Josh, Daniel, Marcel and countless other TPR members that have worked at Cedar Point all deserve props and kudos to pass along to all the other awesome ride op's at CP.

 

You guys and gals do a fantastic job to make the experience even more enjoyable than the world class round-up of kick-ass rides and coasters - FOR REAL!

 

Thank you so much! We all love working for the park. It's literally the best job I've ever had!

 

For those attending Coastermanaia I'll be working Valravn for the morning ERT through 8PM then I'll be making a guest appearance working Top Thrill Dragster for the 10:30pm-12:30am ERT!

Our shift is 5:30AM-1:30AM, we're all so crazy here I believe there's 7 other people sharing that shift with me. Not necessarily the same rides but we're all working t both ERT's. Insane? Yes. Fun? Most definitely!

Bill, riding Valravn in the rain sounds much more appealing than when we rode it during Mayfly season. We knew we made a mistake when we pulled our harnesses down at night and discovered they were each peppered in dozens of Mayfly carcasses. I was nervous about the possibility of catching one in the eye.

 

When I went to the park a few weeks ago my very first ride of the day was Valravn, front seat, far left side. As soon as we were released and began to drop a kamikaze mayfly smacked right into my glasses thus I had to deal with a black spot on my lens until I got to the brake run to wipe it off.

 

This is the time of year you wish you had those big a$$ spiders in fall hanging around to eat these things.

If you look closely, you can see ledgers framing the drop... It looks to be 90 degrees, most likely the steepest drop on a coaster with a significant train length (not short eurofighter-like train)
