YoshiCraft2011
Hi! I just want to ask a simple question. Is the $30 unlimited ride wristband worth it? Or is just paying for the rides I want better? I am pressuring my parents to take me to the Adventuredome someday, and since TPR is a simply awesome website, I want to ask you guys first. If you plan on riding more than 3 times total on the 2 roller coasters, then its worth it right there cause theyre $10 per ride. Youll probably want to ride both and I'm guessing you'll want to ride El Loco more than once cause it's awesome. (Also it's so smooth you could ride it over and over all day) Get the wristband! YoshiCraft2011
Thanks for the tip! My parents don't want me to go because it's "too expensive", but hey. It's only a local park and it seems like there's some cool rides there.
singemfrc
Thanks for the tip! My parents don't want me to go because it's "too expensive", but hey. It's only a local park and it seems like there's some cool rides there. Its not a bad deal. If you think about any Six Flags or Cedar Fair park you're probably going to pay twice that for admission, so as long as you do more than a couple rides its well worth it. And unlike those parks, if you just want to ride one or two things and leave, you can just purchase individual tickets and it costs less. When I was there the other day all I did was 3 rides on Canyon Blaster and 4 rides on El Loco. That would have been $70 worth of tickets, so I got the $30 wristband. rcjp
Don't know if this has been mentioned (probably it has so sorry) but when did they install drive tires on the upside down section of the last dive loop? I assume they're there to prevent the ride from stalling.
JeromyL
I would say within the first two weeks I think. They were not there media day. But showed up the second time I was there.

thrillseeker4552
I don't know where else to post this, but I think we've hit a new low. Manhattan Express aka "Roller Coaster" is now called the Big Apple Coaster. http://rcdb.com/139.htm I thought "Roller Coaster" was a bad name, but this one...wow. Mr Stratosphere
Anyone know what sections are being replaced? They normally have to replace the track after the second loop every few years, there is a lot of force where you get the ejector air at the turnaround before the corkscrews. On another note, did anyone attend Fright Dome this year? I found it to be the best Fright Dome in years. It was a great time!

DJeXeL
I'm on my way to Vegas for the SEMA show. I plan on stopping into the park to get a ride on El Loco. How much is it?
Xmeister
^Ten dollars for each individual ride on Canyon Blaster or El Loco. If you plan on riding more than that I'd go for the wristband which is 29.95 for everyone above 48".

alilstronger
I'll be heading to the park in about 3 weeks finally! My BF will be with me but he does not ride any rides so I am at it alone unless someone wants to meet up. El Loco looks awesome and I am excited they have a Chaos! I plan on buying the ride all day to get many rides on both coasters as well as rides all of the flats. Does anyone know if their Chaos requires two people to ride? I think I remember going to a carnival once and they said no single riders.

alilstronger
Awesome! We will be there from November 26-29. I'll also be going to the Stratosphere to ride all of the rides there and to NY, NY to ride the one there.

YoshiCraft2011
All right! My family will be going to the Adventuredome this Saturday, and I need a little bit of help. Here's the schedule. I believe that we will arrive at the park at around three, and we have a reservation at a restaurant at the Fashion Show Mall at 7 PM. This will give me around three hours. Is this sufficient? I want to ride El Loco, Canyon Blaster, and some of the flats, so what rides should I prioritize? How should I spend my time? Now, I'm just going to give a few more details. -Although this is my home park, I probably will not be able to come back in a few years. For some reason, my family really loves to go to Knott's every summer (which is totally fine), and they don't want my sister and I to "waste" money. -The main reason for this visit is to experience some new rides, like El Loco. I will be taking some pictures and try to "embrace" the park, but it's rides first, environment second. -My sister and I will have a full day wristband, while my parents will just do nothing. -Keep in mind that this is my first time visiting this park in years, and I barely remember a thing about this park. Any help is appreciated, even the useless advice.
