cal1br3tto
^^^/^^^^Cool! Yeah, I was also wondering if parks generally have estimates of inaccuracy due to people playing with the turnstiles (probably still ends up negligible in comparison to actual ridership), non-riders passing through, and riders not passing through. So you two helped clear up my bonus questions too.
thrillseeker4552
I said this before, but I would have loved to see RMC put a 7-car train on Steel Vengeance to give it that extra edge in terms of capacity. I know Cedar Point has stellar operations, but given the 24-passenger trains and difficult restraints, and the popularity and hype for this ride, I have a feeling the line for this is going to break all sorts of records... But then again, maybe we wouldn't be able to have some of these maneuvers if it had 7-car trains, so you give and you take I guess.
DoinItForTheFame
Correct me if I am wrong, but we have yet to see a park with consistently great operations run an RMC. Silver Dollar City has an RMC. . . . I have a feeling the line for this is going to break all sorts of records... And just like every other coaster at CP after it's first year it's crazy insane lines will diminish to some what manageable.
Password121
I’d bet the drop would be closer to 85 degrees with 7 car trains. I-305 has 85 degrees at 300 feet with long trains, Skyrush has 85 degrees at 200 feet with shorter trains. Alan Schilke said the 90 degree drop was only possible at 200 feet and above, so a longer train would raise that height further.

Are there any other 18 year olds who have anymore insight on how Cedar Fair and Rocky Mountain Construction could have created this roller coaster to run more efficiently? Any additional input from the inexperienced is appreciated.

I didn't bash the ride or Cedar Point or RMC. There is no question that this ride will have an enormous line, and its capacity will be "average" when compared to other people-eaters in the park. I didn't realize this would be the type of post to instigate an overly sarcastic response. Sheesh.

bluestreak
So yesterday was the Ride Warrior Club Holiday Party. The awesome PR people put together a Q&A and nice tour around the park, highlighted by a walk through the Steel Vengeance infield, and walking under the Millennium Force lift hill. Of note in the Q&A - Ride Warrior Club will not be returning for 2018. Basically the logistics of it weren't working out for the park. I know most on here don't really care, but for the locals who use Ride Warrior Club for the great events it's a shame. But it is understandable. - Steel Vengeance is obviously going to be ready much earlier than other rides if all goes to plan. Tony highly suggested getting your platinum pass for possible events prior to official opening day. Nothing confirmed but the possibility is there. - Not much of a surprise but Winterfest is not in the plans for the park. Not off the table but definitely wouldn't get your hopes up. - Front of the line passes from plinko, Tony's tweetups, etc will not be valid for Steel Vengeance for the 2018 season. They're expecting it to be just too much of a cluster to begin with so added in the front of the line/exit passes will just be too much. I took a pretty decent amount of pictures of the deconstruction of the stadium, Steel Vengeance, and Millennium and I'll post them below. Thanks to Tony, Kristy, and the whole CP crew for putting together a fun event, and thanks for a fun 2 years of Ride Warrior Club! Thanks for an awesome day! thrillseeker4552
Nice pictures! I know Winterfest was a long shot, but it was fun to think about. Even if they pulled a Kings Island and only opened like one coaster (Wicked Twister since no valleying?), it’d still be fun to visit the park in December if possible. Maybe one day. ratdogg68
No surprise on Winterfest at CP, it wouldn't work. Minus the Very Cold temps, off the lake, not much could be open. They would have a very hard time staffing, most of their employes's are out of towners. Just don't seeing it being a money maker for them, not many locals would be interested. They have too many rides to check over winter to keep them open til 4 months before their season begins.

The first drop on Steel Vengeance looks amazing, but I have to say that the pictures of Millenium Force are my favorites. Such a majestic and elegant structure! Ape
I personally would love to see them put one of those fancy super loops in. Think of the endless entertainment we would get from watching people cry about it.
