benzo41190 Posted August 31, 2006 Posted August 31, 2006 The one thing that concerns me is the location. I mean everyone would run to this ride first. And that's a really long run! Its like running from the "2 big blue slides" to "Hades" at Mt Olympus! But hey its America! So if you are in shape, you could get in 2 or 3 rides before all the other Americans get to it.
TPDave Posted August 31, 2006 Posted August 31, 2006 http://www.pointbuzz.com/Gallery.aspx?I=5449 LIM launch track anyone? Sorry if it's already been posted...
redunzelizer Posted August 31, 2006 Posted August 31, 2006 can someone hit me up with a link to the cp webcam? Yes, here ya go: http://www.cedarpoint.com/public/fun/webcams/webcam.cfm?chip=1
TexTitan01 Posted August 31, 2006 Posted August 31, 2006 Actually thats a never before seen view, TPDave; and it has shed more light on the launch concept IMO. That track looks like it could do with some LIMs slapped on it later on. I think we may have a lead as to the launch/lift question from this view too... but either way, 1 week left...1 more week until the interrogation letters I keep sending Kinsel become empty threats

I'm willing to bet that a good amount if not most people still run to Dragster. When I was there in 04, It was amazing how many people went straight there, even during early entry for hotels, waiting outside the gates for 30 mins.
NemesisNosh Posted August 31, 2006 Posted August 31, 2006 Cedar Point is thinking?? Hmmmmm... No one liked Top Thrill Dragster.....What the heck...lets build another Rocket coaster with our loose change! ''Good Idea'' -Matt

KaliGirl Posted August 31, 2006 Posted August 31, 2006 What do you mean no one likes TTD? Lots of people like it and it is still a pretty popular ride. People tend to run to Millennium first and then TTD, probably because Millie is a longer ride. Both are excellent.

ECZenith Posted August 31, 2006 Posted August 31, 2006 I have many non enthusiast friends who think Dragster is the best ride in the park... besides, how is this anything like TTD besides the fact they are the same color and manufacturer? I think it's looking great so far, and this is only half of it!
Wathell Posted August 31, 2006 Posted August 31, 2006 I think it's looking great so far, and this is only half of it! half, hopefully they are only a quarter way done!

redunzelizer Posted September 1, 2006 Posted September 1, 2006 What's about all these rumors that the old canoe station is going to become an adult book store? Someone said there could be yet another record breaking ride within that, to be promoted as "smallest ride on earth", only about 5-7 inches tall? He said that the ride had to be erected by the vistors themselves, each time they would want to take a turn on that one. Also there would be tons of brochures and flyers depicting the construction process in very detail, so even rollercoaster fanboys of appropriate age, who haven't yet experienced anything smaller than Top Thrill Dragster would be able to follow right from the beginning. Since Intamin obviously failed to recycle the canoes for their new AquaTrax, something else must be happening with it.
