Cedar Point (CP) Discussion Thread

P. 2037: Siren’s Curse tilt coaster announced for 2025!

Recommended Posts

Oh, and no one has bitched about the parking lot coaster at CP??

It's only a parking lot coaster if a majority of the ride sits on the parking lot and the park doesn't bother to remove the parking lines (a la Scream).

Adding to Steve's comment, the parking lot below it will likely still be functional.

Here is the concept art for Cedar Point's new ride, which will be "officially" announced tomorrow. It will the fifth B&M Wingrider to be built--and the largest and tallest one to date!

Gotta love how they're using the park's main entrance as part of the ride.

Its nice to see something new at the Point. I doubt it'll be one of my favorites, but I'm sure its going to be worth a ride or two every time you visit. Not to mention its highly photogenic, and the color choices are absolutely beautiful!

Wow...this looks seriously awesome!

CP is going to have yet another coaster going up the lift next to the water with a pretty sweet view - hope the lift is a bit slower than some of the newer coasters so it will give you time to take it all in. How fast are the lift hills at DW and SFGA compared to other B&M's?

The keyholes at the entrance gate are sure to have families and coaster enthusiasts looking above them while they wait in line to purchase tickets and go through security. Wonder how many flat tires, bumps and knock-over's will happen as a result of this? It could turn into human Dominos!

This looks great. Hopefully they will be able to load both sides of the train at the same time, unlike Wild Eagle. It should suck up some of the crowds from TTD, MF, and Maverick too. I wonder how many inversions this thing will have, and if it's going to be over 210 feet; That's the record for Wild Eagle even though it only has a 130ft drop. So I'm hoping they're not going for the biggest drop at 150ft or whatever.

Holy crap. In ten years when the wingrider craze is being looked back on, THIS will be the signature coaster to come from that era. It's a stunning, knock-out replacement for Disaster and fits the park perfectly in every way. Mega-looper, airtime hill, revitalizes that section of the park, great color scheme, incredible one-of-a-kind main entrance. I can find complaints in every new coaster announcement these days but this one is just really really good.
