  1. ^I hate hearing stories like that. Amusements parks are supposed to be fun and it kind of sucks when people take that away from other people enjoying the park.
  2. Another great report! Thanks so much for sharing. I'd seen pictures of the MariCar thing before but had no idea how it worked or that it was so very well organized. Thanks for those pictures as well. David
  3. Awesome report! I really enjoy your sense of humor and feel the same way about Lightning Rod! David
  4. Went yesterday as well. Scorcher looks great! Didn't get to ride any of the major rides as it was my three year old great nephew's first time to Six Flags. We rode Jokers Funhouse Coaster and his first words to me as we pulled back into the station were "uncle Babe, ride again!!" I'm so glad - if he didn't like roller coasters, I'm afraid I'd have to disown him Great day at the park and it is cool to see it again for the first time through his eyes.
  5. ^^ Thanks for the report! As always, I really enjoyed it. ^ If I may ask, how did you find SkyRush underwhelming? I'm not putting down your opinion, but of all the things I've heard people say about it, Underwhelming has never been one of them. It's usually about the insanity, fearing for your life or bitching about the restraints. David
  6. There - fixed that for ya' All things considered, at least they are doing something and they've FINALLY added the bathroom in the back of the park that has been needed for so long.
  7. Thanks for the Viper footage! I really loved that ride and like Seddy said above me, I used to be able to marathon it. I also remember it being heavily themed for a Six Flags ride!
  8. ^Agreed! More than worth it for the awesomeness that is a day at Knoebels.
  9. Awesome pictures! None of the attractions at Canobie really stand out to me (well, the dark ride because it is awesomelly bizarre,) but the park as a whole definitely stands out. I loved our day there and especially enjoyed the fact that they still have a Rotor ride. David
  10. I wonder what the deal is for the Member's Lounge? It's replacing what used to be a pretty good restaurant. Also - it's odd that they have put another chicken place literally "spittin' distance" from JB's. Has that menu changed any? Thanks for the posts and pictures. Wasn't able to go this weekend myself. David
  11. This looks Fantastic! I like that is is kind of "quirky" for an RMC - lots of little dips and hops along with the large drops and overbanks. Looks like a ton of fun. David
  12. Completely enjoying your Trip Report and your perspective on Japan! Japan is on my bucket list so it's always great to see it from other peoples perspectives. Thanks for posting.
  13. ^ I can't believe Smashing Pumpkins is playing at a Six Flags. I saw Garbage open for them at the Omni in Atlanta years ago.
  14. I think "mucus pajamas" is my new favorite color. Great pictures as always! David
  15. Great pictures! Great Escape is really a little gem of a park. I agree with your assessment. David
  16. The really odd support structure is turning out to be pretty impressive! Also - good on them for the increases in salary!
  17. This post made me happy. I'm glad Bill and Britt could meet up with you for your Birthday! Happy Belated (by a fair margin) birthday by the way.
  18. ^ same. No Kumba, I'll wait to visit until it's open again. Busch is a fantastic park all around and I'm sure I could have a lovely time without riding it...but that zero g is bliss. David
  19. I'm a dumbass too because I thought the same thing.
  20. Great report! This place has been on my bucket list for a very long time. Since the Canadian Mindbender's southern cousin SFoG Mindbender is one of my favorite rides ever - I've always wanted to ride it. I also wanted to mention that one of the things I REALLY enjoy about your reports is that you can always see your joy at being at a park. Things have to be SERIOUSLY F&^@ed up for you to mention negatives. You seem to enjoy yourself, roll with things and you don't bitch about every little inconvenience. Just wanted to mention that as I appreciate it. David
  21. As always, I loved your reports. I'd heard of Castles and Coasters, but didn't know that Wildlife World was a thing. If I ever make it out to that area, I'll definitely check them out. David
  22. This is just so much taller/larger than I thought it would be initially. It looks so funky that I'm really excited to see it run! David
  23. ^those of us who know you from on the boards definitely get your jokes David
  24. Is the light fixture in the Crystal Pistol? I can't remember seeing a fixture like that elsewhere -except maybe for the "old time" photo booth. D
  25. Is this coaster going to be near their Shark Exhibit? Will they theme it like they did with Mako in Orlando? Hopefully they do because they did a great job and brought life back to the Shark part of the park (which was always one of my favorites.) D
