viking86 Posted July 25, 2006 Posted July 25, 2006 ^I should kill you and your butter-smooth B&M's for that
thomas2 Posted July 25, 2006 Author Posted July 25, 2006 Ok people I'm sure Wild Train is a great coaster, but this thread is about the new PAX. Please stick to this or open a new thread where you can discuss Wild Train.
stormrider Posted July 25, 2006 Posted July 25, 2006 I remember this ride type in RCT 3. The solid track also keeps with the snake theme, but it did scare me at first after seeing pictures of it  Also, for the record, I feel better after riding a rough ride than a ride on a smooth B&M. The rough ride makes me know I'm on a roller coaster, but the smooth B&M makes me feel strange, like when it inverts, I'm not truely upside down, and when the inversion is done, it feels like only my head went upside down and not the rest of my body. I get off wondering what the heck I went through. They are so smooth that I feel the effects of the ride more than I remember being on the ride . . . if that is understandable Doesn't mean I don't love them though.  And, that Pax shuttle ride looks fruity. There
Gutterflower Posted September 2, 2006 Posted September 2, 2006 http://www.tpv.be/Data/Attractie/3463/pic8_big.jpg  check out this rendering of it. Its a pretty big investment for such a small park. hell my local co-op has a bigger car park.  You should see the one with two vertical loops and a hump after the spike.  Just for reference ive included pictures of the shuttle mentioned here as i assume it will be along the same lines track wise. all photos thanks to PAX.
Jeezus Juice Posted September 2, 2006 Posted September 2, 2006 ^ Seriously...what in the hell? Â Oh, and Wild Train is definately NOT a kiddie coaster. More like a kiddie flinger! That coaster is really amazing for it's size plus it's got to cost what...two hundred dollars for one? Â Anyone up for a trip to Admiral Vrungel? Â Go Yngve! Â -Don
Jumboshrmp Posted September 2, 2006 Posted September 2, 2006 Remember that its only concept-art. I would have been a bit unsure if I wanted to ride if Speedmonster ended up looking like this http://www.rcdb.com/ig3245.htm?picture=1 LOL! It's all outside looping at the bottom! Thats funny! Â That spike looke TERRIFYING! If the train was going the right speed, there is nothing to worry about flying off the end. It would look like you would, and your brain would be all messed up since your'e upside down though.
Blazen_AZN Posted September 2, 2006 Posted September 2, 2006 I've made that exact coaster in NoLimits.... Â creepy.
viking86 Posted September 2, 2006 Posted September 2, 2006 Whoa WTF??? Â The back spike looks like it has the steepest point in the middle and not on the top. That coaster is just seriously messed up!!! Â Yngve "I soooooooooo want to go there" Oestbye
thomas2 Posted December 30, 2006 Author Posted December 30, 2006 Foundations are laid! Â Â Â http://www.floorless.de/gallery/pages/cobraconnyland1.php
kennywood!007 Posted December 31, 2006 Posted December 31, 2006 Looks really....unique. WIth the second spike. Seems like its gonna be a cool ride.
XtremeKing Posted December 31, 2006 Posted December 31, 2006 Holy crap! This ride looks awesome! Â This will make everyone's top five list!
robbalvey Posted December 31, 2006 Posted December 31, 2006 This will make everyone's top five list! Yes...I'm sure it will.

DragonKhan Posted December 31, 2006 Posted December 31, 2006 Funny...  Here we are, building the best coasters worldwide, but what do we build in Switzerland? A russian import  However, I'm REALLY looking forward to finally having the chance of riding a Pax!
Satoshi Posted January 2, 2007 Posted January 2, 2007 ^ oops! you said Russian made this PAX funny ride?! this is real lookin' cool and looks scary when i've got upside down feelin' on this funny track.
Gregor Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 Hi!  You can find a short preview of the new Pax shuttle coaster on our website. We are also able to present some artwork and rendering stuff. Here is the link:  http://www.lifthill.net/berichte/cobra_eng.php  Enjoy!  Greg
RollerC Posted January 18, 2007 Posted January 18, 2007 This looks awsome! Thats going to be a great view of the coaster and I love how it goes over the parking lot and how the loop and spike are right next to the cars. Â
Satoshi Posted January 18, 2007 Posted January 18, 2007 it's really bigger than i thought and it looks mighty unique looping so i guess it would be the greatest stuff at Conny Land. looks like it's also gonna give some airtimes in the hill!
rollermonkey Posted January 18, 2007 Posted January 18, 2007 I hope no one backs into that one support right in the middle of the street!
Kooky Posted March 2, 2009 Posted March 2, 2009 after two years of waiting PAX now delivered the first track segments to connyland.... if they will deliver the rest in the next weeks they want to start building before the park opening at the end of march, if not we still have two wait till september, because the park don`t want to close especially for building this ride! Â Here are the first pics: Â the station ist nearly final: Pic from "tagblatt" Â the first track parts: Â and the cobra head: source: http://www.connyland.ch/connyland/cobra_news.htm
matteocrepaldi Posted March 2, 2009 Posted March 2, 2009 Too bad it's not close the road I use to go to Europa Park. It looks like an interesting ride!
Noxegon Posted March 3, 2009 Posted March 3, 2009 Excellent. I've been waiting for an excuse to go to Switzerland, and this looks like it might be one
Ed Posted March 3, 2009 Posted March 3, 2009 Excellent. I've been waiting for an excuse to go to Switzerland, and this looks like it might be one  The chocolate, cuckoo clocks and theft of nazi gold couldn't tempt you before?  In other news, YAY! This coaster has taken so long to get built that i'm really happy for it!!
RCfanatic Posted March 6, 2009 Posted March 6, 2009 Finally! They've been talking about building this for years now. I always wanted to go to Switzerland, with a coaster there now it'll be perfect .
TheRapidsNerd Posted March 8, 2009 Posted March 8, 2009 Hey Hey! Great to see this one moving forward! Very cool take on shuttle coaster idea.
