RollingRunner Posted July 29, 2010 Posted July 29, 2010 ^ Agreed. How can you NOT like a roller coaster?
triggernel Posted July 29, 2010 Posted July 29, 2010 ^ & ^^ Go ride Mean Streak, or SOB, and then get back to us
RomanHORSEman Posted July 29, 2010 Posted July 29, 2010 3 worst coasters I've ridden Hurler at Carowinds, Mind Eraser at SFA, and The Rattler at SFFT
Midgetman82 Posted July 29, 2010 Posted July 29, 2010 The worst coaster I've ever been on was the Great American Scream Machine in Six Flags Over Georgia. That ride was so rough, it kept slapping my back and behind my head.
jynx242 Posted July 29, 2010 Posted July 29, 2010 ^^ Hurler was better this year. Even though it is anethema to put a trim brake at the bottom of a first drop, it really made the ride much better. Still not great, but better and my left side didn't end up bruised.
Canobie Coaster Posted July 29, 2010 Posted July 29, 2010 Worst coaster ever for me would be Enchanted Forest's old Kiddie Coaster. I remember it being an incredibly painful experience when I was 4 years old. As for the worst major coasters I've been on, I'd go with the old Rebel Yell that went backwards since that was incredibly bumpy the whole way through and gave me a really bad headache. Also up there would be Canada's Wonderland's Flight Deck. Now I know why everyone despises SLCs because this one took pain to a whole new level.
cal1br3tto Posted September 24, 2010 Posted September 24, 2010 The most boring family/thrill coasters I've ridden are: Corkscrew at Valleyfair (although I appreciate the scenery) Klondike Gold Rusher at Wild Waves Theme Park Ninja at Six Flags St. Louis Wildcat at Puyallup Fair Pony Express at Knott's Berry Farm My least favorite wooden coasters are American Eagle at SFGAm and Grizzly at CGA.
jynx242 Posted September 24, 2010 Posted September 24, 2010 Most recent: The Boss at SFStL. It should have been awesome and I liked the layout very well, but it just sucked the joy right out of me. I truly wish I had been ejected from the train before the double whammy helixes at the end. It would definitely have been less painful.
XII Posted September 24, 2010 Posted September 24, 2010 The worst coaster I've been on would be Dragon @ Adventureland with Wild Beast @ Canada's Wonderland being a close 2nd worst.
cfc Posted September 24, 2010 Posted September 24, 2010 ^After riding Dragon this summer, I agree that it is quite bad--but I think Ninja at SF St. Louis might be a bit worse.
themeparkman25 Posted September 24, 2010 Posted September 24, 2010 (edited) Edit: answer removed. Edited January 8, 2011 by themeparkman25
wlmoorer Posted September 24, 2010 Posted September 24, 2010 ^I think Ninja at SFOG is worse than GA Cyclone...but you are gonna need an appointment with a chiropractor after riding either one of those!
themeparkman25 Posted September 24, 2010 Posted September 24, 2010 Honest to God, I didn't mind Ninja at all. I thought the ride had a fun layout, some cool elements and there was no line! I even rode it twice!
imawesome1124 Posted September 24, 2010 Posted September 24, 2010 Hurler and Anaconda at KD, they are the only coasters that I try to avoid. The strange thing is that they used to be some of my favorite coasters.
RandyV Posted September 25, 2010 Posted September 25, 2010 Hands down - The Boss at SFStL. Regrettably, the first coaster I rode the day I was there. Thinking there were better seats, I foolishly rode again. What a waste of wood. First runner up -- any Vekoma inverted coaster. Randy
y2lukin Posted September 25, 2010 Posted September 25, 2010 Predator @ Darien Lake before the new trains, it is much more comfortable now. Now it would have to go to Disaster Transport or Mean Streak. Both complete wastes of space. I actually liked SOB, a bit of pain can add to the thrill
KDcoasterMAN Posted September 25, 2010 Posted September 25, 2010 Mean Streak... Only coaster to ever give me a bruise... Thos nice yellowish and bluish ones...
bobbinbop20 Posted September 25, 2010 Posted September 25, 2010 Medusa at Six Flags Mexico. You can feel your brain rattle around inside of your head, you breath in Mexico City smog and it feels like it's gonna derail on every turn.
The_Mad_Hatter Posted September 26, 2010 Posted September 26, 2010 ow. That's difficult. It'd be between Desperado and Manhattan Express (as most painful) although personally I wouldn't consider either of those coasters "bad," although I am not a huge boomerang fan...
ericm95 Posted September 26, 2010 Posted September 26, 2010 Definitely Kong at SFDK and Manhattan Express
G-Force! Posted September 26, 2010 Posted September 26, 2010 ^Kong was horrible when I rode it, but to be honest of my recent coasters I have been on, Vortex at CGA was the worst. So much headbanging you would have thought you just got out of a boxing match.
chadster Posted September 26, 2010 Posted September 26, 2010 the only ride I've ever had a headache on after riding it was the Great Nor'easter @ Morey's Piers. Love the park, dislike the SLC. The only ride I've had a back ache on after riding, Mean Strike, like the layout, dislike feeling like I'm driving down an Oklahoma Turnpike with no suspension. (hint: ok turnpike = pot holes, buckeled portions of road, bumpy, bumpy, bumpy, and bumpy)
CardCraze Posted September 26, 2010 Posted September 26, 2010 Roar at SFA or Hurler at King's Dominion
Lamoure Posted September 26, 2010 Posted September 26, 2010 Fo' sure 100percent: Coaster Express at Parque Warner. One of the best themeparks, with one of the worst woodies ever !!
