  1. Yeah Bert - luckily there is a lot that he can do and enjoy. I've spent more time on the Antique Cars in the last year and a half than I spent on them in the last 30 years!
  2. So - with the Mask thing being updated....does anyone have any thoughts/predictions on how long the place will be a S*&tshow for? Went last Sunday (when masks were still being required,) and it was MUCh busier than usual for a Sunday. I'm assuming that now that the anti-mask brigade folks will get back to the park that it will be a madhouse for a while. I'm fine when I go on my own, but I'm usually there with my 5 year old great nephew, which is a completely different experience when it comes to lines, etc. He's a good kid, but when lines get over 1/2 hour he starts to get restless and grumpy. That's why I usually take him on Sundays. Thoughts? David
  3. ^I got an "almost" night ride on Voyage several years ago and it left me wanting more. That's the main reason I'm thinking of doing this event next year! Is the Santa Claus In still the only hotel in the area??
  4. Can someone here give me a basic overview of how Hollywood Nights works? I'm tentatively planning on going next year and really have no idea where to begin. Isn't it usually late spring?
  5. I've actually had a couple of fantastic visits this month. Went last Sunday and this Sunday - very low crowds and very little frustration. Staff seemed overall very helpful and energetic as well. Was hoping some of the Holiday lights would be turned on last night, but they aren't yet. Also, haven't ridden the Mine Train in the dark in about 35 years (a three year old will change your ride priority list,) and that was a TON of fun.
  6. Those trees lit up in the woods were really very lovely! Everything looks great (as I would expect from them.) Thanks for braving the cold and sharing these Chuck.
  7. Awesome report as always! I absolutely LOVE going to fairs, but have never been to one overseas. A German Fair is most certainly on my bucket list to do before I'm to old to do it any more!
  8. ^The new trains/restraints really make a huge difference on Ninja Hawk. It still has some of the jerky transitions, but they don't give you a sucker punch to the jaw any more. It would be cook if SFStL would do this on your Ninja - but then it would be yet ANOTHER year where you guys don't get a good new addition.
  9. Zach - awesome report as always! Congratulations on the baby!! I'm excited for you guys.
  10. WOW! This looks simply amazing! What does the "extreme" haunted house entail? It seems like they were all pretty extreme to me!
  11. Great report as always Chuck - I absolutely must make it to Sweden and Grona Lund someday.
  12. Great report as always Chuck - I absolutely must make it to Sweden and Grona Lund someday.
  13. Not gonna lie - I was happy to see that you had posted another report! Thanks, it was great as always. I really, really need to get to Fiesta Texas some day.
  14. Had some "me time" at the park this week. One of my favorite rides anywhere
  15. You should definitely be able to do SFoG in one day. Even on fairly crowded days only Daredevil Dive and Superman get irritatingly long lines due to awful capacity/dispatches. Note: their Kiddy is actually pretty good, but only has one train. If that is something you guys want to get - I'd do it earlier rather than later as its line can get pretty long. I know this because having a 3 1/2 year old as ones constant companion can mean I spend longer in line for the kiddy than I would for Twisted Cyclone or Goliath
  16. Bert - I was totally thinking of you when watching this season. I have completely fallen in love with Louisiana this season. She has done really well and seems like just a FANTASTIC person.
  17. I'm kind of obsessed with this show! For those who don't know what it is, it is like the opposite side of the coin from RuPaul's Drag Race. This is the spooky, heavy metal, filthy drag competition to become the next Drag Supermonster. The tag line is: Drag, Filth, Horror, Glamor Thoughts???
  18. Looks like a cool concept - I like the idea of the free fly type ride doing something other than zac-spin type maneuvers. I'm looking forward to see what this is going to do!
  19. You know - I never even knew that this place existed. I mean, I knew about the Space Needle, but it's really cool that this whole park surrounds it. Thank you for posting!
  20. Thanks for the pictures! That just reminded me of how much more intense Vampire seemed than other Batclones.
  21. ^ You guys will have a great time. Since I recall that you are not a "Flash Pass" kind of guy I'd highly recommend rope dropping Dare Devil Dive. It is by far the smoothest Eurofighter I've ever ridden but the capacity is garbage. You will have to pass Scorcher and Twisted Cyclone, but trust me and do it. Superman was the 1st flyer and actually uses terrain to its advantage but remember that it is a flyer and loading times can be a bit rough. Of course, don't miss Mindbender - it is AWESOME - try to get a couple rides in the back seat. Monster Mansion - don't miss it. It is an old but incredibly weird and well dark ride. Like most Six Flags, your wait for food will be frustrating - but they have actually been serving decent food this year so that is a plus. it is a VERY hilly park, so be prepared for that and use the Sky Buckets to your advantage. If you have any specific questions, please feel free to ask. I've been going there most of my life and actually take my 3 year old every weekend. David
  22. ^Knoebels has always been one of those places where it just feels impossible to run out of things to do and see! Truly, I've only ever spend 1 day at a time at the park and it NEVER feels like enough time.
  23. That's an awesome article! I absolutely loved the piers when I last visited so reading things like this just makes me happy. They seem like a fun group of people all around.
