One of the earliest, Shockwave at SFMM, 1986-1989, I remember people complaining about how rough it was, but for me it was all in how you rode it, let everything relax, Dont lock your knees, and let the restraints support you, keep head against headrest, and Wow, it was like doing several layout flips from the highdive........

I think there was a reason no stand up was build after Riddlers Revenge as it was the best, end of story. Qucik question, is Riddler to longest coaster at SFMM? Seems like it to me but could be wrong

Riddler is 4,370 ft long. Goliath is 4,500ft. Collosus at 8,650ft (if that is both tracks, then one track on Collosus is 4,325ft). All the other rides are around 3,500 ft long except for Superman: The Escape, which is at around 2,000 ft long.

So, Collosus would be the longest ride at SFMM, assuming all 8,650ft of it are just one of its two racing/dualing tracks. If not, then Goliath is the longest ride at SFMM

^^RCDB may be a bit better, but the park's site is fine.

Well, I've only been on one stand-up coaster and it was Kings Dominion's Togo. Despite the opinions of others, I really liked it and found it relatively smooth and it had some great air!

I would have to say Riddler's Revenge is the best i've been on. I've been on Mantis 2x and was strapped in and ready to go again when they shut down all the rides because of a pending storm. Mantis was good, but there was a bad turn at the end that was a little rough. I'd ride them both again though.

Ummm. The Scorcher was built after the revenge.

Georgia Scorcher is easily the best of the ones I've been on. The tight layout and strong forces make it a top 20 for me. It's especially good in the front. I think of GS as sort of a stand up version of Batman The Ride. It doesn't have as many inversions but it's compact layout means a tight, relentless ride that's forceful but smooth.

Chang is also very good, another top 20. Just a solid, smooth ride. Iron Wolf is a little rough but has a great layout and I really like the "woodsy" location. Mantis is the only B&M stand up I've been on that I didn't love. I liked it a lot, it's a B&M after all, but it's too rough. It's awfully nice to look at, though.

I'm a fan of Georgia Scorcher at Six Flags over Georgia.

My favourite stand-up too.

And I LOVE your Man Who Fell to Earth avatar!

I've been on Vortex at Carowinds, Chang, The Georgia Scorcher, Riddler's Revenge, and Mantis: I think that Chang is the Best. I Love its first drop, and the ride just never really lets up after that.

Mantis was the most painful of all the Stand-Up's I've been on. And yes, I've ridden TOGO's!

I've only been on KD's Shockwave and SFKK's Chang. Chang is not really fantastic, but world's better than Schockwave!

Just realized that I should have 3 new stand up credits- Georgia, Vortex, and Skyrider-in about 6 weeks!
