Sebbe
Hey everybody! This thread is simple! Rather than having a million little threads about everything that goes on at Heide Park, this thread is designed to consolidate it all into one user-friendly thread. Feel free to use it to post updates, trip reports, questions, comments, and of course, general discussion. For pictures and videos of the park as well as past updates, see TPR's Park Index Page. Official Park Website Below are some links to past updates from the park, you may be interested in. jonathan h
The front view makes it look like a prison. I like the side angle view though.
Hattuchili
^ LOL, Yesterday I have seen the pictures and I thought the same! However, I hope it will look a bit better when it is built! --Sören
DerekRx
Yeah, the first picture reminds me of either a Prison or a school (same difference!) The second one looks more castle-like though. Best thing of all....Pirate Bar! Wonder if TPR will stay here on their Europe trip, whatever year that may be.
Watson
Through a mailing for season pass holders, Heide Park annouced its long awaited new coaster for 2007 : Desert Race. It will be located alongside Colossos. It will feature a launch of 0-100 km/h in 2,4 seconds. That's all the info the park came up with so far. SharkTums
Cool! Glad to hear they finally got that rumored coaster! Can't wait to hear more about it!
DerekRx
Very cool! May not be the fastest, but it looks like it'll be a fun ride and a nice layout, and a bit more lengthy than most launched coasters we've seen lately.
Worm
I'm loving that!! I'm gonna follow this thread freqeuntly for updates, that's for show!
ECZenith
Looks pretty cool, perhaps a Premier coaster like Italian Job.
obeygiant
Looks awesome...I wonder if the cars are going to somewhat look like the photo.
BeemerBoy
This does look pretty cool. Complete with uncapped fiery oil well!?! Bring your own marshmallows. Plus, now we got Mercedes, Mini Cooper, Land Rover, and Mitsubishi (or so it would seem) sponsoring rides. I seriously hope a launched Ferrari Enzo-inspired coaster is next. coasterguy618
It kind of reminds me of Italian Job. It looks fun.
Hattuchili
I also got the E-Mail from the Heide Park. I am really looking forward to that coaster! I am glad they are building something new! --Sören
Scaparri
Awesome!! I'm a huge race fan so I'm loving the whole rally theme going on.
ParkTrips
I wonder if its the Mondial Rally Ride concept.. the cars look KINDA similar
ECZenith
The cars look similar but the concept art shows the ride on coaster-type track rather than that, which looks like "borrowed" Test Track technology.
ParkTrips
Ah, sorry, the first time I looked I only saw the pic of the car, I missed the layout. Well then, moving on....
Jew
Will it be white and green? Or have a clone on the other side of the park?

You forgot Mazda, which sponsors Speedmonster. Zoom Zoom!
Shockwave
Hmm, the acceleration stats are almost identical to Rita! Hopefully Heide Park will get a ncie unique layout in the big area they've got there.
nannerdw
This could be one of the new launched Gerstlauer rides. The concept art shows tri-rail track, which Gerstlauer just used on their new Eurofighter model.
WildMouse
It's great to see that Heide Park are getting a new roller coaster after all this time. Going by the artwork, it 'looks' like it should be fun. So glad that I'm heading out there (along with Hansa Park) next year
DarkStitch626
Will it be white and green? Or have a clone on the other side of the park? Thats pretty funny. Heide park does seem to like that style. I have always wondered though, why do they like white and green so much?
ECZenith
I guess the Gerstlauer launcher would make more sense. Why would they get a US Premier coaster when you have beautiful German technology at your fingertips?
SharkTums
This could still end up being the rumored Aqua Trax. I mean think about it. The vehicle can have a shell to make it look like a boat or a jeep. It's launched. Intamin has a good relationship with Heide and Tussauds. I think that would make that park even cooler!
