azza29
^It does indeed. Glad to see a park buying a motocoaster that lasts more than 45 seconds!
Meteornotes
This looks very cool. Hope to ride it in 2014! dt
rollin_n_coastin
What a perfect fit for the park. They have their big coaster and now another great looking family coaster to go with Thor's Hammer. I don't know about you guys but where they call out "airtime" on an Intamin coaster, I bet it'll be some "super insane crazy what just happened to me on a moto coaster" type moment
_koppen
Here's a picture of one of the vehicles, the CEO and a model of the ride with the theming. Sorry it's not bigger, but for that you have to be a paying subscriber.

larrygator
Totally agreed! Sounds like the 2014 Scandi trip is going to epic! How awesome can a trip get with: Legoland, Djurs, Farup,Tusenfryd?, Liseberg, Gronalund, than the questions remains? Will it go to Finland? Although Finland is not technically part of Scandinavia, in the US many of us include Finland since it is part of the Scandinavian peninsula. Most of us use the terms Scandinavia and Nordic interchangeably. I'm sure Robb and Elissa will include Finland on the 2014 tour just as they did in 2009. I guess they could name the 2014 trip something like "Nordic Exploration" to differentiate it from the previous tour. _koppen
The ride looks a bit tame in the official video, but this ride will definitely win the most kick-ass train of the year award! And a theming picture
ernierocker
Looks like they are going to do a great job on the theming of the ride and the cars.
Lareson
Those trains look a heck of a lot more comfortable that the Vekoma Motorbike restraints, but there's really no upper back support. Toverland is suppose to be part of my 2014 Europe trip so we'll see if I like those Vekoma ones, but doubt I'll be able to head here to test those new Intamin ones. simon8899
Although Finland is not technically part of Scandinavia I don't think this is correct. Entering Denmark by Autobahn 7 one is greeted by the following 5 flags: Denmark (tallest pole in the middle), Sweden, Norway, Finland and Iceland. All the flags of the Scandinavian contries fearure the "Scandinavian Cross". Source: wikimedia

Loefet
It's interesting to see that Intamin have ditched the hydraulic system that they have used for similar rides (Galaxy Express 999, Mick Doohan's Motocoaster and Jet Rescue) in favour of electrical motors for each wheel. Wonder what it will make for the performance of the ride. Also it would be interesting to see what kind of energy storage system they might use to avoid massive spikes to the electrical grid. I do love what Djurs are doing, the park have progressed a lot since I visited the place several years ago. It seems like it's time to pay them a visit again soon.
