p. 393 - 70th Anniversary events and lineup announced!

Looks great, glad to see the ride back in action. I'll be going on the 30th.

Question, has anybody done the Fantasmic dessert package? I am trying to decide between doing Carthay Circle or the Fantasmic dessert package for that night. Thanks!

I have done it once and know several people who have. It's a fun way to watch the show. An assorted dessert box and a hot beverage. And no fighting for a spot to see the show. But I love Carthay. It's really what interests you more: A good meal, or a good seat.

And the important question:

Is this counted as a new credit or not?

I say to each their own! But I say yes, I counted Space Mountain as two different credits, before and after the re-track.

If you want to count it, count it! If not, don't! I don't really see the big deal either way!

Looking forward to riding it again, everyone has been saying it's butter smooth!

I'm also going to count it as a new credit because that was the precedent I set for myself when Space Mountain had its makeover. Since the entire track was replaced as opposed to just sections, I would call it a new coaster. Whereas something like Matterhorn getting only a few sections of track replaced here and there every few years is not what I'd call a new credit (though I'm betting that the entire original track has been slowly replaced over the past roughly 55 years).

But I agree- let those who want to count it, count it! And those who don't- let it go (let it go, can't hold it back anymore...)!

Wow, those effects on the third lift hill look great. I can't wait until I get a chance to ride this in a couple weeks. It's been too long (last rode BTMR in September/October 2012 despite being an AP).

If you would count Space Mountain as a new credit, you should count Thunder Mountain as one too. If you wouldn't count Space Mountain again, don't recount Thunder Mountain. As for me, I consider it a new credit as even though the ride experience will be very similar, the coaster itself is brand new. Personally, I'd consider double-counting Space or Thunder more legitimate than counting a relocated coaster at multiple locations.

It looks like the Imagineering team has really outdone themselves in the final lift tunnel. The family and I were just at the DLR a few weeks ago and I seriously cannot wait to get back to check this out.

A few days ago the Disney Parks Blog posted about the opening of the new Starbucks in Downtown Disney. Well, today it opened and I stopped by to take a few pictures! Enjoy.

This is where the coffee comes from, the wonderfully designed Coffee Bar! The map above the bar shows all sorts of information about coffee and where it is grown.

There's a screen above the Clover Drink Bar. It's showing a video that seems it would fit right into Living with the Land at EPCOT.

Also a really cool living wall in the back of the seating area.

The registers are in one area, away from the coffee bar. No bottle necking here!

It's really quite nice looking!

A screen showing something....it was displaying a very large man, in chalk sketch animation, sitting on the bench facing the screen. Lol. No clue here. I'm sure it does cool stuff as well...

This Starbucks is one of small handful in California that has the Clover machine. This machine brews one cup of coffee at a time, but in doing so, it brings out more of the coffee's flavor. I tried a sample and it was very good! To most people this means nothing (like me) but if you're a real coffee lover this should be something you'll enjoy. There are only about 50 locations in California, and 500 nation wide, with these machines.

Not sure if I posted about my experience dining at Carthay under the WoC menu, but my experience was great! I had the steak, which was a big cut. It wasnt cooked like I requested (ordered medium, but came well done), but I was starving. Our waitress came by with another round of drinks we had ordered and asked how the food was. I wasn't rude about it (its wasnt her fault), but I let her know about how the steak was cooked, but said it was delicious regardless. She asked if I wanted it remade but I was already halfway done with it, and declined. Not even 3min later she returned with an even MORE awesome looking steak, with more of the trimmings. This looked like a legit plate, and made my previous serving look like dog food even though it wasn't. It was cooked to perfection. They're customer service is awesome.

If you're into Pork Chops, the one they offer is HUGE. Like, REALLY HUGE.

Oh! & Order the Sriracha Duck wings. They're like,
