the best of that ride in picture form. Out of the dome to go to NYNY. We parked by the LINQ. (Bad idea)! Like I said bad idea, because the sidewalks in Vegas on a Saturday night are packed! It took almost 30 mins to there from LINQ! Hated Manhattan Express! It was my first TOGO coaster even redone by Premier and it was still bad! Why does it still have those weird Shoulder bars? And they have a dumb policy. If they see a phone or camera out in line it has to go in a locker. They won't even let put it in your pocket! If my cam and cell has survived Green Lantern: First Flight, Magnum XL-200, and EL Loco it could survive this! That's it for the Adventuredome. Oh on the way back I saw the supports for SFMM's new Hot Rod Racers coaster. The supports were black. Didn't get a pic because my camera was in the back of the car. singemfrc
Re: NYNY's policy about cameras and phones on Manhattan Express, I don't think they're concerned with you dropping it so much as they are concerned about making money from their photos. Obviously if you're taking your own you are less likely to buy theirs. I'm sure they'd search you if they could, but they know they can't so as soon as they see the phone they demand it be locked up. Yeah, I wasn't aware of it before I went there. They caught me taking a picture of the train in the station and went ballistic about my phone and demanded that I put it in a locker. Wow, I have never seen any place so strict on cameras/phones.

It might be because they take you picture, but who really buys them? At least they do pay the locker fee for you. I think that they think it come out of pocket, because I already took a picture and I was about to get on the ride.
