I'm not saying you are wrong or anything, but, how do you know this? Or are you just speculating?

I think they just shut the ride down because of rain. I haven't seen it run in 15 minutes.

Three injured in Cedar Point roller coaster accident

Cedar Point officials say one of the coaster's trains was ending its ride, when it rolled into a stopped train at the loading station. Three people were taken to the first aid center. Two were treated and released. The third passenger was transported to an area hospital for an asthma condition. The Magnum was back open as of Sunday. In Dayton, Ohio, another three people were injured on a kids' ride at RiverBlast. Witnesses say the ride jolted forward as children were exiting, dragging some along in a circle until the ride was shut off. A 6-year-old girl and a 10-year-old girl were taken by ambulance to Children's Medical Center of Dayton, where they were treated for cuts and abrasions. Another 1-year-old was brought to the hospital by a parent.

I don't think so. I saw a train waiting at the bottom of the lift hill.

Looking around i cant find on but maybe that's because the park opened maverick today and it's the morning.

 

The ride looks awesome and i hear the second launch is the best.

 

I cant wait to ride it!

I agree, If it was big then it would have a lot more coverage than 4 sentences. I hope the people weren't hurt.

Just riding Magnum causes me non life threatening injuries. I wonder what happened tho.. the weather looks pretty crappy on the webcams.

Theres just smoke and lights in the tunnel apparantly. And the arch of water is the water effect they talked about.

When I was working there in 1999 (not on that ride however) the E-Stop was hit and so the train at the start of the lift stopped however the train coming into the station blew right through the station and headed up the lift missing rearending the train on the lift by less than a foot.

it 'rolled' into the station. Doesn't sound like it was going fast, 15mph tops is my guess

I caught that coolest shot of Maverick that I have seen yet earlier. I got very lucky with it.

Even though this incident was pretty small, I bet it will stay closed for at least a week, maybe more. They have to investigate and find out why it did this, and when they do, who knows what all they'll have to do to fix it, unless it was just human error.
