Cedar Point (CP) Discussion Thread

P. 2037: Siren’s Curse tilt coaster announced for 2025!

Recommended Posts

My guess is it's a coaster (wow, really?), but there's plenty of enough room for the lift hill on the walkway side of the waterway, with mulitple crossovers to Millenium Island and back.

If it is a GCI and located in Frontiertown, I would think they could recycle the name that was proposed for Great America (CA.) and call it "Stampede".

By the way, any TPR CA. members know what the heck is going on with that "in-development" coaster over there? or the proposed Stadium for the 49ers (though I suppose this isn't the thread to answer that ?)

Last I heard the coaster was still a go and Cedar Fair was might sue the 49ers because they kept some information from Cedar Fair, I don't have the link but it's in the California's Great America discussion thread. Also the design was slightly modified because of the bitchy prudential neighbors and last rumor was it could now be a hybrid coaster.

We also have to consider the fact that there has been no construction for footers or any track arriving. We have to assume that all work would be done during the off season. That means the ride can't be really big and filled with large elements. It might be something like a space diver (like flashback) in the sense that it is filled with inversions in a small footprint. If it were a GCI, I would we would have seeing some lumber or cement coming in. They only wooden coaster that I think could be built in that time is a Intamin Pre-Fab wooden coaster.

A mid-size wooden coaster would seem to be plausible right now. No track would be arriving, just bundles of wood that could easily be hidden somewhere at CP. But, I guess I shouldn't put my money on anything, I'll just wait for the announcement, if there is one.

Don't forget...sometimes guessing reasonably what a ride is going to be can be just as accurate as reading hype and rumors. Many times with some hints and land clearing and looking at what the park already has what makes the most "sense" ends up being the prevailing rumor.

And then after you guess right you can claim you had a source all along!

In fact, I've taken the art of future coaster speculation one step further, and have already ridden the "New for 2015" coaster. I won't say where they found the room for it, and it has more airtime than Millennium Force. That's all I'm going to reveal. Discuss.

Dippin Dots guy tells me that the new for 2015 ride will be a 300 foot tall, inverted prototype wooden Aquatrax with Maverick's heartline roll on the lift hill. At the top riders pass through a flaming ring's filled with lockers and lasers. Then the ride drops into a gigantic concrete trash can and does 20000 loops on the moon. The ride will be snake and horse themed and feature a world famous condiment splashdown...

Yeah the hammerhead turn is technically an inversion in my opinion because the track is tilted over 90degrees putting you somewhat upside-down even though you don't notice it on the ride...

I almost won the lottery once too. I only had 2 of the 6 numbers correct, but since it was close, I consider myself a millionaire.
