Cedar Point (CP) Discussion Thread

CP said that someone on the Facebook page was "exactly right."

 

The only two things I saw that were at all plausible were the idea about announcement times (which is probably right) and somebody pointing out that KD has one B&M, Carowinds has 2 (not counting the new one) and CP would have three if they got a B&M next year.

 

But it's probably about the announcements.

Well the games they play can be fun but I like it when someone leaks out all the plans then when they make the official release we know most of whats going to happen.

lol I am in no way upset about anything. I just prefer not to get so involved with wild theories and speculation. It also gets annoying hearing the same old aquatrax and 500ft jokes that 13 yr olds and you repeat over and over. It can ruin a thread, that for the most part, is rather exciting and interesting.

I know, that was my thinking as well.

But I don't know. It could be that they didn't want to reveal that Carowinds is getting a B&M.

But like I said, it's not likely, lol.

Pretty cool thing, well at least for my uncle, Mike Bellamy.

 

My uncle was at CP yesterday. He was wanting to win the ride on MF with Jeff Gordon, turns out he won the grand prize, race tickets, pit passes and all the extras on Sunday. Got to meet Gordon yesterday and will meet him on Sunday again. He will be wearing a Coastermania T-shirt on Sunday, look for him on stage during the pre-race ceremonies.

 

I know this if off topic, but thought it was pretty cool. I am sure he will show up on a video or pics on CP website or Youtube channel.

Dang! Your uncle is lucky! Im a HUGE Jeff Gordon fan. I've always wanted to meet him in person, heck riding MF with him would have been freakin awesome! Cool to hear he won the grand prize.

Height (6ft) X Weight (175) / Years Pro (4) + Number (3) = 265.5

 

The new coaster is gonna be 265.5ft tall!!!!!!!

Hey I just got back from Soak City and thought I would share some news.

 

A man was taken out on a stretcher after, what I assume, to be falling getting on the large raft slide. I was on line for another slide and we heard the whistles and saw 13-16 lifeguards running up the tower. I did not ask too many questions because it wasn't really my business but I did see the guy get carried out on a stretcher with a neck brace on and a breathing assistant.

 

I hope he is ok!

That would rule out a B&M then since they don't build over 230 ft.

^I think B&M has been ruled out since the get-go. I don't remember hearing or reading anything at all that would tie B&M in with CP 2010.
