PURE
^^Thanks a lot for the shots, the ride looks great! With the angles of those drops and the newly designed trains, this ride looks like it'll be a lot of fun--unless they brake the hell out of the car at the mid course. But since all of us on here are "cautiously optimistic" about the ride, maybe that means they won't use the MCBR at all?
kraken613
Is it just me or does this picture scream AIR! i223.photobucket.com/albums/dd17/Behemoth230/Behemoth%20construction/100_0047.jpg
sam06pr
Wow they finish this ride pretty quick. It looks fun! Can't wait to see the trains
coasterfreak101
Wow. Half those drops look lopsided, like the construction workers were slightly drunk when they were putting them together. Either way, the thing is massive. Even though nobody can agree on the degree of the drop or how the trains ride before they're even on site, I think we can all agree that Behemoth is, well, behemoth! *EDIT: Behemoth is a behemoth. Turns out "behemoth" can't be used as an adjective.*
CP_RULES
Wow. Half those drops look lopsided, like the construction workers were slightly drunk when they were putting them together. More like they were slightly drunk when they designed them. No matter how wasted they are, they cant really be bolt the track together to make the shaping any different. Is it just me or does this picture scream AIR! I thought the same thing when I saw that picture!
Carnage
More like they were slightly drunk when they designed them. No matter how wasted they are, they cant really be bolt the track together to make the shaping any different. Don't underestimate the skill or lack thereof of drunk Canadian iron workers. You didn't think TTD's technical problems were Intamin's fault did you??
kraken613
^ LOL! This thing is going to be a good coaster no matter what. What B&M isnt good? They might not all be great but they are all good!
Carnage
Some people seem way too optimistic with this coaster. Keep in mind where this ride is being built. It's being built in an area where most people don't even know what a good ride is. So it's bound to have a bit higher expectations because of that. The public is going to think it's the best thing ever, as they don't have anything to compare it against. But really, at least in this thread I don't see many people being "too optimistic". So I'm not sure where you're going with that. Most people in here have been saying they feel underwhelmed, not overly optimistic.
FitchCoaster
Well, I will probably never get to ride this coaster, but quite frankly, I think it looks great (Not being "too optimistic")! I agree what some people have been saying, that it is hard to judge this coaster. It's not even finished yet! I don't think anyone is being too optimistic or not thinking highly enough of this coaster. Everyone has their own expectations and thoughts. I still think that it's kind of too early to judge if it's going to be good or not.
kraken613
Im looking forward to seeing it just because this is a huge cool looking coaster. I still dont get why people would be dissapointed with it before even riding it!
CoasterDude211
I know this has been discussed before but the only thing that really disappoints me about this ride is the train design. I really hope B&M does not make these trains the standard hyper coaster trains. Now I will be more pumped if I hear reviews saying that the trains give a completely different ride than the trains do on Goliath or Nitro. Keep in mind that I hated the Dejavu trains and thought the 'new design' was pretty much pointless and achieved nothing new.
PURE
^^Because they're Debbie Downers. Some people seem way too optimistic with this coaster. I've learned it's better to anticipate a new coaster with realistic expectations that way you aren't too disappointed. This happened to me with Goliath at SFOG. I had very high expectations and was extremely disappointed. Now that I don't have any expectations, I can appreciate the ride much more. Well what if someones optimistic about the ride and then its really really good? Then what? Then you'd feel like an ass for not enjoying a brand new coaster for your first ride because the whole time you were too busy complaining about it! ginzo
Like many in the thread, I'm cautiously optimistic. I find it frustrating that these B & M hypers have layouts to die for but so little force, and I'm always wishing if only they had Intamin trains on those tracks. The new train design looks like it would logically increase the forces but we'll see. See I don't get this. It's true that B&M hypers don't give extreme -g forces like Intamin hypers do. But they have a buttload of floating airtime and the pops last forever. The drops are pretty good also. Maybe it's because I *always* ride in the very back row. This seems to make a difference. I actually prefer the 4 US B&M hypers over SROS at Darien Lake and SFA. Mainly because I hate the stupid modified restraints that bash your shins and scrape the sides of your legs. to whomever came up with that God awful idea. Though I am immensely looking forward to adding the two European Intamin hypers to my credit list this summer.
dandaman
It's being built in an area where most people don't even know what a good ride is. Tel me about it. I ask some people what their favourite rides are and they respond with a Boomerang or an SLC. I'm still looking forward to this ride no matter how boring, crappy or boringly crappy someone else tells me it'll be.

clewis4u
CW has officially changed the angle of descent on their official website. It's still steeper than Nitro anyways! http://behemoth.canadaswonderland.com/public/ride/stats.cfm
FeelTheFORCE
Why would they market it as 85 degrees? Typo maybe?
CP_RULES
Why would they market it as 85 degrees? Typo maybe? It's them dang Canadians! I guess they can change track shaping
Carnage
Why would they market it as 85 degrees? Typo maybe? I'd guess some sort of miscommunication between the park and B&M. They wouldn't intentionally market it as 85 degrees to make it sound better. 230 feet and 75 degrees is impressive enough.
mightypotato
Why would they market it as 85 degrees? Typo maybe? 85 degrees American is only about 75 degrees Canadian. That probably explains it.
PURE
^That seems to be the only logical explaination. There sure are a lot of "approximately"'s on that ride stat sheet. Maybe in case some of the other numbers are wrong? lol...
dandaman
^"How fast will this thing go?" "'Bout 125, I'd reckon." "Yep." "What if it hits a goose?" "...100 clicks and a new red paint job."
kraken613
I think some of those approx. are because they really dont know how this thing is going to run! Why do you think they have 3 trims in a row!
