christianscoasters Posted June 6, 2008 Posted June 6, 2008 Quit stealin meh words! That made me giggle. But he did steal my words
coasterguy618 Posted June 8, 2008 Posted June 8, 2008 Hope they fix the station stop, it stopped so fast it looked like it hurl you forward into the bar and cause internal bleeding. Man I wish on Gwazi they had those trains, and maybe a complete demolition and a rebuild of a better than Voyage and El Toro put together kinda ride.
timetrial3141592 Posted June 8, 2008 Posted June 8, 2008 Okay. I have a half hour and a lot of things to get off my chest, so here goes. Why is it that nobody can spell these days? My teachers have committed such atrocities as "Dr. Jeckyl" (wince) and "Appolo" (double wince). Kids can't spell either. I hate that. Furthermore, people who know nothing about what they are talking about but talk about it anyway really tick me off. If I have to sit through one more lecture about how Eragon is exactly the same as Lord of the Rings, I will get violent. Speaking of which, Eragon is NOT a ripoff of LOTR and Star Wars. All three are trilogies based on the Hero's Journey. If that makes them the same, then all three are ripoffs of The Odyssey, by Homer. Also, the movie will be crap. A $125 million budget is not going to do the book justice. But at least it will be quality crap, unlike Saw III, which I will not see because I feel that any movie that would be stocked on the same shelf as The Slumber Party Massacre II is crap and should be burned. We don't need a 90-minute gorefest. We need creativity. Hollywood creativity is dead. As is Six Flags. Six Flags deserves to be bought by Cedar Fair. Then we would pay less. On that note, why is it that people pay more for stuff just because of a label? Is America that stupid? Apparently so, because designer clothes sell. And crappy games sell. For every Myst there are 20 games where the objective is to kill everyone. Why is this? Is there some need for violence? It does not teach violence. Which brings me to another point. Video games are not all violent. Which games sell really well? SimCity. RCT. Myst. Meteos. Mario Kart. Why? They're fun. They don't rot your brain, they focus it. I focus on RCT2 and I have an IQ of above 150. Coincidence? Probably. But that's not the point. The point is that people are morons and most believe anything. Anyway, my Honors class assigns more work than my two Accelerated classes and my AP class put together, and the year is based on "what it means to be human." I am not human. I am a dragon. But my teacher doesn't care. I gotta go now. Now, if I remember correctly, that was posted in the "rants" thread. It was a rant. Wes blew it out of proportion.
ConleyKE Posted June 9, 2008 Posted June 9, 2008 I just think that The Enchanted Tiki Room is a somewhat important ride, and I don't think it should be messed with.
astroworldfan1 Posted June 9, 2008 Posted June 9, 2008 My god Schwarzkopf coasters are the most overrated rides of all time.
the sound Posted June 9, 2008 Posted June 9, 2008 ^ I don't get why that's so dumb... it was just that guy's opinion.
astroworldfan1 Posted June 9, 2008 Posted June 9, 2008 It's like saying Schwarzkopf coasters are not as good as people say they are. We all know that's not the truth. Schwarzkopf coasters are never overrated. Sometimes, they're underrated. All Schwarzkopf coasters are great. Ask any coaster enthusiast and ask them if Schwarzkopf coasters are overrated. I guess it's his opinon, but everyone on TPR loves Schwarzkopf coasters. -Tatum "Never in a million years would think I hear someone say Schwarzkopf coasters are overrated"
Wes Posted June 9, 2008 Posted June 9, 2008 ^ No, that's still an opinion. People are allowed to dislike whatever they want, be it a Schwarzkopf coaster, El Toro, baby kittens... even Prince! I honestly do think they are a tad overrated, I like the ones that run well, but I don't quite feel the level of love they tend to get here.
Swimace Posted June 9, 2008 Posted June 9, 2008 I guess it's his opinon, but everyone on TPR loves Schwarzkopf coasters. ...and yet oddly enough he's on TPR. That's strange.... Just because it's you disagree with his opinion doesn't mean it was a stupid thing to say. It's like saying Schwarzkopf coasters are not as good as people say they are. We all know that's not the truth. Schwarzkopf coasters are never overrated. Sometimes, they're underrated. All Schwarzkopf coasters are great. I personally think your post was way more worthy of being mentioned in this topic than someone who feels like Schwarzkopf is overrated. Have you been on every single Schwarzkopf? Have you asked every single member of the site for their opinion on Schwarzkopf coasters? If not then your argument is pretty weak to say the least.
DBru Posted June 9, 2008 Posted June 9, 2008 Schwarzkopf coasters are never overrated. Sometimes, they're underrated. All Schwarzkopf coasters are great. Ask any coaster enthusiast and ask them if Schwarzkopf coasters are overrated. I guess it's his opinon, but everyone on TPR loves Schwarzkopf coasters. Did you not see this coming, Tatum?
ginzo Posted June 10, 2008 Posted June 10, 2008 I honestly do think they are a tad overrated, I like the ones that run well, but I don't quite feel the level of love they tend to get here. They're all about the high force vertical loops with no OTSRs. Pretty damn powerful statement considering that Intamin has taken to putting their crappy OTSRs on non-inverting coasters now. Also, some of them were remarkably well made: Mind Bender tracks smoother than a lot of steel coasters from the 90s.
haux Posted July 24, 2008 Posted July 24, 2008 I got laid off from my job, but they just re-hired me back within a week starting me part time for now until August. In September I will go back to full time like before. I have been there a year so the question is will I continue with my vacation benefits since this year -July I'm using my 5?- so next year I will get 10? I hope I don't have to start over back at 5 for next year. Great idea there, sport. Ask a theme park forum about your job instead of your human resources department.
mcjaco Posted July 24, 2008 Posted July 24, 2008 ^ Although I agree that's it kind of silly to ask such questions here, I wouldn't call it stupid. The question is relevant, the place where it was asked is not.
Kalepi_Konei Posted July 24, 2008 Posted July 24, 2008 Hope they fix the station stop, it stopped so fast it looked like it hurl you forward into the bar and cause internal bleeding. Man I wish on Gwazi they had those trains, and maybe a complete demolition and a rebuild of a better than Voyage and El Toro put together kinda ride. I defend myself on this by saying, it was a video, and it looked like it stopped really fast in the station, and it reminded me of Mummy (USF) fake-station stop, that really hurts because it does hurl you forward, as for the other stuff I cant even remember what it was about.
natatomic Posted August 24, 2008 Posted August 24, 2008 His response to the news that Orlando was getting N. America's first Great Wheel: Do you know if they are moving the one in London to here, or just building a new one???
Kalepi_Konei Posted August 24, 2008 Posted August 24, 2008 ^ I think there were some rumors going around that we would get London's Big Eye, but whoever made it up is just stupid.
DBru Posted September 8, 2008 Posted September 8, 2008 I'm sure you know that "Paramounts" has relation with nickelodeon.Nickalodeon & Paramounts are just like 2nd cousins or somthin' L.M.A.O.
Bucket Posted September 8, 2008 Posted September 8, 2008 Not to be rude, but being gay is just gross. I mean, I don't have a problem with the lifestyle (I have many gay friends) but the thought of it disgusts me. How can lesbians even have sex? They can't! And taking it up the bum doesn't qualify as sex, sorry guys.
supertrooper Posted September 8, 2008 Posted September 8, 2008 Not to be rude, but being gay is just gross. I mean, I don't have a problem with the lifestyle (I have many gay friends) but the thought of it disgusts me. How can lesbians even have sex? They can't! terrancew_hod Posted September 8, 2008 Posted September 8, 2008 How can lesbians even have sex? They can't! Well I guess a lot of straight guys buy those girl-on-girl videos to see girls not have sex. Guess they're wasting their money, huh? (Too bad I can't answer this question like I want to; may have to open my forum back up and tell it like it 'tis) And taking it up the bum doesn't qualify as sex, sorry guys. Who is this person and how old is he? Doesn't sound like he knows much about sex to make these opinions! I mean when you see a girl do it on film (and TRUST won't be that hard to find a video), get back to us! Terry "Have too many friends in the Sex industry to be this innocent" Weaver
Homer Posted September 8, 2008 Posted September 8, 2008 How can lesbians even have sex? They can't! Well I guess a lot of straight guys buy those girl-on-girl videos to see girls not have sex. Guess they're wasting their money, huh? (Too bad I can't answer this question like I want to; may have to open my forum back up and tell it like it 'tis) Obviously this guy never saw the D'Yikes! episode of South Park... Scissor me timbers!
terrancew_hod Posted September 9, 2008 Posted September 9, 2008 ^You know that was one of my thoughts as I was writing my post! And that line was one of my favorite South Park lines. I spit out my Crystal Light when I first heard it! Terry "May have to ask my Lesbian friends if they scissor" Weaver
BeemerBoy Posted September 9, 2008 Posted September 9, 2008 1. Remove all baby coasters2. Remove Height requirements under 48 inches 3. Remove all kids areas and games 4. Remove budgets on kids areas. I don't like seeing those little kids thinking there all that just because they can ride the airplanes or the little cars. Its annoying! Its better off that parks are only meant for thrill seekers in my opinion, but this will not happen because every park needs at least one ride a 1yr old can ride. Yep, that's legendary alright.
terrancew_hod Posted September 9, 2008 Posted September 9, 2008 ^ there all that He means "they're" right? Just remember: if you're trying to break someone off, get that grammar correct so you don't break yourself off! No rides for him; back to English class! Terry
ebl Posted September 9, 2008 Posted September 9, 2008 ^ A good percentage of the people on this forum would benefit from some time in an English class. Eric
